All Ben Affleck Posts

Much like his charitable-minded BFF Matt Damon, Ben Affleck is doing his part to be a celebrity who gives back. The doting father took his fourth trip this year to Congo to raise awareness about the problems facing the Central African nation.

The actor, who stars in the soon-to-be released romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You, told the Associated Press, "My hope in being here is primarily to bring attention to the fact that there's a real lack of [assistance agencies] here, a real lack of money going to these folks."

Affleck looked very somber as he took a tour of the refugee camps for displaced people--as well he should. Being a humanitarian is no joke! At least that's people who aren't soul-dead like us say.

Getting picked up from school by daddy Ben Affleck, Violet Affleck gets a special note from her mommy Jennifer Garner. A smiling picture of Jennifer looks out at daughter Violet with the words, "Mama will be right back!"

This trip to school was a lot less crazy than when Violet showed up with both of her high-profile parents. Since Jennifer looks ready to have that baby any moment now, she's probably at home eating and wishing this whole "being big as a house" thing was over with already.

There's no velvet rope here guys. Voting is for everyone! Just because celebrities are doing it doesn't mean it's an exclusive club for VIPs only. While Senator John McCain joined the Saturday Night Live cast to poke fun at himself, host for the evening Ben Affleck did an impersonation of the fast-talking MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann. The actor, who is himself a Democrat, teased the political pundit for his over-the-top partisan stance on his news show.



While in New York, Ben and super-pregnant wife Jennifer Garner took a family outing to a toy store in SoHo with daughter Violet Affleck. I really just hope they didn't take her to Suri Cruise's Build-A-Bear. It's her turf and she doesn't take too kindly to others stepping to her.

Now married to Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck admits that he believes his relationship to Jennifer Lopez was doomed from the start. The 36-year-old actor and director believes that they made the mistake of allowing the media too much into their personal lives.

The staunch Democrat said, "I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible." Of the infamy that "Bennifer" brought them, "I don't think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own."

No matter what, they'll always have "Jenny From The Block." No matter where she goes, we know that Ben slapped that ass.

Christ, she's not going to be the center of attention ever at school. Cutesy Violet Affleck was picked up at school by parents Ben Affleck and pregnant mom Jennifer Garner. They were accompanied by a police escort. Oh, that's going to ensure her popularity. There's the weird rich girl surrounded by cops all the time. I'm not asking her to MY sleepover. She's so full of herself, what with the sirens and the body armor!

Just because it's on DVD here in the States doesn't mean it's been shilled yet abroad. Are these two from the same Dad? I get the hair, but I wonder about the face. Casey's got that intense beady-eyed homeliness thing going on and fratboy Ben's looking like he hasn't slept in a year.

Ben revealed to the press that when he was filming in Boston, the cops thought he might be a drug dealer and almost arrested him. Because drug dealers normally run around with huge lights and a craft services tables. Stop trying to make the cops look like assholes, Ben. Ben says he wanted to use the film to give people insight into a part of Boston that they don't usually see on film. Namely, the ghettoey sections. You could have filmed on my street!

Casey Affleck is the dark horse of the Affleck family. His older brother Ben is all white and stalwart, and Ben's wife Jennifer is sweetness and light. Casey is the artistic, sort of oddball younger brother who's all vegan and sort of weird-looking and brooding.

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm still jealous because his team beat ours in Drama Festival in high school. I know I always bring it up but I'm bitter! They put on some fairytale play and we did one about teen pregnancy and apparently magical pasta pots are way cooler than young mothers shaking their fake babies in strollers. Kim Robinson played the MESS out of that abusive mother.

Here's Casey with wife Summer Phoenix (River and Joaquin's sister) and sons Indiana and Nameless. Yeah, they had another little guy in November and haven't released his name, yet. So I guess it's "you", "the baby", "Ben's godkid", "pee machine" or "#2". Fer chrissakes, name your baby, Affleck.

Matt Damon, are you going to wear that denim jacket with jeans? I know there was a brief amount of time when that was OK but didn't one of the pieces have to be darker? What the hell do I know? I think I once bought a sleeveless hoodie down at the Old Navy.

Matt Damon will be among the celebrity judges for MoveOn.org's Obama in 30 Seconds ad contest. The contest allows Barack Obama supporters to create thirty second advertisments to explain why they back Obama's candidacy for president. The winning spot will be broadcast on national television.

This is all fine, but the wife seriously let him wear that out? In fashion-forward London? She was a bartender in Miami, she's got to have some sort of idea what's going on. I don't care if he's Jason Bourne, this is not Canada in the 80s.
