Reality "star"
Bethenny Frankel revealed to E! News yesterday that she will indeed be on season three of
The Real Housewives Of New York City. Bravo must be the busiest cable network in all the land. They've also ordered the installment of
The Real Housewives Of D.C. as well as a second season of
The Real Housewives of New Jersey. This is me, excited.
*Long Pause. Stares off into space.*The rumors that Frankel will be replaced in the fifth episode of the new season are false. She's staying put the entire season despite
palpable
Housewives tension.
"Apparently
The Real Housewives of New York City are not as close as they have been in past seasons. Bethenny says, 'I only see my castmates outside of filming for press events and sometimes social events. Do I ever just go have plans with anybody when we're not shooting? No, I don't. I'm having my share of arguments and drama for sure.'"
That's disappointing to read. What's with these
Housewives and their insatiable hunger for fame? The
Atlanta cast can't stand each other and now New York? New Yorkers are too smart for such cattiness (hellooooo blanket statement). Where is
Jill Zarin? What would Gloria do if she witnessed the fighting?
Andy Cohen, what have you done?
I digress.
Frankel will also be getting her own spin-off, an untitled Bravo series that shows the natural food chef's struggle to balance her personal and professional life.
"Hopefully I'll be entertaining enough [showing how I] live and work and love, and that will be a television show, but it's not like the
Tori and Dean show where they have projects they do, like opening up an inn."
Dare to dream, Bethenny. Dare to dream.
Frankel's spin-off has not yet started on production. Season three of
The Real Housewives Of New York City will premiere in early 2010
