Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy Are Expecting

The recently engaged Bravo star, Bethenny Frankel, has revealed to People magazine that she and fiancé, Jason Hoppy, are expecting their first child together.

Most famous for her role in The Real Housewives of New York City, Frankel confirmed the news to the mag when rumors of her pregnancy began circulating. "It's premature to be telling people this," Bethenny says, adding that she is only two months pregnant.

She adds, "I haven't even gone through my first trimester. We haven't even heard the heartbeat. My [fiancé's] parents didn't even know." I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict she the future launch of a clothing line for the "skinny" pregnant woman.

Bethenny Frankel Breaks It Down

Reality "star"  Bethenny Frankel revealed to E! News yesterday that she will indeed be on season three of The Real Housewives Of New York City.  Bravo must be the busiest cable network in all the land.  They've also ordered the installment of The Real Housewives Of D.C. as well as a second season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.  This is me, excited.   *Long Pause. Stares off into space.*

The rumors that Frankel will be replaced in the fifth episode of the new season are false.  She's staying put the entire season despite palpable Housewives tension.

"Apparently The Real Housewives of New York City are not as close as they have been in past seasons. Bethenny says, 'I only see my castmates outside of filming for press events and sometimes social events. Do I ever just go have plans with anybody when we're not shooting? No, I don't. I'm having my share of arguments and drama for sure.'"

That's disappointing to read.  What's with these Housewives and their insatiable hunger for fame?  The Atlanta cast can't stand each other and now New York?  New Yorkers are too smart for such cattiness (hellooooo blanket statement).  Where is Jill Zarin? What would Gloria do if she witnessed the fighting?  Andy Cohen, what have you done?

I digress.

Frankel will also be getting her own spin-off, an untitled Bravo series that shows the natural food chef's struggle to balance her personal and professional life.

"Hopefully I'll be entertaining enough [showing how I] live and work and love, and that will be a television show, but it's not like the Tori and Dean show where they have projects they do, like opening up an inn."

Dare to dream, Bethenny.  Dare to dream.

Frankel's spin-off has not yet started on production.  Season three of The Real Housewives Of New York City will premiere in early 2010

Check out the video of Bethenny Frankel chewing out Jon Gosselin (with a little help from Donny Osmond) on last night's edition of The Insider.

NY Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel Replaced By Socialite Sonja Morgan

First of all, I just want to state how I hate how the word socialite is thrown around these days. Kind of like how supermodel is. You need to work for the title, and I don't think the newest addition to the Real Housewives of New York City has.

According to both US Weekly and Life & Style, Bethenny Frankel is being replaced by "socialite" Sonja Morgan. However, according to Bethenny's Twitter, Frankel is going to be on season three.

So who is the newest Bravo bitch? Gawker dug up a little info on her:

  • She's married to John Morgan, a great-grandson of J. Pierpont Morgan of, you know, J.P. Morgan fame.
  • The couple lives in New York, but also live on an island off the coast of Connecticut and on their yacht. They have one daughter.
  • Born Sonja Tremont, she met Morgan while working as the hostess at a Madison Avenue restaurant.
  • She executive produced the 2006 movie The Marsh, starring Gabrielle Anwar as a lady who sees ghosts and Forest Whitaker as the ghostbuster who helps her.
  • She lost 10 pounds in 2005 and was weighing in at a svelte 125. She did it with the Raw Food Detox Diet. She even wrote a review!

She sounds boring as fucking hell. Yawn.

VH1 Divas Live Showcases Dynamic Duets & Splash Solos

There were numerous memorable performances of the evening, but probably my favorite would be "All in Love is Fair" between Stevie Wonder and youngun, Jennifer Hudson. Pared down with a simple piano and microphones, the duo delivered a goosebump-inducing rendition of the song.

Similarly, Adele and India Arie were perfectly matched as the two took to the stage with India on guitar and the British singer bopping along with her mic to the strains of "Because I am a Queen." In fact, if you close your eyes, it's hard to see where one leaves off and the other begins.

As for the uptempo numbers, Miley Cyrus and Jordin Sparks delivered the most youthful, splashy performances complete with over-the-top dance numbers.

Check out all the videos of the performances after the jump.

PHOTO GALLERY: 2009 Divas Live Red Carpet

It was sparkles and glamour on the red carpet at this years young crop of Diva's at VH1's Divas Live concert. The ladies showed how there is no age limit for a diva. Kathy Griffin gave some advice to the up-and-comers.

On-the-way-up stars "had better grow a nice thick skin -- and also stay thin," comedian Kathy Griffin suggests. "That's essential in Hollywood: thick skin and thin bodies."

Backstage At Badgley Mischka's Spring 2010 Fashion Show

Kim Kardashian has been a regular fixture at this Fashion Week in New York this season. The reality TV star also popped over to the Badgley Mischka Fashion Show in yet another outfit. Girlfriend is working the 80s retro look, complete with the poofy pants and what I believe are shoulder pads.

Other reality television stars were mixing and mingling backstage like Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Killoren Bensimon.

Young Chanel Iman was looking quite glamorous backstage, readying herself to strut the catwalk for the show.

Renee Zellweger Premieres 'My One And Only'

Actress Renee Zellweger stepped out onto another red carpet last night, but squeeze Bradley Cooper was no where in sight. Renee was hit the carpet in New York City in support of her new film My One and Only. The movie co-stars Kevin Bacon and Chris Noth, and was inspired by stories that actor George Hamilton told the late entertainer Merv Griffin about his young life.

She talked about the film to ET. "One of the most fun parts of this experience was discovering that this was based on [George's] life experiences," Renee said. "'Cause it's a great story. I mean, it's so much fun -- you attach to these characters immediately because they're just clever and witty and the banter between them is so unconventional that you just kinda want to see where it goes. It was a page turner for sure. And [the screenwriter] Charlie [Peters is] such a magnificent writer, I just couldn't wait to see what was next ... and then the revelation at the end that this is how he came to become an actor, quite accidentally? I mean, it's just fantastic!"

Way to sell it Renee. Now how about coming clean in regards to hanging with Mr. Cooper.

Housewife Bethenny Frankel May Be Getting Herself A Lawsuit

Real Housewives of New York City star, Bethenny Frankel, may be enjoying more than just swanky events soon. After some reports surfaced that Bethenny was in talks to have her own Bravo show, Skinny & the City, some folks weren't too happy about it.

The New York Daily News reports that Tanya Zuckerbrot, founder of the website skinnyandthecity.com, is already talking with her attorneys about that fact that Bethenny is trying to steal her company name. Although both skinny ladies do approach their work in different ways; Tanya's website offers nutritional advice to women in New York, while Bethenny's book prides itself on the fact that you can enjoy food with fewer calories.

Tanya talked to the NY Daily News regarding the show name. "I was shocked," she said. "I couldn't believe that someone of Bethenny's stature wouldn't be aware of my Web site. Me and my staff spent a considerable amount of time brainstorming [the name of the site] and decided 'Skinny and the City' truly encapsulates the philosophy I preach."

One source close to Bethenny says that nothing has been signed with Bravo yet, but she is definitely interested in her own show. Representatives for both Bravo and Bethenny declined to comment on the story.

Bethenny is definitely the most annoying housewife in my opinion. Plus, she's not even technically a housewife. Please Bravo, do the work a favor and don't give her her own show. It would be totally unfair to all the work Tanya put into making up the name of her site.

Bethenny Frankel Was A Little Nippy At Apollo Celebration

Why on earth do women forget that wearing no bra under thin black fabric and stepping out into the light will expose their titties? That's just what Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel did when she attended the Apollo Theater 75th Anniversary Gala.

I'm thinking she might have been purposefully trying to upstage Mariah Carey, but we all know that ain't gonna happen.

Logo NewNowNext Awards Inspired Red Carpet Fabulosity

I mean, where else would you see a tiny top hat with a giant feather on top on the red carpet? RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Ongina was adorable as always with his shaved head, teensy frame and over-the-top headwear at Logo's NewNowNext Awards. I love that his bright pink clutch is almost as long as one of his legs.

Wendy Williams was certainly getting into the spirit of the event in a wig and tube dress worthy of any respectable drag queen. I love that sassy broad. I think her boobs are almost as big as Margaret Cho's petite sidekick Selene Luna, who looked fabulous on the red carpet. I feel like it shouldn't be too long before she gets her own show.

Lisa Lampanelli was larger than life, as always, with blue streaks in her hair and sporting one of her trademark A-line dresses. The fact that she's so girly on the surface and utterly wrong and vulgar on stage makes my love for her true.
