Beyonce & Taylor Swift Split A Speech At VMAs, Kanye Tossed Out

After Taylor Swift was cut off from finishing her acceptance speech for her win in the Best Female Video category, Beyonce Knowles rectified the situation as best she could.

Knowles told the audience, while receiving her prize for Video of the Year, "I remember being 17 years-old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life, so I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment." From there, Swift finished thanking her fans and gave Beyonce a big hug.

As for Kanye, he was asked to leave the VMAs after his display on stage. Blame it on the A-A-A-A-AL-COHOL, I guess.

Other winners for the evening included rapper T.I., who won the moonman for Best Male Video for his single, "Life Your Life." Best New Artist went to the costume-loving Lady GaGa while Britney Spears accepted her Best Pop Video award for "Womanizer" via a pre-recorded speech.

Eminem's "We Made You" won Best Hip Hop Video and Green Day took home the trophy for Best Rock Video for their video, "21 Guns."

In a sizzling, barely-there, sassy red dress, singer Beyonce arrives at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall. 

The former Destiny's Child frontwoman has been nominated for nine 2009 MTV Video Music Awards including Video of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" and Best Female Video for "Single Ladies" as well. 

Is it just me, or did the woman bring her own wind machine?

Project Lawsuit: Chris March

So everyone remembers Chris March from Project Runway? Well If not, then you'll surely know Beyonce. Well it turns out Chris March, a past contestant on Project Runway, is suing Thierry Mugler for allegedly not paying March for the work he did for Beyonce's costumes on her current I Am... Sasha Fierce tour. Those lady lumps don't stay tucked away with just any leotard!

So here's the deal. It turns out Mugler's training and expertise lies more in the design area, while March apparently has the magic hands to make those fierce costumes come to life.  As March so appropriately noted, Beyonce dances so "wildly" that the importance of understanding her movement in making these costumes is key. Apparently Mugler and March have worked together for almost seven years, working on projects like Cirque du Soleil. So when Beyonce hired Mugler to create costumes for her tour, Mugler called upon March for his help.



That was December. When the tour took off at the end of March (the month), March (the person) and his team shipped the costumes off and put in their final invoice. March claims he was paid for everything until that final invoice, and he simply wants to know why. 



Despite his messy lawsuit, March seems to be doing well with the pilot for a reality show and a coffee table book showcasing his designs from the last 25 years both in the works. March seemed grateful and gave credit where credit was due when he said, "I never would have had this opportunity without Project Runway."



I like that outta Chris March! I'm rooting for him. And not to mention he helped our girl B keep it tight on stage like a real pro. Let's hope he gets paid and they can all move on.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Accidentally Offend

Who doesn't love music's crowning couple Beyonce and Jay-Z? Well, apparently some of their friends didn't after the couple wed. Us Weekly reports that Jay-Z tells O Magazine that he and Beyonce's small wedding offended some friends who weren't invited.

The couple wed in a very small ceremony in Jay-Z NYC apartment with "very few" close friends and family. "The sad part is that we offended some," he said of not inviting a lot of friends. "But people who love you understand. Because at the end of the day, it's your day." I think those friends eventually forgot about the offense though as Beyonce and Jay-Z threw a huge party afterward to celebrate. Yay for no earthquakes.

Jay-Z also talked about his rough childhood, which included selling drugs at the age of 13. "If anyone did become something like that, they moved out," he said. "They never came back to share the wisdom of how they made it. If anyone made it, you never knew it. That's why I've always said that if I become successful, I'd come back here, grab somebody, and show him how it can be done."

Did you know he once escaped 3 bullets? "That was divine intervention. Divine intervention, and nobody knew how to shoot.... No one really practices shooting a TEC-9 machine gun, right? And when you're a kid with little bony arms--no wonder nobody could aim." I think all of his friends should forget about being offended cause if he weren't here there would be no wedding to not have been invited to.

Plus, isn't the huge party always the fun part? Honestly the ceremonies are usually so boring. Lovely, yes. But they just drag. Party is the best part.

Beyonce Back On Solid Ground

Enjoying a night out with husband Jay-Z, Beyonce is thankful that she got back to New York City in one piece. She was in Japan with her sister on a fashion promotion at the Disneyland Hotel in Urayasu, Chiba province when the earth moved a little.

It freaked Beyonce out, but her sister Solange Knowles slept right through it. Solange posted this on Twitter: "My sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring. How did I sleep through a SERIOUS earthquake?"

The earthquake measured 6.6 on the Richter scale. That's a hefty quake.

Beyonce Gets Some Double Teen Choice Award Love

Although Beyonce was m.i.a. from last night's 2009 Teen Choice Awards, it's no surprise the "Single Ladies" diva won two of the night's biggest awards. The fans awarded Beyonce with Choice Music R&B Artist and Choice Music R&B Track for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)."

It was sad not having Beyonce there last night, as there was no one to bring the diva quite like she does. I'm hoping the MTV VMAs will have some more sass to it, as Beyonce will be likely scheduled to perform thanks to her nominations there. Although that didn't seem to excite her at the Teen Choice Awards.

Apparently, Ms. Knowles had to miss out on the teenage festivities as she and her sister, Solange Knowles, posed for photographers during the press launch of a Japanese fashion brand Samantha Thavasa

You know, if she had made it to Teen Choice she could have passed out Hamburger Helper and done as bunch of campaigning for her charity affiliation, Show Your Helping Hand, Sometimes I think celebs need to hire me to do their publicity.

Beyonce, Lady Gaga And Britney Spears Are Some VMA Darlings

It seems to be a ladies party at the MTV Video Music Awards as Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears all received nominations for the hard work the past year. People confirms that Beyonce and Lady Gaga have scored nine VMA nominations each, and E! confirms that Brit-Brit got herself seven.

Beyonce seems excited about her nominations, although you know she totally wants to beat out Lady Gaga. "I'm excited and honored to be tied for most nominated for the VMAs," Beyonce says. "I've been blessed this year to have 'Single Ladies' become a video people really connected with and responded to. I've spent so much time watching all the great versions people created all around the world. It's beautiful to feel you touch people and bring a song to life with a video." I hope she's seen the Joe Jonas one.

Britney got her seven nominations for her videos for "Circus" and "Womanizer", so this is definitely going to be a very interesting night in terms of who wins. Can you believe that his awesome Britney is the same one who did that amazingly bad "Gimme More" performance? I know. It's hard to believe.

The VMAs will once again be hosted by Russell Brand and will feature performances from Pink, Green Day, Taylor Swift, and Muse. Hopefully Britney or Beyonce will grace us with a performance too. I couldn't make it out to enjoy Brit's Circus Tour, so it could be like a private performance for me.

Good luck ladies! I think that they should have dancers dress like Lady Gaga and perform the "Single Ladies" dance to "Womanizer". Yes? Yes!

Kelly Clarkson Unknowingly Rips Of Beyonce?

Kelly Clarkson is not a happy person right about now. Kelly has criticized songwriter Ryan Tedder, claiming that he ripped off her track "Already Gone" from Beyonce's song "Halo." Ryan, who co-wrote both of the songs, says this is untrue and that they are completely different.

He tell Usmagazine.com, "'Already Gone' is one of the best songs I've written or produced since 'Bleeding Love,' and stands on its own merits apart from 'Halo.' They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically and lyrically, and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyonce into recording over the same musical track. The idea is both hurtful and absurd."

Really Ryan? Is it really that absurd? Cause I listened to both tracks, and let me tell you, they sound an awful lot alike. Clearly Ryan and I didn't hear the same things when listening to the songs. "I think when people hear 'Already Gone,' they will hear what I hear: one of the greatest female vocalists on earth giving her most haunting and heart-breaking performance on a song she helped write," he says. "I challenge people to listen and form their own opinions."

Kelly tells Canada's CBC radio that she fought with her label so they wouldn't release the song, and now that they have it's going to sound like she stole it from Beyonce. "No one's gonna be sittin' at home, thinking 'Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same track to write to,'" she said. "No, they're just gonna be saying I ripped someone off." She said they ultimately released without her consent, and that she is still not happy about it.

Well, here's my thing with it. I don't think that she ripped off Beyonce, I think that Ryan found a song formula that he really liked and decided to try it two different ways. They're good songs, they just sound kinda the same. Watch the video and take a listen. Retweet your thoughts!

Beyonce Lends A Helping Hand In Chicago

In the midst of her I Am American tour, Beyonce took some time out to lend a helping hand. Looking stunning as usual, she attended a press conference for the Show Your Helping Hand campaign at The United Center Chicago yesterday. The The Chicago Children's Choir also performed at the event.

Beyonce is a spokesperson for the charity Feed America, and specifically for the Show Your Helping Hand campaign.
