Barack Obama's Inauguration Is THE Party To Attend

Beyoncé Knowles is just one performer who is rumored to be performing at the inauguration ceremony for President Elect Barack Obama on January 20 in Washington D.C.

Knowles has already expressed her availability to perform at the event and now her husband Jay-Z is being mentioned as being on the list of possible performers for the shindig.

Others being teased as possible acts for the evening are Sean Combs, Mary J. Blige and Leona Lewis. In addition, Bruce Springsteen has announced that his upcoming album will be dropping in January 2009, hinting that he might be gearing up for a high-profile surprise appearance.

Beyonce Doing Another Ego-Boosting Flick

This chick is so thirsty for movie stardom that it's not funny. J-Hud edged her out of the Dreamgirls spotlight and starring beside Mike Meyers never helped anyone. Let's see how Beyonce's turn as Etta James in Cadillac Records pans out. In the meantime, she's looking to do a remake of A Star As Born. Oh, it's going to be some raw drama. Beyonce will never be as hot on film as she was when her face took up the entire portion of Jamie Foxx's office in Dreamgirls. That was her greatest performance.

Here she is leaving her hotel in Paris wearing an "interesting" dress and rockin' the Veronica Lake do on her way to an appearence on Star Academy.

She's looking to star in a remake of the classic Judy Garland film that Barbra Streisand's regal self remade in the 70s. There's also some rumor that Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez might be involved. There is no way in hell J. Lo and Beyonce are going to star in the same movie. IMAX screens couldn't contain the amount of ego present.

31st Kennedy Center Honors: Rainbow-Colored Ribbons Abound

Actor Morgan Freeman, bandmates from The Who, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend, choreagrapher / dancer Twyla Tharp, country singer George Jones and singer and actress Barbra Streisand comprised the group of honorees who received Kennedy Center Honors at Pennsylvania Avenue.

Beyoncé Knowles looked like a curvaceous Aubrey Hepburn with her hair deftly piled atop her head in a sleek bouffant. But the best part of that is that she was in attendance at the same event as fellow diva Streisand. Later in the evening, you know they stared each other down from each end of the red carpet and had a wig-off.

But let us not forget that the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter was in attendance as well. Knowles has expressed an interest in taking on the role, but I would guess that Carter can probably still squeeze her tush into those red pantaloons. Girlfriend is well-preserved.

News Bites: Beyonce Feeling Our Failing Economy

This is the single best picture of Beyonce I have ever seen. Like this tassled sunglasses broad has even eaten Cup O' Noodles in the past ten years. She hasn't known the heartbreak of Ramen since "Bills, Bills, Bills." The photos are from her layout in Giant magazine and I need this as a poster.

Britney Spears' 1st husband, Jason Alexander, has been arrested in Los Angeles this week for a parole violation. Alexander, who Britney was married to for 55 hours in 2004 after a quickie Vegas marriage, was supposed to attend alcohol education classes after receiving a DUI conviction in 2006 and didn't. He will spend up to 10 days in jail.

Jennifer Hudson was nominated for several Grammys for her self-titled debut album, and has had to deal with this good news on the heels of the tragic loss of half of her family due to a shooting incident. "It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive 4 Grammy nominations is truly a blessing," she said in a statement. "I'm extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."

Sasha Fierce Shan't Be Conquered By Matrimony!

Taking over the cover of Elle, and from the looks of it, most of the January issue of the magazine, Beyoncé Knowles is opening up about her marriage to Jay-Z some more. Now that she's ~~got an album to promote~~ more comfortable talking about her personal life he explained that their relationship can be a "power struggle."

"But if I didn't respect someone, and they didn't have that strength, then I would be bored,"B clarifies.

And let's be honest, they probably wouldn't be the most ballin' couple on the planet. You know they eat dinosaur eggs for breakfast.

Beyoncé Wasn't Always This Happy

She might be wearing a bright smile on her face here at the premiere for her film Cadillac Records, but when she was nineteen years old, Beyoncé Knowles claims that she was in an emotional funk.

Her blue period came when her group Destiny's Child went through a series of lineup changes, starting with the expulsion of original members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson and the subsequent disruption that it caused.

"For a couple of years when I was nineteen, I suffered depression," Knowles admitted. Life's not always diamonds and cat suits, friends.

Is Sasha Fierce From The Future...Or The Past?

The Daily Mail claims that it's no coincidence that Beyoncé Knowles has been dressing up like a cat burglar lately on stage. The publication claims to have pinpointed the various futuristic looks the "Single Ladies" singer has "stolen" for her looks from her new album.

It would appear that B's latest fashions were inspired by fellow pop stars Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and George Michael. The publication also claims that Beyoncé was inspired by the scene in Mr. & Mrs. Smith in which Angelina Jolie descends on a rope wearing a trenchcoat for one of her on-stage entrances, a device also used in the past by Britney Spears.

Beyoncé's Bootylicious Bodysuit

That woman certainly knows how to package her jelly. Beyoncé Knowles showed up in skin-tight black body suit for her performances of "If I Were A Boy," "Single Ladies" and "Crazy in Love" on the Today show.

Showing the same energy for her early morning renditions as she did for her recent American Music Awards display of "Single Ladies" on-stage, Sasha Fierce prowled the audience in her cat burglar getup in between showing off her signature dance that has even sparked celebrity imitators.

How can someone have that much get-up-and-go so early in the morning? The mountain of money is probably good motivation.

Etta James Turns Up For 'Cadillac Records' Premiere

At the Cadillac Records premiere in Hollywood, Beyoncé Knowles cozied up to singer Etta James on the red carpet. The energetic "Single Ladies" singer has already been getting buzz for her portrayal of James in the film, having recorded her own version of Etta's trademark song "At Last."

As for B, things couldn't be going better for her at the moment. The triple-threat entertainer and husband (yes, she's finally come completely clean, thanks to Oprah) Jay-Z are Hollywood's top-earning couple, according to Forbes, pulling in a whopping $162 million in a year.

As for the red carpet, there were a lot of stunning faces out including Sanaa Lathan and Gabrielle Union, but to keep it from looking too, too polished, Adrien Brody looked kind of homeless in the face. Let's hope it's for a role.

Beyoncé Traumatized By The Miracle Of Birth

Beyoncé (you might know her better as Sasha Fierce) taped an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show to air today, and when asked if she would ever give birth to her formerly top-secret husband Jay-Z's kids, had this to say:

"One day, maybe," the singer said.

Why so enthusiastic? Maybe Sasha Fierce was on break. No, it's because she was in the delivery room during the birth of her younger sister (and the definition of "overshadowed") Solange's kid. Solange is the one who wears freaky outfits to events for zee attention. She's kind of like the sister who tried to have Whitney killed in The Bodyguard.

"I was there in the delivery room and it kind of traumatized me," Beyoncé told Ellen. "I said please don't have me in the room. And she said, 'You have to. I'm your sister. Stop being so silly.' Well, I was right!"

Of course you were. "I'm your sister"? I don't care if we're identical twins, that's between you and the father, homegirl. Stay in the waiting room and have some champagne and let the mom and the doctors do the work. No one needs to be there when there's placenta a'flyin'!
