John Patrick Amedori Departs 'Gossip Girl' Via Argentina

After flying off on a Latin American vacation, E! has confirmed that Gossip Girl character Aaron Rose has left the show and is taking actor John Patrick Amedori with him.

The report claims that Serena van der Woodsen's artist boyfriend was not well-received by fans and "the powers that be" during his story arc on the CW show. As a result, his last appearance on the show was the Dec. 8th episode in which he packed up and took off for Argentina.

As for what this could mean for the on-again, off-again Sam and Diane relationship between characters Serena and Dan Humphrey? Oh, they'll keep teasing us with their flirtations, but it sounds as if they're going to keep stringing along GG fans for at least a few more episodes before hooking back up again.

Blake Lively Braves Crappy Weather To Film 'Gossip Girl'

See? This is the attitude I like to see being displayed by my favorite CW stars. Blake Lively traipses through puddles of water and snow on the set of Gossip Girl in Brooklyn during production of the show as if they were clouds of cotton candy and puddles of happy dreams.

Her whiny boyfriend Penn Badgley was just recently complaining about being gainfully employed on their show. But Blake seems to be more appreciative of the current economic situation and even seems to be taking pleasure in the New York winter weather.

That Leighton Meester seems like another one who knows how good she's got it. You won't catch that girl complaining about her sweet gig.

News Bites: Latest 'Gossip Girl' Makeout Sesh

-The behind the scenes hookups on Gossip Girl are getting to be just as rampant and incestuous as the ones taking place in the script for the CW show. With Blake Lively and Penn Badgley a real-life low-key couple, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick rumored to be seen swapping kisses on the sly at the airport, now it's Taylor Momsen and Chace Crawford who were most recently making kissy-face with one another a the GG holiday party at Haven in NYC.

-Toni Braxton had a tumor removed from her breast after her stint on Dancing With the Stars had ended. The singer told Us Weekly, "Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me." The tumor turned out to be benign and a recovering Braxton admits, "I was very fortunate."

-Jennifer Hudson has returned to work in the wake of the family tragedy she experienced less than two months ago. The Grammy-nominated singer and Oscar-winning actress will begin work on shooting a video for the next single off her album. Production for "If It Isn't Love" will begin next week.

Leighton Meester Can't Subsist On Gossip Alone

That photo of Leighton Meester taking a big bite of a sandwich does her co-star Penn Badgley good. Having expressed a preference for women who aren't "bone-thin," Penn is probably encouraged to see the eating habits of his female co-stars appear to be healthy, unlike certain waifish CW stars. (*Ahem* 90210 anyone?)

To be fair, though, we do have proof that AnnaLynne McCord eats. She eats salad, but still, its' better than breath mints and cigarette butts.

'Australia' Takes A Bite Of The Big Apple

Resident sexy guy Hugh Jackman is all over the place lately with his film with Nicole Kidman Australia premiering all over creation. Now, the cast of the film have arrived in New York to premiere their film at the Ziegfield Theater. In addition, the hunky Aussie was recognized for his sexiness by People magazine, who named him their Sexiest Man Alive.

However, Hugh is quick to downplay the title and let E! know that his wife keeps him grounded. According to the Wolverine actor, "Previously, my wife had said the sexiest thing about me was that I took the garbage out." Admittedly, that is pretty hot.

But now, Hugh's having to step up his game at home since being singled out for his sexiness, "I seem to be asked to take out the garbage more."

Don't you just love it when he talks dirty?

Vogue Fashion Fund Attendees Kick Up Their Heels

It was a smattering of high-falutin' fashionistas in attendance at the 5th Anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund at Skylight Studios in NYC last night.

A serene-faced Charlize Theron poured herself into a black dress and posed with over-the-top fashion designer John Galliano, who favored a top hat adorned with daisies for the evening. He likes to keep it simple, that one.

Television couple Blake Lively and Penn Badgley enjoyed a night out together at the event, while model Agyness Deyn opted for a less conventional look in a pair of sky-high red heels.

And here we are, taking a moment to salute Diane von Furstenberg for simply existing and looking fabulous while doing so. Cheers, darling!

Blake Lively Keeps It Low-Key & Professional

God bless America, Blake Lively's outfit for cover of W magazine seems to say with the Gossip Girl star posing in a red-strapless dress while gripping the Stars and Stripes firmly in her hand.

Lively's interview with the mag had her reasserting that she is far from the party-loving Manhattan uppercruster she portrays on-screen nor does she behave like real-life socialites who litter the red carpet.

"I don't really like to go out. I'll go listen to live jazz, but the club scene isn't so fun for me," Blake insists. The woman is a beatnik. Just listen to her scat!

As for those rumored on-set tensions, Lively claims they're all bogus. "I've never really had a competitive relationship in any work situation."

'Gossip Girl' Stars Enjoy Delicious Juicy Couture

The launch of the Juicy Couture 5th Avenue Flagship store attracted a bevy of young stars including real-life couple Gossip Girl co-stars Penn Badgley and Blake Lively, a fan of the clothing line.

Fellow cast member Jessica Szohr was also there in a bright green dress along with Julia Roberts' actress niece Emma Roberts, who sported a bright yellow frock. Both of them perfectly complemented the yummy Skittles world the clothing line created for the event.

Appropriately enough, Candy Spelling was there as well. Have you seen her website? Check it out. It's a gem. Lisa Loeb looked cute in a simple black dress and Sarah Silverman showed up, and I'm not sure why, but she was dressed as Harry Potter.

As much as long-haired Gossip Girl star Blake Lively might appreciate what some well-timed wind can do for her red-carpet poses, she and boyfriend Penn Badgley look like they're struggling with their umbrella during filming of their CW series on location in Queens.

Oh how I wish this had happened to Rihanna, so that I would at least have some kind of catchy pop reference I could throw in there. Eh?

Us Weekly Celebrates Young, Hot Hollywood

Blake Lively brought her own wind machine to the red carpet of the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood party. OK, that's ridiculous. She actually just styled her hair to look perfectly windswept at all times.

Lively was joined by Gossip Girl co-stars Matthew Settle and her real-life boyfriend Penn Badgley at the event. Also making a strong showing was the cast of High School Musical. After celebrating Zac Efron's 21st birthday just the other day, he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens showed up looking all cuddly and cute along with their buddies Ashley Tisdale and Monique Coleman.

A mopey, but attractive-looking Gavin Rossdale showed up wearing flannel. I love it! He's getting all Jordan Catalano on us. Also, there was a lady there wearing a peacock dress.
