British pop star Boy George served only four months of a 15-month sentence he received for  imprisoning a man in his home. But it was enough time for the troubled singer to get some weight off his chest...and other body parts.

The musician, whose real name is O'Dowd went to jail in January of this year after he had been found guilty of assaulting male prostitute Audun Carlsen. He was just released with a big smile on his face and some of his Culture Club spring in his step.

And it seems that during his time behind bars, 47-year-old George appears to have trimmed down during his incarceration. I guess NOT chaining guys to the wall burns a lot of calories.

When you're a slovenly, makeup-wearing gay man jailed for torturing an escort in a highly public case, you may be shaking in your man-heels about going to prison.

But if you're a a slovenly, makeup-wearing gay man jailed for torturing an escort, who also happened to sing "Karma Chameleon" than you got nothing to worry about.

Boy George had to be moved from Category B Pentonville jail because he was too popular.

Inmates lined up for his autograph and guards were caught being "too kind" by bumming him cigarettes. Boy George had his own personal guard because his cell was a hotbed for starry-eyed murders and rapists wanting to hang with the former Culture Club singer.

"It's ironic that he was worried about getting beaten up in Pentonville but all that happened was people showered him with so much attention and kindness that they had to move him anyway," a prison source said.

Well then. Boy George may have finally found his niche -- in a London tranny version of Shawshank Redemption.

Boy George was finally sentenced this morning to 15 months in prison for his little Chain Up The Male Escort escapade.

The judge found Boy George's treatment of Auden Carlsen, a Norwegian escort/model (tomato, tomahto), "premeditated," "callous," and "degrading."

For those of you thinking: Boy George did whaaaaa? Here's a little background. Back in 2007 Boy George called up a model/escort to "pose for erotic photographs." Boy George got it in his head somehow that the escort messed up his computer. So he did the next logical thing -- chained him up and threatened him.

As noted here, the mere whiff of any kind of sexual anything involving Boy George would turbo charge the nervous system's fight or flight mechanism into high gear, so thankfully Auden broke free and fled to the cops.

Oh, well. Everyone knows Boy George will be the first to drop the soap. Here's hoping there are some takers.

Boy George has had to evict a roommate because the guy is up on child rape charges and....you know what, Boy? Get your pear-shaped, crazy makeup-faced life together! Damn, you were just convicted of unlawfully imprisoning a male hooker! Now you have diddlers staying with you? Stop! Kharma Chameleon is watching you!

The courts have ruled that George has to kick his friend, a dj named Antony Marnoch, out because it would be "unsuitable" for a convict and a rape suspect to stay together.

Marnoch is currently awaiting trial for allegedly raping a 12-year-old boy in a public restroom. What is going on with people? George says that he was letting Marnoch stay with him while he was getting cancer treatments. See what touching kids will do to you?

George faces a possible jail sentence next week for chaining a "model" up in his bedroom and beating him.

It was a year filled with tragedy, evil-doing and dumbass behavior. Let's take a look.

Stalking was at an all-time high this year, with Jennifer Garner, Alyssa Milano and Kirsten Dunst filing for orders of protection against crazies who kept bothering them. That kind of shit is one reason not to go into acting.

In July, actor Shia LaBeouf got his truck rolled after he was in a traffic accident at an Hollywood intersection. It was ruled to be the other driver's fault, but LaBeouf was also found to be drunk at the scene, and cited for a misdemeanor. Someone knows someone down at the police station. LaBeouf severely injured his hand in the wreck.

Anne Hathaway's boyfriend of four years Rafaello Follieri went to prison for getting rich people to invest in his fake Vatican property scheme. Hathaway dumped him right before he was arrested which makes one wonder just how much involvement she had in his arrest.

Heather Locklear was busted for DUI at the end of September in Montecito, CA and gave us one of the saddest crazy eyes mugshots of the year. Locklear was reportedly loopy on pills at the time and had recently been treated for depression. She faces up to six months in jail.

Nick Hogan, dimwit son to Hulk, went to jail in May for felony reckless driving for a street racing accident which left his best friend in a permanent vegetative state. Hogan's behavior during his imprisonment (whining on the phone to his parents, etc.) was rank and there was a definite "blame the victim" mentality among him and his family members. He was released early in October for good behavior before he could be rightfully tattooed on his ass and employed as someone's prag.

In April rage-a-holic supermodel Naomi Campbell threw a wobbly at Heathrow Airport when one of her bags wasn't allowed on the plane. She reportedly spit at and hurled racist epithets (as opposed to her cell phone) at responding police officers and was arrested. But then she was released to terrorize the world once more!

George O'Dowd (Boy George to you and I) was recently convicted of assaulting and falsely imprisoning a Norweigian male prostitute in November of 2007. George apparently chained him to his apartment wall and beat him with some more chain. He's a big fan of Home Depot.

Mark Ruffalo's brother's Scott's shooting death this month was recently found to be a homicide. Two suspects have already been treated and released. The death was initially believed to be from a game of Russian roulette.

And lastly, the most tragic (besides the above) celebrity crime this year were the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year old nephew in October. The crimes, which were reportedly committed by Jennifer's brother-in-law, made national headlines in October.

The next time you hear Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?," try not to envision a stout, balding tattooed queen in mascara chaining a terrified "male model" to his bed and whipping him with a chain. Yeah, Boy George did that. He was found guilty in a London court of unlawful imprisonment this week.

George O'Dowd (Boy's real name) hired an escort to come over, and then chained his ass up for a beating and wouldn't let him go. Audun Carlsen, the hustler, escaped and now George is facing a prison sentence. No word on sentencing as of yet.

Even though Boy George comes bearing flowers, this symbol of his penance for past antics weren't enough to convince the United States to allow him into the country as part of his summer tour. The singer had planned on including on the American leg of his concert series a performance for New York's Department of Sanitation, with whom the 80s pop icon worked during community service served there.

Awaiting trial in London this November for his whole sex-slave-held-captive thing, the Culture Club singer released a statement through his rep, expressing his disappointment over this turn of events.

"George really would love to come to America and repay his American fans' loyalty, and that is why we are asking the U.S. authorities to reconsider their decision." Maybe he should try chaining them up in his house until they change their minds...oh wait.

I have a feeling I should be completely offended by Boy George's outfit, but I'm not exactly sure why. There's just something so strange about it that I just automatically assumed I should take offense. But I should probably just bite my tongue and thank my lucky stars that he doesn't decide to chain me up in his house. Oh wait, I don't have a penis. Whew, I'm safe.

Remember when we reported that Boy George was facing legal problems after Auden Carlsen claimed that he was held against his will at the Culture Club singer's home in England? Allegedly, the two met through the website, Gaydar, and they both agreed that Carlsen should come over to George's home, where they would take pictures.

Of course, it's all fun and games until Boy George decides to chain you to the wall. After that, Carlsen yanked the hook out of the wall and made his escape. And now, Boy George is in court, but he's claiming that he didn't do it and has pleaded not guilty.

But I don't know that he's helping his case by showing up to court in this ensemble. OK, that's not what he was wearing, but in my world, it would be.
