A special meet-and-greet was held today, which united Tony-Award-winning Broadway veteran, Angela Lansbury, and Chicago star, Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as the cast of Trevor Nunn's production of A Little Night Music.

The lovely ladies posed for press and chatted with press to promote the revival of the Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's play, based on the Ingmar Bergman movie, Smiles of a Summer Night.

An official opening kicks off December 13, with performances starting November 24. Meanwhile, I'm loving Catherine's look, the sleek black dress with the sexy red accents.

It was a splashy, over-the-top tribute paid to Michael Douglas to celebrate his illustrious career at the AFI Life Achievement Award On TV Land Prime. His father, Kirk Douglas, looked on as his son received his honors as a member of one of Tinseltown's most distinguished acting dynasties.

His wife, the stunning Catherine Zeta Jones, kicked up her heels with the cast of A Chorus Line at the black tie event, showing off her considerable talents on stage.

The crowd in attendance included some of Hollywood's finest. If you threw a rock in the audience, there was a strong likelihood you would hit an Oscar winner smack dab in the face. That sound like fun.

Watch out Oscar, Slumdog Millionaire is coming. The film won out over The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon and Milk. The PGA Award has also become a reliable bellwether for the best picture Oscar -- 12 of the winners over the past 19 years have gone on to win the Academy Award's top honor, including last year's recipient No Country for Old Men. Slumdog Millionaire also won trophies at the Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards.

Celebrities LOVE to go to out of the way place to film commercials in foreign markets. There is scratch to be made when a Jodie Foster or a Brad Pitt shills a watch or an energy drink. Which is probably why Zeta-Jones is in the Czech Republic doing the hair model thing. More power to her. Michael Douglas ain't gonna live forever, and a girl needs to have a back-up plan.

At the fourth annual "A Fine Romance" event, Catherine Zeta Jones and Hugh Jackman sang and danced to entertain guests who were attending the fundraiser for the Motion Picture & Television Fund.

This time around, Catherine Zeta was looking flawless, her bronzer mishap overshadowed by her perfect complexion, red lips and stunning black and gold adorned dress. Besides, that kind of out-of-control tanning could happen to anyone.

She and the always red-carpet perfect Hugh made such an aesthetically stunning couple, it's hard to imagine just how fetching they must have been high-kicking it up on stage.

Joining the ranks of fellow blondes Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani, Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere left Le Pain Quotidien after lunch with a friend while displaying some traffic-stopping lipstick on her lips.

The red-lipped youngun smiled at photographers as she made her way to her car dressed quite casually otherwise in a white tank and jeans.

Granted, she does have youth on her side, but at least she knows that a little make-up can go a long way...ahem.

The usually red-carpet flawless Catherine Zeta-Jones looked all kinds of bronze in the all the wrong places when she arrived at a UN gala event with hubby Michael Douglas on her arm.

It looks like someone forgot their eyebrows at home. That's why I need to get that shit tattooed on because mine are about as thin as hers when not properly drawn on. And when I forget to do so, it's really hard for others to tell when I'm judging them, which totally isn't fair.

And seriously, that bronzer looks nuts. Was she huffing gold paint in the limo on the way over?

Catherine Zeta Jones stepped out for the premiere of her latest film, "Death Defying Acts," starring Guy Pearce as Harry Houdini. The film is a thriller/romance about the infamous escape artist and sounds to me like it was probably written around the same time as "The Prestige" and "The Illusionist." Intrigue, romance, charlatans, escape plans and ultimately tragedy. Ta da!

Well, these pictures are of the film's premiere in Australia at the State Theatre in Sydney. And speaking of defying death, Guy Pearce looks gaunt in a way that is almost worrisome to me. He better not be taking over Christian Bale's part in a sequel to "The Machinist" because that apple a day diet is ridiculous. Catherine's looking well and her self-confidence is showing, with her appearing at the event wearing what looks like a black and white throw for the couch. But hey, she's selling it and I admire that.

She admitted that although she's been taking on more maternal roles, we shouldn't expect her to hang up her vixen hat any time soon. "In my next movie, which is an untitled movie at the moment, you'll be seeing a lot more of me, put it that way." Oh my, does that mean the couch throw is coming off?

Look at this condiment art direction. Contrast! Catherine Zeta-Jones left her old husband for the day to snip the red ribbon at the brandy new Elizabeth Arden retail store on Fifth Avenue. Zeta-Jones was also scheduled to have breakfast with beauty editors and discuss Arden's new lipstick line. What these people will do for a check.

Well, she's padding the nest. If hubby strokes out like his Dads, they might have to sell some of their holdings if he can't work anymore. So Catherine's just being wily. I credit her. I credit her with choosing the wrong shade of jacket as well. She looks like Ronald McDonald's successful older sister who left the family business to go into marketing.
