Chris Pine Shows Off His Acting Chops

Wanna see a play? Then may I suggest Farragut North, starring Captain Fine himself, Chris Pine. The cast also features Chris Noth (Sex & the City), Dan Bittner (Adventureland), Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire).

According to Geffen Playhouse, "Set against the backdrop of a close presidential race, Farragut North is a timely tale of hubris, loyalty and the lust for power." Captain Fine plays Stephen, a young press secretary who's convinced he and his campaign manager, played by Noth, can get their candidate into the White House fairly easily.

The play sounds like a fun West Wing-ish thing, and Chris Pine is in it. So everyone should go see it. And see Chris Pine. Because he's beautiful. And he can act. Which adds to his over hotness.

Carrie Bradshaw: A Mommy?

Sex and the City star Chris Noth hinted that in the sequel, Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw might have some kiddos.

When asked about the possibility, Noth told Us Weekly, "[Producers] are probably thinking about that, but I don't know." Hmm, such a noncommittal answer, Big. How unlike you.

I'm going to predict that if Carrie does have children in the next film that it's twins because she probably likes her progeny likes she likes her shoes...in pairs.

2009 GLAAD Media Awards: Tyra Banks Is Excellent In Media

Talk show host and reality television producer Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award, presented to her by American Idol star Clay Aiken. You know those two were probably inseparable, talking wigs all night long. But jokes aside, Tyra looked hot with her long, super-straight hair and tailored tuxedo. Very sexy talk show host, Ms. Banks.

T.R. Knight was also all dressed up to present the Vito Russo Award to my personal financial hero, Suze Orman. As he always does at these events, he looked tiny and well-dressed in his tux. Go Suze!

Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie, Judith Light and Ana Ortiz represented for the Ugly Betty cast while their co-star America Ferrera stepped out at the Kids' Choice Awards. For a bunch of people starring in a show with "ugly" in the title, they sure do look consistently pretty.

2009 Annual Costume Designers Gala: Undressed!

Actor Peter Facinelli made an important point at the 11th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards when he showed up on the red carpet for the soiree dressed in socks, shoes and underwear. Showing his appreciation for those who dress up actors in their on-screen finery, the Twilight star braved the cold in his skivvies.

Host for the evening's ceremonies, Debra Messing went the opposite route, stepping out in an art-deco-looking gown with intricate beading and a plunging neckline. Topped off with jewelry that echoed the pattern of sparkles on her dress, the star of The Starter Wife looked old-school Hollywood glam. Her costume change was into something more haute couture, a strapless frock with a dramatic piece of jewelry that resembled a garland of silver leaves. Her turn as a brightly-colored 50s housewife was just as fun.

Sex and the City's Kristen Davis kept it simple and sexy in a halter-top red dress that flared out in an A-line. Oh yes, and let's not forget the cougarest of all the cougars in the land. Sharon Stone was there in a light-purple, a shocking departure from her beloved animal print.

In case you were wondering, Slumdog Millionaire really cleaned up.

The Mens: 2009 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet

Jason Segel, rumored to be getting all-romantical with Drew Barrymore practically blended into the red carpet (which was actually black...kind of a macabre choice) with his suit that looked like it was various shades of black. He had a splash of color though, with that red beard of his.

Kevin Bacon looks weathered, but in a charming way, always cutting a slim figure in a black suit. So maybe he's dyeing his hair. He's allowed to. Whatever keeps it fresh and spicy for Kyra.

Brendan Fraser...well, I don't really have too much to say to him. The man has completely given up on starring in movies with remotely plausible storylines, which I guess makes him the exactly opposite of a reality TV whore. Also the man did wear purple to the 14th Annual Critics Choice Awards, and I salute that.

Chris Noth Takes Baby Orion To Hawaii

Chris Noth is taking a Hawaiian vacation with both his wife Tara Wilson and his new baby Orion Noth. The happy parents just arrived to Maui and took some time to play with their son. He is so cute! Look at that big smile!

All of these cute celebrity babies are causing me issues though. I'm fine right now living vicariously through these stick thin celeb mommies... but the kids are all so gosh darn cute I think I might start wanting one of my own here soon.

Did you hear that? Sounds like my mother rejoicing and my dad about to kick some potential sperm donor ass.
