Apparently, there were so many outstanding men who came to the attention of the staff at GQ magazine, that they decided to give out 5 separate Man of the Year awards, spread out over the same number of cover issues.

President Barack Obama nabbed himself the Leader of the Year distinction, while a grizzled Clint Eastwood peers menacingly into the camera daring GQ to give him the Badass of the Year award and get the hell off his lawn!

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis--known more commonly as "The Hangover Guys"--share the prize of Funnymen of the Year while baby-faced Chris Pine earned himself Breakout of the Year. Tom Brady snatched up the Comeback of the Year Award and since I don't really follow sports, I'll have to take their word for it.

Star Trek star, Chris Pine, is gearing up for negotiations with Paramount Pictures to portray CIA analyst character from the Tom Clancy novel series, Jack Ryan.

It sounds like more action-packed fare for the young actor, who took a break from film to star in the theater production of Farragut North over the summer.

In a statement confirming the news, Paramount Pictures tells Variety, "Tom Clancy created an unforgettable character with Jack Ryan. With Chris in this role, we've taken our first step in creating a re-boot that lives up to the successful lineage of the franchise."

Chris will be following in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck, all of whom have portrayed the Jack Ryan character in films past. Those are some sexy shoes to fill, but I think Chris is up to the task.

Chris Pine was in his typical anti-paparazzi mood when he arrived at LAX airport in Los Angeles. He didn't stop to say hello to people that recognized him and pulled his hoodie over his head in order to remain more conspicuous.

He was greeted by a limo driver and rushed to get his luggage, including his guitar (presumably so he can serenade me with a love song), before disappearing into the car park.

Chris Pine is currently shooting the thriller Unstoppable with Denzel Washington, which you can catch in theaters November 12, 2010.

Chris Pine is like the greatest walker in the world! Yesterday the super sexy star popped out of his Silverlake house to grab coffee at his favorite coffee joint. I love his running action shots as he leaves the coffee place.

He wore his usual outfit of black pants, a white v-neck and black Ray-Bans, but he decided to mix things up with a visor. I really wish he would mix this ups with a visor. No one should wear visors unless they're playing tennis. Chris!

It's been awhile since we've seen Captain Fine walking. It's been awhile since we've seen him do much. Although, he did show up to a luncheon yesterday. Dear Chris, please do more walking, talking, eating, being... really you can do anything. Just let's have more pictures of you so that I can enjoy them.

Seriously, he's so beautiful. I met him outside the play he was in and he is even more beautiful in person. Oh yah, it's totally possible. I love Chris Pine. OK, I definitely need to stop now. Drooling over!

Celebrities know whose butt they need to kiss in order to make it in Hollywood, and one of the biggest butts is The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. They're the ones who hand out the Golden Globes every year. So when they say they want you to show up at their luncheon so they can hand out financial grants, you do. And boy, the celebs did.

The association handed out about $1,249,000 in grants today to 29 film school and other non-profit organizations. It's up from last year's about, as there was less money after the Golden Globes got nicked with the writer's strike.

But don't worry, the Globes are back again on January 17, and they will be fabulous. I mean, if Chris Pine shows up to the luncheon, you know he's going to show up to the actual show. Oh Chris. I love you. Sorry, got distracted. Make sure to check out all of the celebrities who showed up to luncheon. They're all so pretty. Pretty celebs are the best, don't you think?

Wanna see a play? Then may I suggest Farragut North, starring Captain Fine himself, Chris Pine. The cast also features Chris Noth (Sex & the City), Dan Bittner (Adventureland), Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire).

According to Geffen Playhouse, "Set against the backdrop of a close presidential race, Farragut North is a timely tale of hubris, loyalty and the lust for power." Captain Fine plays Stephen, a young press secretary who's convinced he and his campaign manager, played by Noth, can get their candidate into the White House fairly easily.

The play sounds like a fun West Wing-ish thing, and Chris Pine is in it. So everyone should go see it. And see Chris Pine. Because he's beautiful. And he can act. Which adds to his over hotness.

Star Trek cutie Chris Pine is hoping to extend his career beyond simply being another pretty face. One of the steps he's taking to branch out is stepping out onto the stage with the Los Angeles theater production of Farragut North.

Pine told the L.A. Times, "There's a battle between commerce and art that I'm learning that doesn't necessarily have to prevent you from pursuing more artistic ventures, as long as you utilize your commerce, knowing you're using it to get more opportunities to do the smaller pet projects."

Citing George Clooney, Paul Newman and Daniel Day-Lewis as professional influences, Pine confesses who his favorite male actors are. "Sean Penn and Gary Oldman, I've had an acting crush on for years." Sadly, it looks like his Farragut North costar Chris Noth didn't make the cut. Burn!
