Adam Lambert Makes Clay Aiken's Ears Bleed




Clearing up any rumors that he was hoping to collaborate with Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken posted a blog entry on his official website that explained just how much the red-headed Spamalot star would absolutely never do such a thing.

"This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing 'Ring of Fire' and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening! I wasn't really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him," Clay writes.

The American Idol alum goes on a rant about what a horrible singer Lambert is and claims that a win by Kris Allen means voters are thinking, "Enough with the pretention. More Rubens, more Clays, more Fantasias and Tamyras and Kellys please."

Yowzah. And I thought we were bitchy. We should get him to write for the site.

'American Idol' Wants Clay Aiken Away From Adam Lambert




Clay Aiken headed over to American Idol to try and connect with contestant Adam Lambert, but it was clear that the former runner-up was less-than-welcome backstage.

The rift between Idol and Aiken stems from his dumping of 19 Entertainment, the management company that takes care of all activities related to record deals, tours, etc.

"To say the least, it was tense around here when Clay showed up--and boy, did they hustle him off the premises as fast as possible," a staffer revealed. In addition, Aiken is credited with encouraging Kelly Clarkson to ditch 19 Management as well.

Well, at least Clay wasn't hurling his body at Adam, which isn't entirely unheard of these days.

2009 GLAAD Media Awards: Tyra Banks Is Excellent In Media




Talk show host and reality television producer Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award, presented to her by American Idol star Clay Aiken. You know those two were probably inseparable, talking wigs all night long. But jokes aside, Tyra looked hot with her long, super-straight hair and tailored tuxedo. Very sexy talk show host, Ms. Banks.

T.R. Knight was also all dressed up to present the Vito Russo Award to my personal financial hero, Suze Orman. As he always does at these events, he looked tiny and well-dressed in his tux. Go Suze!

Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie, Judith Light and Ana Ortiz represented for the Ugly Betty cast while their co-star America Ferrera stepped out at the Kids' Choice Awards. For a bunch of people starring in a show with "ugly" in the title, they sure do look consistently pretty.

Socialite Life's Births Of 2008




Celebrities certainly went forth and multiplied this year. Is it just us, or did it seem like everybody was coming down with a case of twins? So we'd like to take this post to remember some of the high-profile celebrity babies born this year. 

-Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt deliver their twins Knox and Vivienne.

-Ashlee Simspon and Pete Wentz are now the parents of little Bronx Mowgli. Seriously.

-Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale gave Kingston a new little brother Zuma.

-Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen brought Olive into the world.

-Harlow Madden is Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's little girl.

-Parker Foster Aiken is the result of a collaboration between Clay Aiken and his best friend Jaymes Foster Levy.

-Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony welcome twins Max and Emme!

-Before dropping her newest album, Christina Aguilera dropped little baby Max, her son with hubby Jordan Bratman.

-Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's second child together is little Stella McDermott.

-Jamie Lynn Spears became an unwed teenage mother when her baby Maddie Aldridge was born.

-Having baby Honor Warren with now husband Cash Warren finally put a smile on Jessica Alba's sourpuss.

-Halle Berry and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry now have a child together, Nahla Ariela Aubry.

-Nicole Kidman's little bundle of joy with Keith Urban is none other than Sunday Rose.

-Matthew McConaughey's future shirtless son with girlfriend Camila Alves is little Levi.

-Minnie Driver became a new mom this year.

-Ensuring that she will always be enjoying the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed, Salma Hayek's million dollar baby is little Valentina Pinault.

-Wrapping up our list, Cate Blanchett birthed another little one.

Clay Aiken Is A Caricature



Here's Christmas elf and gay dad Clay Aiken introducing his caricature which will adorn the wall at NYC's world-famous Sardi's restaurant. He was awarded the drawing for his Broadway debut in Spam-A-Lot. Now, I don't know about you - but that ain't Clay Aiken. That's bad manga drawn by one of those people at the Naruto convention who wants to eff Japanese ninja cartoons in real time. Clay's caricature should seriously convey that fairydust emits from his buttocks and really capture the rosy, gay Precious Moments figurine quality that he posesses. But we'll give him this - jewel tones and a gray sweater. Work it like a job, queen!

Did Reed give that ensem' snaps?

Btw, Clay's hiding all the pain inside because obviously some jealous queen in the Spam-A-Lot make-up room went Scream on his eyebrows. Holy shite. Those don't grow back, right?

News Bites: Clay Aiken's Boyfriend Is Reed Kelly




-No longer will Clay Aiken be a single dad. The American Idol runner-up is off the market, according to Star magazine. Broadway dancer Reed Kelly is the one running his hands through Clay's wavy red locks. The two met early this year during Aiken's run in Spamalot. The two even stepped out together at Rosie O'Donnell's Building Dreams for Kids gala looking very much like a couple. Who's

-New York Daily News gossip staple that is Rush & Molloy's column is moving to the Sunday edition of the paper. Replacing its spot will be the formerly retired Gatecrasher column to be revived by Laura Schreffler and Sean Evans. Married couple George Rush and Joanna Molloy will have to limit themselves to weekend gossipin'--the lucky bastards.

-Recently-divorced Bill Murray sightings at New York hot spots and parties have become more and more common among 20-something hipsters in the area. The Lost in Translation star hit up a house party in NYC on Halloween and has been seen in and around the city at trendy venues. Move over Gossip boys, there's a new party boy in town.

Clay Aiken's A Doting Dad




Clay Aiken, looking disturbingly like some sort of redheaded starlet from the 50s in his Spam-A-Lot wig, made an appearance on the disaster we now refer to as Rosie Live on Thanksgiving Eve. That was Rosie ODonnell's attempt to bring back the variety show, and by all accounts (including her own), it sank like Mary Jo Kopechne.

As for Clay, he recently let everyone know that he is a complete hands-on dad with his son Parker, 3 1/2 months. Aiken, who finally came out in Sept. to no one's shock and awe, had his son with longtime friend Jaymes Foster.

"It was probably a week before [the baby's mother] had to change a diaper at all!" he said. "I'm trying my best to be the one who doesn't always let him get what he wants, but he own us."

And get this, Aiken was actually fearful that he'd be "booed off the stage" when he made his return to Broadway after coming out as a gay dad. Don't you get booed off the stage on Broadway if you're NOT gay?

Tom Cruise Makes Funny At Matt Lauer's Expense




Tom Cruise takes another stab at repairing his tarnished image. This time he used Matt Lauer's Friar's Roast as his platform.

The New York Post reports, "Believe it or not, Matt and I are friends," Cruise said as a mock slideshow appeared of the two of them on vacation together. "In fact, when the 'Today' show has 'Where in the World Is Matt Lauer' , I'm the one person in the world who knows where he is," Cruise cracked. Joking that Lauer actually gives "great advice," Cruise said it was the newsman who suggested he talk to Oprah about Katie Holmes. He said Lauer insisted: "Hey, hey, Top Gun. You know when people go on my show, you think I want to hear about their dopey movies? Tom. Tom. Tom. Don't be glib . . . You know, go crazy, man. Trust me, people will love you for it."

The funny didn't stop there. Cruise went on ridiculing Lauer, "I have this hectic life jumping from international movie sets to amazing parties to amazing parties to international movie sets . . . You found happiness doing the same thing every day, never wondering how your life would change." He finished with: "Now lose my number, you glib putz. Cruise out."

Not to be outdone, Lauer came back: "Tom, can you stay? You sure? We can get a booster seat."

And maybe a pair of lifts.
