Rumors of a steamy on-screen kiss between The Runaways co-stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have been confirmed by Fanning to Access Hollywood. While walking the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Dakota confessed, "Yes, it happens in The Runaways." Watch the video of Dakota's interview after the jump.

When asked whether or not the lip lock is "passionate," Fanning responded, "Yeah. We're playing Joan Jett and Cherie Curie and they're best friends in the film and became really close in real life."

As for real-life rocker, Joan Jett, she couldn't be more pleased with Kristen's portrayal of her teenage self in the film. Joan admitted, "I was very pleasantly surprised because when I spoke to her about whether she was going to cut her hair or not, she was like, 'Of course I'm gonna cut my hair!' And that really helps to make the difference and really embody the look."

Jett adds, "The cast did an incredible job, Kirsten was an amazing, amazing actor." Speaking of amazing, we just can't get enough of Kristen's gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown that she wore for the event. And Dakota's no slouch herself, in her slinky black dress.

It seems like the premiere of New Moon was just yesterday, well like two days ago, and we've been left with a little sadness in our hearts withRobert Pattinson losing out to Johnny Depp for People's Sexiest Man Alive. Not that Johnny Depp isn't sexy, but come on.

Kristen Stewart hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon looking classically glamorous in her long, gown. However, the tomboy inside her soon won out and for the after party for the event, Stewart made sure to change into a decidedly more casual outfit. Luckily for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, their matching suits and skinny ties proved to be comfortable enough to keep on for the entire evening.

And although the whole gang had traveled around the world promoting New Moon for fans, but of course, nothing compares to Hollywood. Pattinson tells the Associated Press, "It is about 10 times bigger than any other city in the world." In fact, things got so crazy that Twilight star, Kellan Lutz, even found himself having trouble getting inside the after party for his own movie.

This time around, Kristen felt more prepared for the throng of screaming fans, explaining, "I'm not as scared as I was last year." Before you know it, she'll be an old pro.

An electrifying smile is the most obvious accessory Nikki Reed is sporting on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The actress showed off her legs in a pale, blue, silk dress.

Going for a more dramatic look, Anna Kendrick, stepped out in a black, super sparkly dress with one sleeve that appears to be constructed out of a complicated mosaic of tiles. Very festive. Loving her shoes.

Statuesque Noot Seear towered over her New Moon co-star, Elizabeth Reaser. While Noot opted for a busy look, in a patterened mini-dress, Elizabeth's choice of a cream-colored, body-hugging dress provided a contrast to the model's choice of outfit.

Chaske Spencer cut a serious figure, in his all-black suit and BooBoo Stewart followed suit, save for a white necktie.  I can't tell if it's the lighting or what, but both Michael Welch and Justin Chon look like they were a teensy bit heavy handed with their man make-up for the event. But their suits definitely looked nice.

Justine Wachsberger selected a bright green, strapless, short dress for the event, as did Julia Jones, who showed off her shoulders in a white and bright pink dress. Very youthful look for both of them.

15-year-old Dakota Fanning has certainly been a busy woman this past summer, breaking out of her child actress shell. The cheerleading member of her high school's homecoming court is prepping for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, as well as next year's The Runaways.

In both films, Fanning stars with Kristen Stewart, with whom she became fast friends. Of their newfound friendship, Dakota tells Teen Vogue, "We became really close, like we'd known each other for our whole lives. We talk all the time."

In fact, the twosome developed such a close bond pretending to be real-life band mates, Cherie Currie and Joan Jett. Fanning admits, "The relationship that Joan and Cherie have in the script is kind of the one that Kristen and I have in real life, minus the destructive part."

However, this made things difficult when Dakota's Jane had to interact with Bella Swan in New Moon. Fanning explains, "I've never been such an evil character, and because I do know Kristen so well, being mean to her was really weird. It's like, Sorry, dude!"

Don't front, you loved it!

Yes, that is Dakota Fanning! Who knew she was so flexible and athletic?

Dakota was named Homecoming Princess at her school. Dakota, 15, and her fellow Vikings stepped up school spirit during a football game for their high school football team, The Campbell Hall Episcopal in North Hollywood. Taking a break from her life as an actress, Dakota looked like any other teenager performing with her cheerleading squad.

It's nice to see Dakota acting like a teenager for a change.

Five new photos of New Moon's Volturi clan of vampires have been released. Dakota Fanning as Jane, angel-like face and she has the ability to torture people with illusions of pain. Cameron Bright as Alec, Jane's twin brother Michael Sheen as Aro, leader of the Volturi. Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, the most sadistic of the Volturi. Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, the most detached of the Volturi.

Also, People has released new stills from the film as well. Director Chris Weitz tells People, "They're all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts. They're opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can't really see into them. There's something terribly off-putting about it."

"Stephenie [Meyer] was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires," says Weitz. "They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age."

Perhaps most lethal of all the Volturi is Jane (Dakota Fanning), an angelic-looking vampire who inflicts physical torture on her victims. "She is very strange and very spooky in this movie," says Weitz. "I think [Dakota] wanted to play an evil character for once."

I'm actually very excited to see Dakota Fanning play evil. Almost as much as I'm excited as seeing Robert Pattinson shirtless.

This Batman-style T-shirt Robert Pattinson is sporting for the cover of Premiere magazine suits him quite well, I have to say. In keeping with Rob's reluctant heartthrob image is this tough-guy leather jacket and his tousled hair.

The Twilight star chatted with the French version of the magazine, revealing that these days, the only place he can get away from the paparazzi and wild fans is on a movie set.

In addition, here's a sneak peek at scenes from New Moon from People magazine. Director Chris Weitz confessed to the magazine that Dakota Fanning was happy to have a role she could sink her teeth into.

"I think she wanted to play an evil character for once. She's always playing avery nice girl, and she is a very nice girl. There's no question that she is very strange and spooky in this movie," Weitz explains. To be honest, I've always found her strange and spooky--I think that's part of her charm.
