For those people who believed that David Beckham was holding onto his facial hair for superstitious reasons, or to make some kind of fashion statement, the soccer star is clearing up any confusion.

Becks explains, "Halloween is coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from X-Men. It's not some play-off ritual. I'm just lazy and can't be bothered to shave. And everybody keeps telling me to cut it and I'm stubborn."

That's pretty cool. Just good luck with making a better Wolverine than little Cruz Beckham, which totally isn't possible.

It was a 99-92 win for the LA Lakers over the Los Angeles Clippers. Khloe Karshashian was there to cheer on her husband Lamar Odom who was concentrating on the season. "We feel like we can play for the record of most wins in a season and win another championship," Odom said.

Other celebrities attending were David Beckham, Heather Locklear, Jack Wagner, Nick Hilton, Charlize Theron, Stuart Townsend, Blake Griffin, Kim Kardashian, Sacha Baron Cohen, Adam Levine and of course Jack Nicholson.

It was a star-studded night at the U2 concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena last night. Along with Kellan Lutz, Demi Moore, David Beckham, Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Chris Kattan, Christian Audigier, Colin Farrell, Erick McCormack, Ewan McGregor, Morgan Spurlock, Paris Hilton, Doug Reinhardt, Pierce Brosnan and William Fichtner also attended.

Soccer stud David Beckham had wife Victoria Beckham and teammates worried when he strained his groin this past Saturday.

Becks strained his groin during his team's 2-0 victory against San Jose, and the win clinched the Western Conference title for the Galaxy, who now enter the Major League play-offs for the first time in seven years.

He just has to give his groin a rest (sorry Posh), and he'll be as good as new in no time.

While we certainly don't condone the bad case of facial hair from which David Beckham appears to be suffering, the rest of the package appears to be in order.

For his journey from London's Heathrow airport to Los Angeles, Beckham kept his newsboy cap pulled down low and his trusty Louis Vuitton travel bag.

There's been talk that the soccer star will likely be headed to this year's World Cup in South Africa after a stint with AC Milan. Maybe he's waiting for that special occasion to shave.

I know that David Beckham likes to change up his style, but I have endured the beard (launch the gallery to check out David's bushy beard) for as long as I can. I prefer David with stubble, not full on growth. It's just not an attractive look for the man. No wonder Armani dumped you.

David and his beard are seen here after England beat Belarus at Wembley. The Man Of The Match went clubbing at London's hottest club Bungalow 8. He left the club at 3:15 am and drove out through the back garage. David had been in for a few hours which is unusual, as he does not usually go clubbing after matches. Especially when he had to catch a flight the next day. Is trouble brewing the Beckham camp?

While David Beckham might not be playing for England in the World Cup in South Africa, captain of the English squad, John Terry, claims that the soccer superstar will still participate in some way.

When Terry was quizzed about whether or not he thought Beckham should journey to South Africa for the big event, he responded, "He plays a massive part in the squad. He has always made me feel welcome and still does that with everyone now."

He adds, "Whether [David] has started the game or come on as a substitute he has done fantastically well. He trains extremely hard and is a great example for everyone in the squad. He also passes on advice at half-time and plays a key role."

At the launch of David Beckham's Adidas Beckham by J Bond Collection, the professional athlete decked himself out in the kind of gear one would expect at the launch of an athletic gear line.

However, Victoria Beckham reminded paparazzi that she is not and has never been known as Sporty Spice, showing up in a pair of pink stilettos and a slinky black sheath dress.

New mom, Ellen Pompeo stepped out with her hubby, wearing a little black dress. She and hubby, Chris Ivery, were beaming as they made their way into the event. Singer Ciara showed off a tremendous physique in a cut-out dress and high heels.
