Selena Gomez was sparkly and short in her silver toga dress and gladiator sandals. Cute. Her buddy, Demi Lovato, also stepped out in a short, flirty dress looking simple and elegant at the 2009 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater Los Angeles Live. Good job, ladies!

Toni Braxton kept it simple yet sexy in a simple black dress that showed off plenty of leg and gave a sneak peek of torso. Star of V, Morena Baccarin, also looked super-sexy in her patent-leather black heels and curve-hugging dress with a plunging neckline and all of it with a sweet pixie haircut and mysterious smile.

That is a whole lot of furry-looking turquoise Phoebe Price is wearing to the American Music Awards and I'm just wondering how many ostriches had to die for that coat of hers. I'm also not a fan of the black ankle boots Melody Thornton chose to pair with her clingy white dress.

However Taylor Swift was not there, but she's apparently incredibly popular. She beat out Michael Jackson to win Entertainer of the Year and took home a total of five American Music Awards.

The highlight of the night for me was Whitney Houston's performance of "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." While the rasp was present throughout the performance, the girl knows how to command a stage. She belted out the performance until she was almost out of breath. It was a powerful moment.



Michel Jackson ended up with four awards. Other multiple winners included hip-hop acts Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas, with two each.

The Black Eyed Peas were named favorite group in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Jay-Z won favorite male artist and favorite album in the rap/hip-hop categories.

Punk rock trio Green Day was named favorite alternative artist. Rascal Flatts won favorite country group for the fourth year in a row.

Young, toothy Disney stars Miley Cyrus, Jesse McCartney and Demi Lovato were in full force at Disney's 2nd annual Concert for Hope Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.



Last year, the inaugural Concert for Hope raised over $1.2 million a little over a year ago to help the City of Hope in its cancer research efforts and this weekend's show was completely sold out.

Both Miley and Demi opted for dark, clingy outfits on the red carpet for the event, with Miley donning a simple, black dress and black lace nylons and boots. Demi looked a bit more shiny, with her oversized gold top and matching gladiator sandals.

Although purely speculation.  What we do know is that Joe Jonas spent the night at Demi Lovato's house in Toluca Lake and then left the next day at around 2 p.m., picked up by a limo no less.  If only your walk of shame was so glamorous!

Shortly after Joe left, Demi did as well, driving to the Center Staging studio in Burbank with her dad (who is a sexy beast, am I right?).

So Demi and Joe had a sleep over while her dad was home?  Disney scandal!  Yea, I know, what's new, right?

Well, if Camilla Belle and Trace Cyrus have no objections, who am I to judge?

Reasons I love Twitter #1: Reading celebs @replies to each other.

In this case it's the @replies between Demi Lovato and Trace Cyrus. Early, early this morning, Demi sent Trace, "@tracecyrus soon! :D I'm so excited!!!! <3"

Trace then replied to Demi with, "@ddlovato you don't realize how excited I am! My tour manger is bookin my flight now! Your all I've thought about ever since I left town. <3"

Ever since Trace has gone off on his European tour with his band Metro Station, he and Demi have been tweeting each other sappy love notes, most of which have ended in "<3". I guess it's appropriate that Trace and Demi are maybe together, since Demi and Miley Cyrus, Trace's sister, seem to be bffls.

You know, I don't quite know how I feel about this one though. Personally I think Trace is kind of foul looking, and Demi was pretty until she moved her bangs off of her forehead. On second thought, never mind, they're perfect together! Good luck guys!

Posing for a Women's Wear Daily photoshoot, Disney channel star Demi Lovato is already working towards presenting a more mature image to the public by donning some stylish fashion choices.

However, it's clear that she's not yet ready to divert too far away from her squeaky-clean appearance, making sure that her young fans will appreciate her flirty style without feeling alienated. Lovato explains how she makes her fashion choices.

"Sometimes, when I want to wear a really hot skirt or something, I think, 'Would you want your little sister to wear that skirt in two years? No.'" Exactly. Why should Little Sis get to have all the attention?

Who doesn't want to make a movie with her best friend? Luckily for Disney Channel Stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, they got to do just that.

In the latest Disney Channel original movie Princess Protection Program, Selena and Demi played two girls who initially did not get a long too well. "Sometimes our director would have to say, 'Okay, girls, remember you don't like each other,'" Selena said. "So that was a bit of a challenge." But it's OK, cause it was all pretend hating each other. Plus, they become bffls in the end, so it's all good.

Selena also said, "What I really like about it is the friendship element. A lot of little girls look up to Demi and I's friendship because I've known her since I was seven, and we've gone through so much together and that's what I really appreciate, is that there are such thing as having girls as your best friend for a really long time. Of course it's not easy but you go through all those things and that was really nice having that message come across."

I wanna make a movie with my best friend! It'll be super fun and we can paint each other's nails for an hour, then have a fight, and then make up in the last 5 minutes! Yay!

Hoping to experience more box office success than her Disney brethren, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus has kicked off the world premiere of her film Hannah Montana: The Movie in Hollywood.

On the red carpet, Miley got some help from her tween friends (and frenemies) Taylor Swift, Demi Levato and her father and co-star Billy Ray Cyrus.

Well, if her recent book sales are any indication, Miley's movie ticket sales will be through the roof. And you don't even have to read to enjoy it. In fact, you don't even have to understand what the deal is with the blond wig to be curious about what all the fuss is about. I watched the trailer and already, I'm intrigued.
