Kate Gosslin Interviewed By Larry King, To Guest Host 'The View'

Share

Relishing every minute she has of the spotlight, reality TV star, Kate Gosselin, continues to ensure that her divorce from husband, Jon Gosselin, be as public as possible.

The mother of eight reveals to Larry King in a lengthy interview that although she is "lonely," denies that she has any time to date. This, despite rumors that Kate is getting cozy with her bodyguard, Steve Neild, who is seen here escorting her to CNN in Hollywood for her interview.

Kate claims that although her children are not currently receiving counseling, she is open to the idea and thinks they're handling the divorce well.

When it came to talking about John, Kate says that although she doesn't agree with "his decisions right now," she does believe he is ultimately a good father. While he has expressed a desire to end his participation on their TLC reality series, Jon & Kate Plus Eight, Kate remains happy to stay on TV.

Kate tells Larry, "Personally, for myself and the kids, this has been a good experience. It continues to be a good experience." And her career in front of the camera continues to expand with an upcoming guest-hosting stint on The View, to sub for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is out on maternity leave.

It's Party Time For 'Time' Magazine's 100 Most Influential People

Share

As if it's not enough for these folks to be given kudos in a splashy Time magazine cover and article that explains exactly why they're the 100 most influential people in the world, they all get to enjoy a big party celebrating that fact. But that's OK, because I guess they've earned it. Or at least I know my girl Suze Orman has.

Among those listed, new talk show host Jimmy Fallon was all smiles in his trim tuxedo, Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg represented for The View. They even let Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck show up to play with the big girls.

And Claire Danes was psyched to be there. But not enough to give us a second peek at her nipple. Too bad.

At a party for the world's most easily influenced people: Ali Lohan. Kidding! But for reaslies. She's mighty impressionable.

Gallery Info: Jimmy Fallon, Stella McCartney, Sanjay Gupta, Claire Danes, Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Barbara Walters, David Lauren, Lauren Bush, Leslie Mann, Arianna Huffington, Sherri Shepherd, Suze Orman, Galye King, Hugh Dancy, John Legend, Ann Coulter, Patrica Clarkson, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Van Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Favreau, Judd Apatow, MIA and Diane Sawyer at the Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World party.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gets Sympathy Invite To White House Christmas Party

Share

The people in charge of the White House Christmas party thought they'd treat themselves this year and "forget" to invite Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Why not have Christmas come early, they thought. Let's just not mail her an invite and see what happens. We've got nothing to lose!

Unfortunately, Elisabeth took to the View stage--the relentless soapbox of her shrill musings--saying she had a "bone to pick" with the White House for not inviting her to their annual Christmas Party. Afterall, she's been the Bush-Cheney-McCain-Palin mascot all throughout her time there and deserves some oval office approved hors devours.

Some higher-up, Karl T. Nisson in the publicity office, caught wind of it, scolded the card-mailing girls and extended a personal invitation to Elisabeth and her husband Tim. He said it was "simply an oversight."

Sympathy invite it is. The chatter at the White House Christmas party just got a lot more high-pitched.

Sherri Shepherd Lets Us Know How It Feels

Share

Granted, Sherri Shepherd is the View host that purportedly thought that the Earth was flat and you could drive right off the edge. Yeah, but we'd like to forgive her for that today. Mainly because she explained today, as a woman of color, how she feels about Barack Obama winning the presidential election and how it affected her young son. Please have your Kleenex ready and afford Sherri a pass for any dumb thing she says for at least the next six months after watching this clip.

As and as for the Sarah Palin-campaigning Elisabeth Hasselbeck - she sort of/kind of conceded. While wearing black, of course, because she's at a funeral in her mind.

"I will get in a long line of supporters ... for this president," she said.

Elisabeth Hasslebeck Receiving Death Threats?

Share

Sure she's irritating, but that doesn't mean she should die. Right? Anyone? The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck reportedly receives more death threats that anyone else on The View, according to co-host Whoopi Goldberg. That must mean they're backing the mail truck up and just opening the rear door so they just cascade in a tsunami of mail into her dressing room.

"Politically we could not be more opposite, but I respect her tremendously. Truth is, we could not have a dialogue without Elisabeth. It's not that we have to agree, the important thing is that we have the conversation," Whoopi said at a panel discussion on Monday night.

Truth. Heady political discourse (*eye roll*) is always good. And that show probably wouldn't have the ratings it does if Eiisabeth didn't chime in every so often with something designed to make liberal people clench their teeth and send her another death threat.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Proves Herself To Be More Annoying Than Sarah Palin

Share

Possible future burn victim Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View got the crowd all riled up for Sarah Palin at a rally in Florida over the weekend. Here's the video. For real, she's terribly annoying. "The view from up here is looking pretty good now, Florida!" Oh, you whiny Gidget-Face, shut up!

Can Sarah Palin shoot HER from a helicopter on the Alaskan tundra. Nevermind, Joy Behar has that gig on lockdown.

Elisabeth Hasslebeck And Joy Behar Throw Down

Share

There's word that a lot went down backstage at wacky molestation revelation forum The View yesterday. Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck reportedly did a lot of hissing at each other. Actually, it sounds like Behar went off and Hasselbeck took it because Behar is a strong bitch and I can see her punching someone.Supposedly it all started over pony lover Elisabeth wearing a John McCain t-shirt on the air, and that inspired some fracas on yesterday's show.

Anyway, Hasselbeck later supposedly gave Joy some lip about promoting her stand-up comedy act on the show. This didn't sit well with Behar. Backstage, she reportedly told her "I will burn you down" (pyromania threats!) and to "shut the f*ck up" and stormed off. Lizzie supposedly stood there in shock and not one heifer came up to comfort her. Babwa was probably reading wistfully reading the AARP magazine in her dressing room and rolling her eyes upon hearing all the commotion.

Let's face it, someone's needed to tell that donkey to can it for awhile. Behar deserves some sort of recognition like a plaque and a Chile's gift certificate.

Sherri Shepherd Goes Off On Elizabeth Hasselbeck

Moments like these make me cherish The View. Sherri Shepherd gives Elizabeth Hasselbeck a piece of her mind. Enjoy!

News Bites: Jessica Simpson Mobbed By Paps

Share

-Jessica Simpson caused quite a riot when she and lookalike buddy Cacee Cobb left Madeo. The throng of photographers created quite an obstacle for Jess, who just wanted to go about her business. But through it all, she still managed to smile and pose for a picture with a fan. We're hoping he didn't think it was Carrie Underwood.

-Rosie O'Donnell is coming to NBC with an hour-long special to air on the night before Thanksgiving. Entitled Rosie's Variety Show, it will feature "old-time variety" according to O'Donnell. A monologue, skits, musical acts and celebrity guests will be featured. Expect burning effigies of Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Donald Trump in the comedic bits.

-It sounds like Australians are over Beverly Hills already. 90210 has been canceled down under after just four episodes due to poor ratings. Maybe if the girls on the show would start eating more Bloomin' Onions, more people would be compelled to watch.

News Bites: Britney's Lawyers Prepare Legal Getaway

Share

-Britney Spears and her legal team are doing their best to get the pop star cleared of her charges related to a hit-and-run incident. Claiming that the "Oops" singer isn't yet ready to stand trial, Michael Flanagan requested a stay in the proceedings. "[Spears] is currently unable to participate meaningfully in this matter," he writes, citing her current conservatorship.

-Elisabeth Hasselbeck is frustrated with the political leanings of her co-stars on the View during this presidential election. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the bubbly blonde is upset. However, the source revealed, "It's not as bad as during the Rosie [O'Donnell] era." Bad...don't you mean glorious?

-Jessica Szohr of Gossip Girl is making like a real-life Manhattan socialite, caught mixing and mingling with Roberta Armani, Zani Gugelman and model Eugenia Silva at Bagatelle, says Page Six. The $3,000 tab racked up by the table was picked up by the mystery man who flirted with the CW star all night.
