77-year-old actress, Elizabeth Taylor, has told her fans through her Twitter page that she will be checking into the hospital for heart surgery.

She writes, "Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart."

The Hollywood legend adds, "It's very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better. Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I'll let you know when it's all over. Love you, Elizabeth."

Longtime AIDS research supporter, Elizabeth Taylor took to the catwalk at the 27th Annual Macy's Passport party. Despite suffering from a cold, the 77-year-old Hollywood legend managed to make an appearance grand enough to warrant a standing ovation.

Taylor told the crowd, "As my beloved friend Michael [Jackson] said, 'We are the world.' And it is up to us to take care of those who are sick and dying, in this country and particularly in Africa."

In the audience was Michael's sister, LaToya Jackson, who was dressed in a shockingly appropriate black, skin-tight dress. I almost didn't recognize her without the visible cleavage.

Late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has finally been buried and more photos and details from the burial ceremony have now emerged. A series of Rolls Royce Phantoms comprised the motorcade that traveled to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, where Jackson was laid to rest.

In attendance at the event were celebrity friends of the late musician, Elizabeth Taylor, Quincy Jones, Gladys Knight, Macaulay Culkin and girlfriend Mila Kunis, Jackson's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, Barry Bonds, Al Sharpton, Chris Tucker, Corey Feldman and Kenny Ortega.

Additionally, Jackson's three children were naturally present, Prince, Paris and Blanket along with the pop star's many siblings. His five brothers served as pallbearers, each bearing his signature white sequined glove and black armband.

After more than 10 weeks outside of a grave, pop superstar Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest yesterday, September 3 at Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Those in attendance at Jackson's burial included longtime friend Elizabeth Taylor, Rev. Al Sharpton, Jackson's lawyer Thomas A. Mesereau, Chris Tucker, Londell McMillan, Miko Brando and the Jackson family. Michael's children Blanket and Prince Michael were seen riding in the car into Forest Lawn and both looked quite at ease.

LA Times reports that Glendale police officers had blocked off all the streets within 300-acres of the cemetery and any fans that had shown up to the burial were kept behind barricades away from the cemetery. Michael is going to be interred in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn in Holly Terrace, one of the 11 halls. Other stars that Michael will be sharing a crypt with include Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Carole Lombard.

Michael's estate will be paying for the service including paying at least $120,000 to the Glendale Police Department. However most of the expenses will be paid to Forest Lawn. We'll have to wait a little longer to find out the results of the homicide case, but at least we now know that we shouldn't play with propofol.

Leave it to the 77-year-old Elizabeth Taylor to explain why she's not going to Michael Jackson's public memorial on her Twitter account. She was asked to participate, but she's refusing to attend.

"I've been asked to speak at the Staples Center," she wrote Monday. "I cannot be part of the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word."

"I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us," she posted. "Not a public event."

A moment later, she added: "I said I wouldn't go to the Staples Center, and I certainly don't want to become a part of it. I love him too much."

I'm with ya girl.

Elizabeth Taylor was one of many celebrities who have released statements regarding the death of Michael Jackson. She told Usmagazine.com:

"My heart...my mind... are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can't imagine life without him," Taylor, 77, said in a statement to Us Thursday. "We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together. I was packing up my clothes to go to London for his opening when I heard the news. I still can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. It can't be so.

"He will live in my heart forever but it's not enough. My life feels so empty. I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I've ever known. Oh God! I'm going to miss him. I can't yet imagine life with out him. But I guess with God's help... I'll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, 'To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.' And, I will love HIM forever."

Elizabeth Taylor overdosed on prescription meds and booze on April 6. Partay! The 76-year-old actress woke her assistant to rush her to the hospital when she began vomiting and couldn't breathe.

Elizabeth was treated and released at Cedars-Sinai.

"Liz was panicking. She really thought she was going to die," a friend said.

Lizzie has been visiting the gay bars recently, so she might have gotten some bad shit and went into a K-hole. She's in a wheelchair, so that could have been dangerous. She could have run over a pet or an assistant. Never do club drugs if you can't handle that mess.

Due to her failing health, Elizabeth Taylor rarely has a chance to enjoy a public outing (except, of course, when she's swimming with the sharks), so it was a rare treat to see the actress enjoying a lovely sunny day out at the Abbey (AKA the Happiest Place on Earth) in West Hollywood.

The 75-year-old actress and long-time AIDS activist suffers from osteoporosis and has battled a long list of health problems, including a benign brain tumor, congestive heart failure and in the past, she has relied on a combination of steroids and pain killers to fight her back pain.

Now, however, she has stopped taking the medications, which many of her friends blame for her often slurred speech and the occasional wacky outburst Liz has experienced in public. She's fantastic, but I think that maybe part of her problem might stem from the copious amounts of jewelry she's wears. God love her, that stuff is just too damn heavy.

I love spunky old broads and wacky Elizabeth Taylor is no exception. First off, girlfriend was so totally the shit back in the day with her lavender eyes and torpedo boobs, mixing it up on-screen with old-school hotties like Marlon Brando and Paul Newman, getting married as many times as I've changed long-distance carriers. Plus, in her older age, she's busted ass to raise money for charity, and these days a wheelchair couldn't keep her from diving with sharks. That's right, you read that last part correctly. Girlfriend is still alive and kicking. And now, she's promoting her latest venture, the House of Taylor jewelry line she's now selling for her fans who don't just want to smell like they're wearing White Diamonds, but be all sparkly as well, like Elizabeth here. Kathy Ireland, who took a break from designing lamps, also came out for the event, promoting her jewelry line as well and Kathy Hilton showed up in what almost looks like a Martha Stewart costume and has been generally annoying me with her existence pretty much ever since Paris was sentenced to spend time behind bars. I hope she gets some really bad plastic surgery real soon, so I can make fun of it. They always do.

I love those White Diamonds commercials, with the fuzzy lenses that give whoever's wearing the fragrance that fuzzy glow of seduction and allure. And a new man has fallen for the violet-eyed actress, Elizabeth Taylor, having had met the 75-year-old actress during the promotion of her jewelry line. Businessman, Jason Winters, accompanied Taylor to the Macy's Passport Gala in Los Angeles while Elizabeth sang his praises.

"Jason Winters is one of the most wonderful men I've ever known and that's why I love him.

"He bought us the most beautiful house in Hawaii and we visit it as often as possible."

I love Elizabeth and the fact that she's been married eight times, especially because of all the fundraising she does for AIDS charities, but even more because she recently went swimming with the sharks, even though she's pretty much stuck in a wheelchair. I just always get a little nervous when old ladies fall in love. Because old ladies get excited about things like sleep number mattresses and comfortable shoes and might be too easily swept off their feet. OK, after writing that last sentence, I just realized that for all intents and purposes, I might as well be an old lady.
