While Ryan O'Neal and his daughter Tatum O'Neal aren't what you would say close anymore, you'd think that Ryan would at least recognize his daughter. According to The Sun, here's how it went down at Farrah Fawcett's funeral.

He said: "I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me.

"I said to her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?'

"She replied, 'Daddy, it's me - Tatum!'

"I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter. It's so sick."

His daughter then told the mag: "That's our relationship in a nutshell. You make of it what you will. It had been a few years since we'd seen each other, and he was always a ladies' man, a bon vivant."

Oh silly Ryan and Tatum, go back to taking the drugs, you weren't nearly as creepy stoned.

It was a grand and moving sendoff for Farrah Fawcett, who died after her long battle with cancer last week. Hollywood stars, and Farrah's family gathered in a Los Angeles cathedral on Tuesday to pay tribute to Charlie Angel's actress Farrah Fawcett, who died of cancer last week.

Ryan O'Neal, 68, was seen weeping as he lifted Farrah's dark brown casket covered in orange and yellow flowers while surrounded by police. The star-studded service came just five days after the 62-year-old lost her long battle against cancer.

Redmond O'Neal, 24, was given special permission to leave jail - where he has been serving time for drug charges - to attend the funeral in the presence of two police deputies and a sergeant.

Redmond, who was allowed to visit his mother at her bedside before she died, read Lamentations 3: 17 - 26 from the Bible, while his father read Wisdom 3: 1- 9.

Representing Farrah's most popular TV show Charlie's Angels was her former co-star Kate Jackson, who looked sombre in a black dress and sunglasses as she entered the cathedral. Farrah's ex-husband, Lee Majors, Ernie Hudson, romance novelist Jackie Collins and sister Joan Collins also attended.

Rest in peace Farrah.

It's hard to believe that on Thursday, two Hollywood legends passed away within hours of one another. A three-year-long bout with cancer ended for 62-year-old Farrah Fawcett at a hospital in Los Angeles.

However, her legacy in pop culture will assuredly live on in these iconic images of her from her heyday. The famous poster of Farrah wearing a red, one-piece bathing suit and her trademark hairstyle is one that epitomizes the sexual awakening of the 70s.

The photograph is so powerful, in fact, that according to the pinup's obituary in the New York Times, it "sold more than twice as many copies as posters of Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable combined."

Farrah herself exhibited a sense of humor about her appeal. She once joked about the television series that rocketed her to fame, Charlie's Angels:

"When the show was number three, I figured it was our acting. When it got to be number one, I decided it could only be because none of us wears a bra."

We are all saddened by the passing of Farrah Fawcett yesterday, and no one is sadder than her longtime partner, Ryan O'Neal.

"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away," Ryan said in a statement. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

Farrah was just 62 when she lost her battle to cancer Thursday morning.
Although Ryan had hoped that he and Farrah would finally be married before her death, unfortunately it did not happen. "There just wasn't time, and Farrah wasn't in any condition to do it," Ryan said.

The troubled daughter of Ryan O'Neal, Farrah Fawcett's longtime partner has expressed her grief over the passing of the Charlie's Angels star to Entertainment Tonight.

Tatum O'Neal said, "[Farrah] was an inspiration to all women; an icon in her own right. She brought so much joy to millions and there are no words as to how much she will be missed."

The actress added, "I am truly heartbroken of Farrah's passing."

At the age of 62, Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett lost her battle to cancer today. The actress passed away this morning at St. John's Heath Center in Santa Monica, California.

By her side were her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal, her doctor Lawrence Piro, as well as her friend Alana Stewart.

O'Neal told People magazine, ""She's now with he mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much." He added, "She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."

Fawcett chronicled her struggle with cancer in a two-hour documentary that aired recently. She was first diagnosed with the disease three years ago.
