Because Cory Monteith plays football player turned reluctant musical star, Finn Hudson, on the FOX musical Glee, comparisons to Zac Efron's Troy Bolton from High School Musical.

Monteith tells E! Online, "I'm not Zac Efron! That was the biggest and most welcome change to my life--that I don't have to explain the show and explain how it's not like High School Musical anymore. Now everyone's seen it for at least five minutes!"

However, this new fame doesn't mean that Cory is going to be hitting up the club scene any time soon. "I have no real place to be at [clubs]. This is cool 'cause it's chill, and I can kind of work and talk about the show, do press and still hangout with my homeboys and play video games," the on-screen jock asserts.

For NOW. It's all fun and games until Paris Hilton gets her hooks into him.

Glee is on everyone's must watch list and if it's not on yours it's best to jump on the bandwagon now. Audiences have flocked to the show in droves, pulling in 8.6 million viewers to the Fox Network, and television execs aren't the only bigwigs benefiting from the show's popularity.

Music executives couldn't be happier with Glee fans who, since the show's inception, have downloaded over two million Glee ditties from iTunes and bought soundtracks from local music stores. With music revenue on the decline this new source of profit is a godsend.

The cast is beyond talented and I can't get enough of the singing and dancing. I'm so thrilled this show is a success.

Mark Salling who play the hot dimwitted jock on Glee, sat down with TV Guide to answer some of the burning questions that are being asked about the show. Here are some of the highlights.

TVGuide.com: Puck and Rachel had a short fling in the previous episode. Will they get together again?
Mark Salling: I would never rule it completely out, especially with this group of writers. You never know what's going to happen and who's going to be with whom. I hope it does; I like that dynamic myself. It seems like the fans really liked it, so hopefully they'll take that into consideration.

TVGuide.com: What will Finn's reaction be after learning that his best friend knocked up his girlfriend?
Salling: I think he'll be devastated. He's invested a lot already into the idea of fathering this child. Hopefully, Puck will step up to the plate and practice what he preaches and walk the walk.

Pop icon, Madonna, has reportedly given FOX musical sensation, the thumbs-up to use her songs for use in an "all-Madonna-music episode," according to Entertainment Weekly.

If the series stars give Madge's songs the same treatment as they did their cover of "Don't Stop Believin'," then viewers are in for a serious treat.

Speaking of pop star power, the show's co-creator, Ryan Murphy, admits that he is hoping to get American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, to sign on for a guest appearance. Well, wouldn't that be just fabulous?

For five or six episodes, Spring Awakening star, Jonathan Groff, will be gracing FOX's TV musical series, Glee.

Most recently seen in the Ang Lee-directed 70s period picture, Jonathan will be taking on the role of lead male singer for Vocal Adrenaline.

Co-creator of the series, Ryan Murphy explains, "He is a male diva...a miva." In addition, his character will be acting as a possible romantic interest for Lea Michele's character, Rachel. Something tells me their characters will have quite a time sharing the spotlight.

As you probably know right now I'm a big fan of Glee. It just makes he happy. A couple preview tracks have been released from this week's episode, plus a bonus cover.

This week's new Glee releases include high quality versions of the "It's My Life/Confessions Part II" and "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" mash-ups. The bonus is a cover of Avril Lavigne's "Keep Holding On."

In other Glee news Lea Michele posed outside David Letterman's studios, looking gorgeous in a body-hugging turquoise dress.
