Hollywood's Hottest Celebs Attend The Hollywood Foreign Press Luncheon




Celebrities know whose butt they need to kiss in order to make it in Hollywood, and one of the biggest butts is The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. They're the ones who hand out the Golden Globes every year. So when they say they want you to show up at their luncheon so they can hand out financial grants, you do. And boy, the celebs did.

The association handed out about $1,249,000 in grants today to 29 film school and other non-profit organizations. It's up from last year's about, as there was less money after the Golden Globes got nicked with the writer's strike.

But don't worry, the Globes are back again on January 17, and they will be fabulous. I mean, if Chris Pine shows up to the luncheon, you know he's going to show up to the actual show. Oh Chris. I love you. Sorry, got distracted. Make sure to check out all of the celebrities who showed up to luncheon. They're all so pretty. Pretty celebs are the best, don't you think?

HBO's 'Grey Gardens' Trailer Revealed, Jessica Lange Falls



I'm proud to say that in a crazy relative competition, I'm usually able to throw more than a few impressive anecdotes on the table. Of course, all it takes is a viewing of Grey Gardens, the documentary film telling the tale of Jackie O's reclusive Little Edie and Big Edie for me to realize I'm way out of my league.

And new life has been breathed into this real-life story with Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange taking on the roles of the eccentric mother and daughter duo, with the film set to air on HBO.



Meanwhile, on another note completely, Lange was recently injured after falling down in her home in Minnesota. Her rep claims the actress is expecting to be released from the hospital shortly and told People: "She bruised her ribs, broke her collarbone and received a small cut on her forehead."

Kate Winslet Looking Down On Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie



From on high! Kate Winslet gave an interview in which she noted that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie live a soap opera (allegedly of their own making...Angie is running that fame show) and she doesn't want any part of her own. This seems to be a running theme for her lately. Kate just wants to be a hot actress and kick ass in movies and raise her kids. She's got that on lockdown so far.

Here's Kate with Revolutionary Road director (and husband!) Sam Mendes and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at the Golden Globes.

"Although I don't know them, I do think about their situation. They're like a walking soap opera, and the public wants to know what's going to happen next. I didn't choose this profession because I wanted to be famous. I come from a family of actors, who have often struggled, so I always thought I'd be lucky if I even got a job," she says.

Angie just looked over across the pond and is sending her such a death viper glare that Kate can feel her throat closing up in England. Brad's too busy looking old, but Angie's looking at this online and saying "who does this heifer think she is? Igor! Concepcion! Get her!"

"I'm grateful for my success because of the freedom it's given me as an actress. The downside is how much more publicly available you become. I don't want Mia or Joe [her kids] to think being famous is about wearing beautiful dresses - if you're on a red carpet and wearing a fabulous frock, it's the result of years of hard graft."

Amen, sista. Check out Heavenly Creatures sometimes. It's one of her first films and it's rad and she was a thoroughbred right out of the gate. Granted it's no Wanted (heh), but not everyone can look skeletal and curve bullets.

Drunken Golden Globes Party Guest Tells Brad Pitt He's Ugly



Why can't awards season happen every week? The Golden Globes party circuit has left so many criminally amusing stories in it's wake, I have to be Choosy McChoose as to what makes it in here. It's refreshing!

Supposedly, at the party Paris Hilton wasn't high class, famous and artsy enough to attend, a drunk party-goer (a Creative Artist Agent trophy wife, perhaps?) stumbled up to Brad Pitt and told him he looked ugly in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Thankfully, she knew it was the makeup, as an eavesdropper heard Brad explain the make-up was "essential to telling the story properly."

While the lady "piped down" a bit, there must've been some nagging voice still chirping in her head saying, "no, no NO this man is still ugly!"

As she then blurted out: "And you should definitely shave that goatee because it looks just horrible."

Amen, sista! Brad Pitt has been looking particularly beat as of late and his unfortunate choice of facial hair at one point tipped him over into used up '70s porn star category. And we mean that in the worst way possible...

Paris Hilton Gets Kicked Out Of Golden Globes Party



Although Paris Hilton has starred in many cinematic masterpieces, she was not only robbed of a Golden Globe nomination this season, but also kicked out of The Creative Artist Agent after-party.

The nerve! Injustice comes in many disappointing shades.

Paris "slipped in" uninvited to the CAA post-Globes soiree -- hoping to upgrade her infectious dating options -- and was immediately spotted by Kevin Huvane, apparently a CAA party planner.

Kevin loudly demanded: 'Who let her in? She is not invited, and somebody had better get her out of here immediately!'"

(ed note: Please, please make him sort of a bitchier, queenier Tim Gunn type charactor)

So then Paris hid in the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom. Sort of like when we were 17-year-olds being naughty and sneaking into suburban neighborhood bars.

Security waited for 15 minutes until she finally emerged and escorted her out.

Better luck next time, P. Hilt. Who knows. Maybe Repo! The Genetic Opera will make a sequel and garner you an invite next year...

Tina Fey Called Out Actual Haters




Comedian and Alec Baldwin keeper Tina Fey is a cool-ass chick (yes, I know the backlash is about to begin in T-minus....) and proved herself so by clowning on actual people who have hated on her on the Intenet during her Golden Globe award acceptance speech.

During her speech, which was pretty amusing she mentioned how whenever she gets too sure of herself, she goes online. She looks to see what the HATERS, sorry, H8ERS are saying about her. And then she called those dicks out!



Someone calling themselves "dianefan" has repeatedly been cutting up Fey on the LA Times' Envelope awards site with comments such as "This Tina Fey love fest is a bloody joke at this point. I am rooting for anyone else in that category" and "Tina Fey was simply like the pimple on my face -  just there ....  I think that the key issue here is the fact that when Tina is at her best, she's just not that great."

And Tina mentioned her and "babson lacrosse" out by name! She's brilliant! Fey logged on to namedrop H8ERS and prove herself even more down to earth. She's just like one of us - vindictive and cruel!

Ryan Seacrest Talks Brangelina Diss




Angelina Jolie has a history of being annoyed with more-metrosexual-than-thou red carpet correspondent Ryan Seacrest. Back at the 2006 Golden Globes, Ryan interviewed the Changeling actress and later described her as being "cold."

So it should come as no big surprise that at this year's Golden Globes, Angie and her partner Brad Pitt opted to ignore Ryan's pleas to chat with him as they brushed past him on the red carpet. He should consider himself lucky that he managed to avoid her eyes of death.



Later, on his radio show, Ryan tried to explain their reasoning for being unresponsive by saying, "I don't think I'm top of mind for Brad and Angelina. I honestly don't believe they'd know who I was if I walked over there."

He claimed that because they live in France, they probably didn't realize what a media mogul he is. He produces such iconic television programming as Living Lohan and Keeping Up With The Kardashians for goodness' sake!

Katie Holmes Hurtled From NYC TO LA




Katie Holmes finished her last show on Broadway, went home and ratcheted up her undead face,  barely remembered to grab Suri and told NYC "smell ya later!" before getting on jetliner to LA. Holmes, in a glittery gold dress, joined husband Tom Cruise to make the rounds of the Golden Globes afterparties last night.

Tom snapped his fingers from across the land, and Katie literally hopped in a helicopter to the airport with the baby. What's his secret? What exactly is in their marriage contact to inspire such quickness?

Cruise brought his moms to the ceremony but swapped her out for the younger version afterwards.

2009 InStyle Golden Globes Afterparty




If you were a celebrity and you couldn't get into the HBO party last night, you were at InStyle's big ole' soiree. Everyone who's ever been on your TV or move screen yet still causes you to go "what's her name?" seemed to have been there. Some standouts:

Kristen Bell looked hot in red, with her hair behind one ear so she could hear the Heroes producers beg her to come back to their damn show seeing as she was pretty much the only reason to watch that shitshow.

Her Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere stuffed her boobage into a strapless sparkly eggplant of a dress, which was obviously trying to lure people other than the Heroes producers into hiring her. Even the cheerleader wants off that mess.

Rachel Zoe literally dressed as the Angel of Death. Seriously, she doesn't want anyone talking about her clavicle that can hew rock anymore so she wore a giant black toga. She should have a vulture perched on her shoulder or be carrying an hourglass and a scythe.

Innovative baby namer Paris Hilton lost her weave at her last lubed-up orgyplex, and went short for the show last night. She also had a blue gown on that I sort of liked, which means I probably should be forming a noose right now and using it becase I've sunk low. Very very low.
