Hayden Panettiere Debuts Bangs & Saves Whales

Heroes star and ardent animal rights activist, Hayden Panettiere looked even more energetic than usual on the red carpet at The Whaleman Foundation in Hollywood, which she hosted. The 20-year-old actress was probably excited to show off her new hairstyle, which included a darker shade of blonde and some new bangs.

Supporting his big sis, Jansen Panettiere, was also at the event with a very blond, very tan young friend. Additionally, Hayden's Heroes co-star, Jimmy Jean-Louis, was there to lend his the on-screen cheerleader and the organization itself.

But don't be fooled by Hayden looking all glam on the red carpet for the event. She's got no problem putting on a wet suit and paddling out into the thick of things, if the situation calls for it.

Hayden Panettiere To Make Her Producing Debut

The CW will soon debut HMS, a medical drama about a group of "bright students" at Harvard Medical school, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  HMS is the brainchild of Mystic Pizza writer Amy Holden Jones, who will also serve as executive-producer.  Another big name attached to the project is Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who signed on as co-executive producer.  This will mark a producing debut for Panettiere.

Seeking to build a medical drama franchise, the CW resurrected the script after passing on it in 2004.  I guess they figured now was the perfect time to match up magical cheerleaders with med students.   Timing is everything. 

Something tells me the real Harvard medical school won't be psyched about this whole CW-medicine thing.  Who else sees red flags?

Jimmy Choo For H&M Event Sparkles With Celebrities

Most of the ladies attending the Jimmy Choo for H&M event busted out a little black dress for the evening, with Lisa Rinna, Nicky Hilton, Whitney Port and Kate Walsh dressed in sexy black dresses.

They weren't the only ones opting for the slimming shade, with Hayden Panettiere, Gabrielle Reece, Sheryl Crow, Paris Hilton and Julie Brown opting for sleek black pantsuits.

Of those who chose to add some color to the palette, with RuPaul donning a brightly-colored plaid suit. Always one to stand out in a crowd, Diablo Cody also stepped out in a splash of color. Bringing the best of two worlds together, rapper MIA, paired a shark print blouse with a pair of black leather pants. Nicely done.

6th Annual Hollywood Life Style Awards Good Taste

OK, so here's to hoping that Pamela Anderson was simply attending the 6th Annual Hollywood Life Style Awards and not being recognized for her fashion choices over the past year. The blond pinup showed up to the event in what looks like a giant, light-pink satin sheet that was attacked by a gang of alley cats.

Other starlets in attendance opted for a more classic look. Heroes stars, Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto were appropriately stylish with the on-screen cheerleader donning a fetching lavender mini dress and the Star Trek star looking dapper in an all-black suit and blue tie.

Kim Kardashian showed of her curvaceous figure in a clingy, white dress. In a black, 80s-retro mini-dress, Disney Channel star, Selena Gomez looked polished and pretty. Katie Cassidy from Melrose Place looked regal in her up-swept hairdo.

Hayden Panettiere Frightened Of Certain Fans

While young Heroes star, Hayden Panettiere, does her best to accommodate her adoring fans by posing for pictures and signing autographs outside the Jimmy Kimmel studio (check out the video of her on Kimmel after the jump), she has her limit. When it comes to pretending to be best friends with people she's never met--that's where Hayden draws the line.

As the 20-year-old actress explains, "I just got a box at my house for my birthday from this girl who writes all the time--just like body lotions and this little box of dog toys in there." Sounds lovely, right?

Panettiere continues, "But she wrote in it things like 'I'm so glad to be able to call you friend and I tell you every day what an amazing person you are'...When it gets that close to home it gets a little nerve-wracking."

Sorry, sheesh. I just thought you'd like some moisturizer.

Heroes star Ali Larter is seen strutting her stuff with the newfound confidence of a redhead as she takes a walk in Los Angeles.

Could this mean that Ali is going to be playing yet another version of her Tracy Strauss character on Heroes? What are we thinking of Heroes this season? All I know is that Madeline Zima who plays Hayden Panettiere's college roommate on the show, creeps me out.

Celebrities Celebrate 2009 Emmy Awards In Style

Representing for the Twilight contingent, Kellan Lutz showed up at the Chateau Marmont post-Emmy party in a slick black suit, complete with a skinny tie and a new dark do.

Also hitting up the Chateau Marmont is young Hayden Panettiere, whose long-lasting bright red lipstick managed to remain intact throughout the course of the evening. Impressive.

HBO hosted its Primetime Emmy Party at the Pacific Design Center, where Grey Gardens star, Jessica Lange, proudly accessorized her green gown with the trophy she won earlier in the evening. At the same event, young 90210 star, AnnaLynne McCord showed of her legs (and almost much, much more) in a confounding, short black dress and bright pink heels.

At Vibiana, Entertainment Weekly and People magazine held their awards show after-party at Vibiana, where Emmy winners, Jon Cryer, Jerry Bruckheimer and Toni Collette happily posed for photographers while proudly clutching their brand new statuettes.

2009 Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Ladies

Padma Lakshmi is a reality television siren in a flirty, figure-hugging purple dress accented with what I'm going to refer to as a red garnish on her hips. Stunning Ugly Betty star, Vanessa Williams, also opted for a brightly-colored ensemble and was gorgeous in turquoise.

House star, Olivia Wilde, is a vision in a sheer, white lace gown that flaunts her trim figure. Just as radiant is her co-star, Lisa Edelstein, whose midnight-blue and white frock really brings out her eyes.

It's hard to tell whether or not Alyson Hannigan's strapless, A-line number is a dark, dark blue, or black. One thing is for sure--it's very flattering in the many layers, much like her hairstyle.

Looking angelic, with long, blond hair, Saving Grace star, Holly Hunter looks fabulous. Her critically-acclaimed series is one that sadly won't be returning to TV for another season. Hmm, this seems to be a theme these days...

Hayden Panettiere & Blake Lively: Red Hot At 2009 Emmy Awards

It's always a bold choice for an actress to deck herself out in red, but tonight's young presenters, Hayden Panettiere and Blake Lively are feeling up to the challenge, in their respective bright, red gowns.

Statuesque Sigourney Weaver conjures up the image of a gorgeous Greek goddess in her one-shoulder, asymmetrical, floor-length gown. House star Jennifer Morrison opted for a strapless cocktail-length gown, with an asymmetrical hem for the evening, looking fresh-faced with her hair pulled back at the nape of her neck.

That trademark smile of Debra Messing's is almost as bright as her red, toga-style gown. The former star of Will & Grace showed off her tan with gold jewelry accents. The Office star, Angela Kinsey, has clearly left her subdued accountant persona at home, stepping out in a fire-red gown while Family Guy's Mila Kunis looks playful in a wine-red frock.
