As you've heard by now Ashlee Simpson was given the axe by execs at Melrose Place but rebounded quickly with a gig reprising the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, but this time on Broadway. The starlet previously played the part in the West End back in 2006.

If you recall Jessica Simpson twittered Melrose Place was "crap" upon Ashlee getting kicked to the curb, a comment I don't totally disagree with, though her motivation is suspect. This time around Jessica is twittering support for her younger sister and Ashlee's new role writing, "I can't wait to watch @ashsimpsonwentz on broadway in all her glory!!! I get chillbumps from toes to noggin thinking about it!! YAY!!!!"

It seems that all is going well on stage. Ashlee twittered "just finished second CHICAGO rehearsal. Man I love the theater and putting my dancing shoes back on!!"

On a side note- can anyone tell me what happened to Heather Locklear's face? I, of course, tuned into her much anticipated return to Melrose Place and was frightened. Why is no one talking about the botox and lip injections gone wrong?!

It was a 99-92 win for the LA Lakers over the Los Angeles Clippers. Khloe Karshashian was there to cheer on her husband Lamar Odom who was concentrating on the season. "We feel like we can play for the record of most wins in a season and win another championship," Odom said.

Delightfully catty as Ella Simms in Melrose Place, actress Katie Cassidy recently hinted to E! Online that a tragedy in the CW series plot line will stun viewers.

While Katie refused to reveal the identity of the character whose future looks grim, she did say, "But I think everyone's going to be surprised. [The death] is a shocker, but at the same time, it's really good."

It better not be Amanda Woodward! She just got here! Katie had nothing but good things to say about Heather Locklear's return to the show. "Heather is amazing. I've had so much fun working with her. She's a really cool chick and it's been really great to work with her. I'm happy she came on the show."

So are we and we'd like her to stick around.

Can the bitch that saved Melrose Place the first time, save it a second time? This is a tough one to call, but if anyone can add some spice to Melrose Place it's Heather Locklear. Giving Katie Cassidy's bitch a formidable opponent means things are only looking up.

Now if she could accidentally kill Ashlee Simpson character I'll be very very happy.

When chatting with Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly, Melrose Place actress Katie Cassidy says that she "imagines" Heather Locklear's role on the CW series will be as boss of the PR firm where Cassidy's character works.

While Katie claims to be unable to confirm that Locklear is indeed making an appearance on the show, Amanda Woodward's return seems imminent.

And it couldn't possibly hurt the ratings. If they get Heather to come back, the only other change I would recommend would be more wedding dress-wearing sisters be thrown in the pool.

FINALLY! Amanda Woodward is moving back into her notorious former television residence. That's right, Heather Locklear will be joining the cast of the Melrose place remake on the CW.

Executive producers of the show, Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin tell E! Online, "Heather's involvement in the show is something we've been working on for some time, as we couldn't imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character's inclusion."

Yes! Amanda needs to whip those tenants into shape and snap audiences out of their boredom. Hopefully, she'll be bringing along plenty of 90s powersuits with pointy shoulder pads and lots of money to invest in the various business ventures of her tenants.

You know her, you love her and now it's possible that former Melrose Place star Heather Locklear will return for a role on the remake. People reports that Heather is in talks to reprise her role as uber bitch Amanda Woodward.

Heather wouldn't be the first cast member to join the new Melrose Place. Original series stars Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bisset, and Daphne Zuniga have already signed on for guest starring roles, so really, it just seems logical that Heather would come back too.

Todd Slavkin, the show's executive producer sounded like he would really want Heather to come back when he discussed it at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. "We're huge fans of hers," he said, but added that to bring an alumni back they have to see, "Does it feel organic? Does it not feel contrived? That's really what's important to us."

Although no one has officially confirmed if Heather will reprise her role or not, I can't see any reason why she wouldn't do it. The show looks like it's going to be a hit with its hot cast and scandalous story lines, and let's be honest here, Heather hasn't done much in a while.

The most one sees of her these days is hanging out with ex-husband Richie Sambora at one of their kid's school events. Heather, please go on the show. It'll be fun! Anyone else agree with me?

The CW, which is already the home of the Beverly Hills 90210 remake, will also be where the reincarnated version of Melrose Place will be living. As for the tenants, EW's Michael Ausielo is reporting that Ashlee Simpson will be moving in.

The recent CSI: NY guest star and former star of 7th Heaven will be playing the character of Violet, a small-town girl who move to the big city, whose wide-eyed charm conceals her more sinister intentions. Oh yeah, Sydney's back, red hair and all. Also, Mischa Barton's still a casting possibility at this point.

As for the most important question of whether or not Heather Locklear has designs on reprising her role, according to a tipster, "It's looking good." That, of course, is awesome. Now, would someone please be a dear and give Lisa Rinna a call before she shows up on set with a sandwich board on her body that reads, "Will Work For Attention."

There didn't seem to be any tension between ex-husband and wife Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora as the former couple sat together in bleachers to watch their daughter Ava Elizabeth Sambora playing soccer at the View Point School in Calabasas.

Both Richie and Heather have had a hell of a time since their split, with both of them checking into rehab at different times and getting busted for DUI, although no charges were placed against Heather.

It's clear that even though they appear to be on good terms, Richie and Heather aren't making any kind of effort to impress one another with Locklear showing up in a frumpalicious ensemble, topped off with a beanie and Sambora donning an awkwardly-sized pair of pants on a stripe shirt that shows off this man-boobs to the fullest.
