While celebrities seemed to shy away from the Los Angeles premiere of New Moon, this was not the cast at the The Twilight Saga: New Moon screening hosted by The Cinema Society & D&G in New York City.

It was a pretty hip crowd. Jessica Szohr, Katie Lee Joel, Taylor Momsen, Howard Stern, Jessica Stam, Kenneth Cole, Alison Mosshart, Ivanka Trump, Amber Rose, Patrick Wilson, Natalie Portman, Lydia Heast, Agyness Deyn, Rachel Roy, Justin Tuck, Veronica Webb, Beth Ostrosky, Sarah Winter, Ed Westwick, Joan Jett, Justin Kirk, Abigail Breslin, Dan Abrams, Emma Roberts, Fergie, Eric Mabius, Trey Songz and Alexa Chung all joined the New Moon cast for the screening of the film.

It's been a while since we've been forced to look at the late Anna Nicole Smith's uber-creepy, perpetually blood-shot eyed attorney Howard K. Stern.

Thanks to the state of California we can rest our eyes on Mr. Vacant Stare once again because he, along with two doctors Kristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, were charged with one count apeice of felony conspiracy for supplying Anna pills without a prescription. The three earned a whopping accumulation of eight felonies in all.

Officials are saying the three aided Anna in her travel to the great beyond on February 8, 2007 when police found 11 illegally prescribed medication bottles in her Florida hotel room.

"These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose," California Attorney General Jerry Brown said in a statement. "There is ample evidence that Doctor Eroshevich and Doctor Kapoor violated their ethical obligations as physicians, while Mr. Stern funneled highly addictive drugs to Ms. Smith."

We also learn Anna Nicole's alias was Michelle Chase and she was given methadone when pregnant with Dannielynn.

Dr. Khristine Eroshevich is the psychiatrist who was treating Anna Nicole Smith before her untimely death early this year and has been under investigation as a result of Smith's passing, which was caused by a drug overdose. And today, California Dept. of Justice agents escalated their investigation by raiding Eroshevich's home in Studio City, CA.

"There were about six cars and some men walking around with ... guns," a neighbor who lives on the street tells PEOPLE.

Eleven medical prescriptions were found in Anna's hotel room in Florida on the day of her death and it was Eroshevich who had given authorization for each. According to CNN, Howard K. Stern, Smith's lawyer/companion was at the home at the time of the raid, and the excuse that he gave was that he was picking up his dogs that had been staying at the house. Does this doctor also run a kennel? This is so random. No arrests have been made at this time, but I think the next step is for someone to give those poor dogs some drug tests.

Isn't that kind of like Son of Sam suing the Zodiac Killer? Is he suing because he feels he should have been the SOLE person to exploit Anna Nicole Smith? Maybe he wasn't THROUGH exploiting her yet? He was getting to it. Howard K. Stern is suing former MSNBC anchor Rita Crosby over her book "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death". Madonna should sue, too. That heifer stole her tour title!

Stern filed a $60 million lawsuit against Rita Cosby on Tuesday over "false allegations" in her new tome Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death.

The book claims Stern and Larry Birkhead--the father of Smith's daughter Dannielynn--were lovers who plotted to get control of the late star's estate. Cosby, a former MSNBC correspondent, claims there is a sex tape to prove the pair were lovers.

But Stern's attorney, L. Lin Wood, has furiously denied the accusations.

Wood says, "Blonde Ambition purports to be a 'tell-all' book, but it can only be accurately described as a 'tell-all-lies' book.

Oh now I get it, someone doesn't want to come off looking like a big 'mo. Dude, everyone could glean the subtext when you and Tresemme' over there were fighting over the baby down in the Bahamas. That hairdo on Birkhead indicated an obvious gay and you seem like one of those bitter closeted types where the closet has driven you crazy and made you sour at life.

Oh, don't be fooled. Just because they've now figured out who the daddy of Dannielynn is, does not mean that all of this Anna Nicole Smith legal nonsense is anywhere near over. Now, the "baby" in question is her diary. Howard K. Stern's lawyer, Lin Wood, is claiming that Anna's diaries were obtained illegally and wants those parties involved with the auctions of the materials to hand them over, says TMZ:

"Make no mistake: these items were stolen from Ms. Smith by one or more thieves," claims Wood's letter. "Ms. Smith's Estate intends to vigorously pursue the return of the diaries, will take whatever means necessary to secure their return, and will hold to account those persons and entities that have profited through their reprehensible acts at the expense of the Estate."

Meanwhile, Thomas Riccio, with whom the sale of the diaries originated, begs to differ with Stern, stating "the facts he mentions in the letter are FALSE -- these diaries are NOT stolen, (They were obtained BEFORE her death) -- he is just trying to steal more money in the name of Anna Nicole."

See, THIS is why they make those little locks that go on the side. DUH.

Evil Bahamian genius/prescription drug provider/baby imprisoner Howard K. Stern is in talks with a highly regarded legal eagle to apparently start firing libel suits at the media. It would be SO hot if we got hit with one. I'd be flattered. I'm sure my publisher wouldn't be jazzed. But it would get our name in the papers, and it would mean I don't have to go through with my original idea for a stunt to increase page views. Which involved me lighting myself on fire outside of Winston's in L.A., screaming "A Socialite's Life - This Ain't CNN, Bitches!" and letting the Olsen twins warm their old bones beside me.

Lin Wood, the high-powered lawyer with a specialty in defamation cases, has issued a statement confirming the TMZ report that he is, in fact, in discussions with Howard K. Stern:

Mr. Wood has received numerous inquiries seeking to confirm media reports that he is in discussions with Howard K. Stern concerning possible legal representation of Mr. Stern, both individually and in his capacity as the Executor of the Estate of Anna Nicole Smith. This statement is issued to confirm that such discussions are ongoing and that Mr. Wood expects to issue an additional statement early next week with respect to this matter. At this time, Mr. Wood is not commenting further on his discussions with Mr. Stern.

As TMZ first reported, a retainer agreement has not yet been signed, but we're told Stern and Wood have agreed in principle that the uber-aggressive lawyer would file various lawsuits against certain members of the media.

I guess this guy must be a serious player. Even though his press photo looks like a Calvin Klein "Obsession" ad from the late 90's. Seriously, black and white with a vacant, yet penetrating gaze. Do juries respond to that? Do people like models turned lawyers? I'd prefer an older dude who "harumphs" a lot and looks like he could have been in "Inherit The Wind." But seriously, once we're sure Dannielynn isn't Howard's - who the hell is he going to sue, why and how can he back it? You've got a baby held hostage that's not yours! It might be in the Bahamas, but that doesn't mean it's not a kidnapping!

Howard K. Stern, perhaps realizing that his move to block DNA testing basically made him look like the kidnapper that he is, gave it up .

The lawyer-turned-partner of Anna Nicole Smith dropped his bid Monday to halt the use of DNA to prove the paternity of the former Playboy playmate's infant daughter when it appeared a Bahamas court was going to reject his appeal. An attorney for Howard K. Stern withdrew the challenge in the face of skeptical questioning by a three-judge panel of the Court of Appeal.

All three judges said Stern filed his challenge too late and should have raised his objections before the Supreme Court ordered DNA testing in the paternity challenge filed by Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend of Smith's who claims to be the father of the infant, Dannielynn.

Justice Emmanuel E. Osadebay noted that Stern himself had agreed to DNA testing -- and even suggested an expert to do the analysis -- but waited until a week after the sample was taken to file the a challenge to the court's decision.

"His problem is that the person he wanted to do the testing was not the one selected by the court," Osadebay said.

No, honey, his problem was that the kid ain't his and belongs to the hairdo guy and he knows it. And everyone knows it. But I am gonna look like a damn fool if it turns out to be Zsa Zsz Gabor's husband, Prince I Need Attention's kid. Or one of the bodyguards. Shit, I shouldn't be so strident. Ok, let's just all agree that the kid doesn't belong to Howard K. Stern and we can move on from there. At this point, I would be ok with the baby being mine and Lisa Timmons being the father. At least then we would know she would be snarky, look great with a martini and know how to shoplift a canned ham. I'll let you decide which of those qualities are Lisa's and which are mine.

Howard K. Stern has successfully stalled an inquest into Daniel Smith's death for the time being. Why wouldn't he want people to know what killed the kid? How many spinning plates of sleazy deceit can this guy keep up in the air at the same time? Or is he just a victim of his own greed? He should be put in jail for being f*cking annoying and taking up my typing prowess, that's what!

Howard K. Stern has temporarily derailed the inquest into Daniel Smith's death. The judge in the case has put the inquest on ice for at least two weeks.

Stern's lawyer argued the law allowing the inquest was flawed, because it was impossible to impanel a fair and impartial jury given the massive publicity surrounding the deaths of Anna Nicole and her son.

Stern's lawyer is going to the Bahamian Supreme Court to argue that the hearing should be permanently blocked. Good luck with the Bahamian Supreme Court. I say that because wasn't the Minister of Visas And Citizenship or whatever photographed laying on top of Anna and smiling like he just won first prize in the "Rope A Freaky White Girl" competition? Yeah, those Bahamian officals are top-notch and completely serious about their work.

This bitch needs to give it up, already. It's over, Johnny! Why delay if you're the Daddy? Ass. Howard K. Stern has filed an appeal to delay the DNA paternity testing.

Howard K. Stern has filed an appeal in his ongoing paternity battle over Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, this according to "Entertainment Tonight."

TMZ is told that the appeal will absolutely delay the reveal of DNA results, but for how long is unknown. The next hearing is April 3.

Last week, Stern followed court orders and drove Dannielynn to a lab for a DNA swab. Larry Birkhead also gave a sample.

Though, I will say this is just the latest chapter in The Greatest Story Ever Told. Speaking truthfully, I have never witnessed events that were so soap opera-like. Not that I'm going to be sad when it's over or anything. But I am still waiting for Anna's previously unknown twin sister Mamie to roll into town and lay a claim on the baby, and to find out that Kimmie killed Anna. And that's when the earthquake hits, trapping Larry Birkhead with Anna's loyal nurse, and causing the Midjagorean diamonds to plummet into the crevasse along with Bobby Trendy.

Which, I'm guessing will soon NOT include a baby. It looks like Howard K. Stern's going to have find some new digs. The house where he's been residing with Dannielynn is no longer his home. G. Ben Thompson, the man who purchased the Bahamian property under Anna Nicole's name is having her lawyer/lover tossed out. According to TMZ:

South Carolina businessman G. Ben Thompson bought the house in Smith's name, with the understanding that Smith would buy it from him down the road. However, says Thompson to Access Hollywood (via Us), "We know that Howard K. Stern cannot pass [the DNA test] in any way that would suggest he is the father of that particular child" - and so Thompson's going to serve him with an eviction notice.
