It's a daunting task, gathering up the courage to approach a celebrity and ask for a photo. After all, they spend all day long smiling for photographers on the red carpet and the rest of the time, ducking the paparazzi.

But Tom Murro is one celebrity enthusiast who obviously has a knack for getting the money shot. You remember him, don't you? He's the guy to whom Daniel Craig offered his watch when the two met just outside of the Broadway theater where Daniel stars in A Steady Rain.

Well, we found Tom quite charming and as it turns out, his collection of celebrity photos is quite impressive, including several candid photos of President Barack Obama, all of which he assures us are the real deal. As Tom tells it, "Yes the photo is real... we met him on Martha's Vineyard one on one all thanks to Spike Lee vouching for us with the Secret Service, the president was cool and gracious, I almost passed out! What an honor. My wife was was so mad that she didn't make the trip with us...oh well maybe next time."

Awards season has kicked off, and star-gazers galore are wondering, "If not Hugh, then who?  Who will host?"  Host what, you ask?  The Oscars, dear friends.  The Superbowl of all award shows.  A splendid celebration of unmedicated talent.  Last year's host, Hugh Jackman, will not return.  And Ricky Gervais is already hosting the Golden Globes in January.   Fruitless!  And so, the search goes on.

Eonline looked to Johnny Avello, director of sports race and sports operations at The Wynn and Encore by day, Oscar handicapper by night.  Though some are hoping this year's Emmy Host, Neil Patrick Harris, is selected for the big night, Avello doubts it.  Though he's proven himself in 2009 (TVLand Awards, Tonys, Emmys), people might not want to see Harris host a fourth show.

"'That's what he has going against him: Do we want to see his face that many times this year?' Avello asked."

A leading contender, according to Avello? Nine-time host Billy Crystal, with a 5-2 bet to return. I'm having a Tom Selleck/Ted Danson moment (don't ask), so I like those odds.   Other potential contenders are Chevy Chase, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Martin and David Lettermen (although unlikely).

Do tell, socialites.  Are you disappointed Hugh Jackman isn't returning?  Who are you interested in seeing host the 2010 Academy Awards?

For those people who believed that David Beckham was holding onto his facial hair for superstitious reasons, or to make some kind of fashion statement, the soccer star is clearing up any confusion.

Becks explains, "Halloween is coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from X-Men. It's not some play-off ritual. I'm just lazy and can't be bothered to shave. And everybody keeps telling me to cut it and I'm stubborn."

That's pretty cool. Just good luck with making a better Wolverine than little Cruz Beckham, which totally isn't possible.

Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, along with his Steady Rain co-star Daniel Craig and his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell attended the 2009 Worldwide Orphans Foundation Benefit Gala. Hugh and his wife were Honorary Committe Co-Chairs for the event.

The Worldwide Orphans Foundation provides direct services in many areas to care for the health of children living in orphanages around the world.

Also attending the event were Wendy Deng Murdoch and Weeds star Mary Louise Parker.

Hugh Jackman and his family are seen here returning to their apartment in New York City yesterday, having spent the day celebrating his 41st birthday with his family. While Jackman may have to deal with the occasional screaming child at home, he's going to have to deal with many more screams at his upcoming gig.

Hugh Jackman is joining Megan Fox, Tobey Maguire, Liv Tyler, Elijah Wood, Sam Raimi and Quentin Tarantino to celebrate all that is scream-worthy at the Scream 2009 Awards.

Vampires will have a heavy presence at this year's event, as the cast of HBO's True Blood is expected and Twilight star Taylor Lautner is set to show footage from the forthcoming film New Moon.
