Brooke Hogan's latest album, The Redemption, debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at #144, with 3,381 copies sold. Ouch.

She held an album release party at Mansion in Miami this past Friday night. A full ten days after the album debuted.

Note to Brooke. An album release party should take place before your CD debuts. I'm thinking Brooke should forgo releasing anymore albums and just stick to live performing, because that's where she really "shines." This can be witness in the video below, in which she performed live on Good Day NY.

Because there's not a single member of the Hogan Family who would miss an opportunity to make a public statement. And Hulk Hogan claiming in an interview with Rolling Stone that he can relate to O.J. Simpson was the perfect serve for his ex-wife Linda Hogan to volley back.

"Hulk's serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future. Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates," Linda responded quickly.

Her rep Gary Smith also took the opportunity to put in his two cents. "Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously. Linda's attorney Ray Rafool is weighting all options necessary to protect his client."

Of course, then it was Hulk's turn to try and do some damage control. His rep realized it was his turn to release a statement and said, "Hulk in no way condones the O.J. situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation."

I hope these two drown in a pool of their own self-tanner.

It seems that seemingly paranoid 911 call made by Linda Hogan last year on her ex-husband Hulk Hogan might not be as preposterous as it sounded at the time. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the professional wrestler and lotion aficionado claims that his rage over his wife's cougarish rebound with his son's friend was so intense, he could have murdered them both. "I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody's throat," the Hulkster confessed.

He explained, "You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater [Florida] and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife...I totally understand OJ. I get it."

To put this in perspective, though, Hulk also thinks the wrestling he does is real. So he most likely just envisioned them "killing" them both in a vigorous game of Clue.

Clearly Brooke Hogan is aware that people attend her concerts less out of interest in her music than out of a particular craving for freakshow amusement. 

The wannabe-singer put a new twist into her class act yesterday while performing at the Calle Ocho music festival in Miami: a stripper pole!   

Everyone's favorite new home accessory was violated repeatedly, as Brooke used it to hump, dance, and even hang upside down, all while showing dangerous amounts of partially-toned copper skin.  Those Hogans, they're such daredevils!

And because nothing is TMI for the Hogan family, daddy Hulk Hogan didn't seem to mind watching his daughter do her best Britney Spears impression for an audience of men who quite possibly share his (and his ex-wife's) love of cradle-robbing. 

When Hulk wasn't busy with his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel, he even congratulated Brooke for a job well done by hugging her with the kind of affection we've come to appreciate from him.  If only we all had such supportive parents!

I used to think that the family that tans together, stays together. But the Mystic Tan adhering the various members of the Hogan family to one another has dissolved.Things went sour when the gang got a reality show, a weekly VH1 staged peek into the lives of Hulk Hogan, his wife Linda and children Brooke and Nick.

This year, we watched Nick and his family try to whine their way out of him spending time behind bars for last year's reckless driving and then treat him like a martyr when he basically did what was legally mandated.

The marriage between Hulk and Linda took a turn for the worse when she served him divorce papers in late 2007. Classy lady that she is, she let him find out when he got a call from the media.

Then this year, Hulk started dating a Linda/Brooke lookalike and engaged in some uncomfortable fatherly love. Linda raised the ante by dating her son's friend, who is a good thirty years younger than her.

As if this weren't enough for the American public to bear, Brooke got her own reality show in which she demonstrated how little she actually does know, much less knows "best."

During a watershed election year, bottle-blond Brooke made it clear she considered auditioning roommates for her pathetically-scripted "reality" show more important than voting.

It's probably for the best. She would have found a way to injure herself and others in that voting booth, somehow.

It was a year filled with tragedy, evil-doing and dumbass behavior. Let's take a look.

Stalking was at an all-time high this year, with Jennifer Garner, Alyssa Milano and Kirsten Dunst filing for orders of protection against crazies who kept bothering them. That kind of shit is one reason not to go into acting.

In July, actor Shia LaBeouf got his truck rolled after he was in a traffic accident at an Hollywood intersection. It was ruled to be the other driver's fault, but LaBeouf was also found to be drunk at the scene, and cited for a misdemeanor. Someone knows someone down at the police station. LaBeouf severely injured his hand in the wreck.

Anne Hathaway's boyfriend of four years Rafaello Follieri went to prison for getting rich people to invest in his fake Vatican property scheme. Hathaway dumped him right before he was arrested which makes one wonder just how much involvement she had in his arrest.

Heather Locklear was busted for DUI at the end of September in Montecito, CA and gave us one of the saddest crazy eyes mugshots of the year. Locklear was reportedly loopy on pills at the time and had recently been treated for depression. She faces up to six months in jail.

Nick Hogan, dimwit son to Hulk, went to jail in May for felony reckless driving for a street racing accident which left his best friend in a permanent vegetative state. Hogan's behavior during his imprisonment (whining on the phone to his parents, etc.) was rank and there was a definite "blame the victim" mentality among him and his family members. He was released early in October for good behavior before he could be rightfully tattooed on his ass and employed as someone's prag.

In April rage-a-holic supermodel Naomi Campbell threw a wobbly at Heathrow Airport when one of her bags wasn't allowed on the plane. She reportedly spit at and hurled racist epithets (as opposed to her cell phone) at responding police officers and was arrested. But then she was released to terrorize the world once more!

George O'Dowd (Boy George to you and I) was recently convicted of assaulting and falsely imprisoning a Norweigian male prostitute in November of 2007. George apparently chained him to his apartment wall and beat him with some more chain. He's a big fan of Home Depot.

Mark Ruffalo's brother's Scott's shooting death this month was recently found to be a homicide. Two suspects have already been treated and released. The death was initially believed to be from a game of Russian roulette.

And lastly, the most tragic (besides the above) celebrity crime this year were the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year old nephew in October. The crimes, which were reportedly committed by Jennifer's brother-in-law, made national headlines in October.

Included in our 2008 celebrity crime gallery are runner-ups Andy Dick, Gary Dourdan, Josh Brolin, Richie Sambora, Ryan O'Neal, Scott Weiland, Vanilla Ice, Ne-Yo, Lil' Wayne, Suge Knight, Mischa Barton, Barron Hilton and O.J. Simpson.

Hulk Hogan has a lot of problems - his son serving as jail-bait, his daughter accusing him of domestic violence, and his subsequent failures to have them both executed. And now he has another problem. His wife, Linda Bollea, has somehow run out of money despite receiving $40,000 a month in alimony payments. In her defense, self-tanner is not as cheap as it used to be.

During a court hearing late last week, Linda's attorney asked the judge to set another hearing to discuss unfreezing some of the couple's assets for her own use. Hogan's attorney, however, put a body-slam on that idea.

"They have to tell me why she's out of money," she said. "They have to show me in bank statements." 

The Hogans starred on VH1's Hogan Knows Best, and Linda filed for divorce shortly thereafter. Which is understandable. After watching that show, I wanted a divorce from my eyes.

Nick Hogan (A/K/A Nick Bollea) recently celebrated his release from jail with a party and his father Hulk Hogan claims that his son has learned valuable life lessons from time spent in jail.

"And before he went in there, he was accountable, and he was responsible. And I think that's what he found out in jail, the most important thing. He understands what is real life," the wrestler with the shocking blond handlebar mustache told radio host Michael Yo on E!

Hmm, yeah. Time spent away from his tanning bed and Sun-In has made Nick a changed man. Like a man who doesn't drag race on the street, I'm hoping.

The son of Hulk Hogan, Nick Hogan (real name Nick Bollea) will possibly be released three months early due to good behavior and working credits. The 18-year-old star of Hogan Knows Best was sentenced to eight months in jail for reckless driving.

Brooke Hogan sounded super-supportive when she heard the news of her brother's possible release and told People, "I'm not sure where he'll live. I think he's going to do his own thing." I like how she makes it sound like he can stay anywhere he likes besides the couch in her condo.

Maybe he can crash with his mom and his old buddy.
