Remember when Mel Gibson got arrested for drinking and driving way back in 2006? Well, the Los Angeles police officer who leaked information about the incident will not face charges, due to lack of proof.

Deputy Sheriff James Mee was accused of make public details about the case, which include reports of Gibson's now infamous anti-Semitic and sexist rant. However, prosecutors claim a lack of proof is keeping them from pressing charges.

As for Mel, he's back to work, filming a new movie with Jodie Foster called The Beaver. The two movie stars sat down to a lovely dinner scene together. And yes, that's a beaver puppet on Mel's hand. And no, you don't want to know why.

The women of Hollywood were out in full force at the 2009 Crystal And Lucy Awards honoring women in film. Jennifer Aniston took home the top prize, the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film.

Women in Film is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.

The Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster was not in the mood to act her way out of a speeding ticket when the Beverly Hills Police pulled her over in her Prius.

A truTV camera crew was apparently accompanying the officers to film the series Speeders. Foster refused to sign the release to appear on the show, but it didn't end there, according to Page Six.

"She maintained to the officers that she was only going 30 mph at the time they pulled her over, and she kept interrupting and complaining that the process was taking too long," a source dished to the gossip outlet.

I know this is supposed to be the part where I say, "She's so rich, she should just hush up and pay the ticket," but I so know that feeling. I mean, the cops here in L.A. have side gigs on reality shows. Please.

On Wednesday, AFI took over the Arclight Cinemas to present a full day of classic or signature film screenings. The movies included such iconic gems as American Beauty, The Apartment, The Silence of the Lambs, The Matrix, There's Something About Mary among others.

And to help kick off the event, stars from each of the films showed up. Probably the youngest face in the crowd belonged to Cameron Diaz, who kept it simple with a white button-up shirt and jeans and purse that I'm just going to guess is worth the same as my car. She looks good. Nobody does California casual quite as well as Cammie here.

Her Shrek co-star Mike Myers was also there for his flick Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Jim Carrey and girlfriend Jenny McCarthy were on the red carpet for him to present Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.

Sassy and fabulous Rita Moreno was there and she said that she never tires of watching West Side Story, for which she won an Oscar. "I get into those numbers. When I see America, I go crazy."

Here are some pictures from last year, when Jodie Foster first met Cynthia Mort on the set of The Brave One. According to the National Enquirer, Cynthia is Jodie's new squeeze. This coupling is taking place amidst the announcement of Jodie's split from her parter of 14 years, Cydney Bernard.

Bernard and Foster are still living under the same room, but the bond has been broken, a source dished to the Enquirer. According to the tipster, "They'll continue to raise the boys together and try to keep a loving family unit despite their breakup," however, "the love is gone."

As for Mort, she's coming out of relationship with actress Melanie Mayron, with whom she has two children, and the two have split amicably.

The 14-year relationship between Jodie Foster and movie producer Cydney Bernard that was only recently publicly acknowledged appears to have come to an end. The couple has reportedly been fighting more and more as of late. Only five months prior, Foster mentioned her long-time partner during an acceptance speech for an award.

And in other news, gays can now get married in California. Coincidence? Well, let's just say that it sounds a bit suspect that suddenly, Jodie's biggest excuse for not making an honest woman out of Cydney very disappeared on the same day the two conveniently split.

Is this a big deal? I'm still waiting on Anderson Cooper, Tom Cruise, Wentworth Miller, Johnny Trav, Jeremy Piven, Jodie Foster, Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, and Ellen Page to 'fess up. Who's this bitch? I kid, I kid. it's wonderful. Luke MacFarlane of ABC's Brothers & Sisters has come out.

Luke plays the character of "Scotty" on the drama. Scotty is the boyfriend of Matthew Rhys' gay character "Kevin Walker." The show plans to have them commit to each other in a civil union in an upcoming episode. MacFarlane felt that this was a good time to bust out.

"I don't know what will happen professionally," MacFarlane said. "That is the fear, but I guess I can't really be concerned about what will happen, because it's my truth. ... There is this desire in L.A. to wonder who you are and what's been blaring for me for the last three years is how can I be most authentic to myself - so this is the first time I am speaking about it in this way."

Dude, it's 2008. If the planet doesn't realize that 3/4 of the working actors in Hollywood are as gay as West Side Story, then there's a problem.

Apparently he's banging T.R. Knight. T.R. gets props for that awesome t-shirt. If you need a tour, T, you look me up. I know several public restrooms and various gay-oriented dive bars.

Here are the pictures from the Nim's Island premiere. Did Phoebe Price break in? That hat is all sorts of Florida rest stop, and she looks like she might have ducked a crowd control barrier somewhere. Jodie Foster probably took one look at her stalker-looking ass and thought "is another bitch going to shoot the president for me?" Jodie's had enough stalkers for one lifetime, thanks.

The film stars my newly skeletal girl Jodie Foster as a children's book writer who gets magically dragged to the mysterious island where Abigail Breslin lives. Before you think this is some lesbian coming-of-age deal, Gerard Butler's up in there, too. Hopefully he brought his jock from 300. Otherwise, this sounds like a bore.

Abigail, of Little Miss Sunshine fame, said it was rough at times working in tropical surroundings. Sure, kid.

"But it was also a lot of hard work. I got a huge bug bite on Hinchinbrook [Island]. There were bush rats and tree frogs on the island. They got into peoples rooms. You couldn't even hold the stair railing because there were so many frogs!" she said.

Well, the only bush rat at the premiere is Phoebe. I hope there's a totally awkward moment when Gerard and Jodie make out in the movie. So everyone in the audience can go "yeah, right." I love Jodie, but she needs to do more movies where she makes out with chicks. I think that's her medium.

I guess I should admire the creativity, but things have gotten berserk lately. It is refreshing to see the boys wearing the disaster costumes, though. We've got 50s college professors (Drake Bell and Shia LeBeouf), shell-shocked Vietnam War veterans (Emile Hirsch), and Studio 54 rentboys (Josh Peck). Josh Peck seriously has that Jordache look. Ooh la la!
