Karl Lagerfeld Lets It All Hang Out On Vacation
Woo hoo, y'all! Summer vacation!
Check it out, Karl Lagerfeld's loosening his tie to just kick it on vacation in Saint Tropez. His little buddies look more like walking advertisements than shopping buddies. How much money would you pay to see these two hoist ol' Karl here up for a keg stand? Afterwards, he's sure to be drunk texting Audrey Tatou with half-finished messages like, "auf weedershn, audrey. ur OUT!"
By the way, I'm pretty sure this is his bathing suit.

As far as Chanel couturier, Karl Lagerfeld, is concerned, diminutive French actress Audrey Tautou is so last season. Tatou starred in the latest commercial for No. 5, as well as the film Coco Before Chanel.
However, in a recent interview with Premiere in France, Audrey was asked if she often wears Chanel, she replied, "Sometimes. This morning, I wore the rain boots."
This did not sit well with Lagerfeld, who subsequently joked, "I didn't even know we made rain boots. After that, I don't have to be nice." He then added that he would have preferred Penelope Cruz represent the fashion house. Ooh, that's tantamount to getting a fingerless glove slap to the face.

Spotted: Taylor Momsen Letting Her Fingers Breathe
Making a recovery from the throat infection that sent her to the hospital, Taylor Momsen was strolled through New York City in some Karl Lagerfeld-esque fingerless gloves alongside co-star Connor Paolo.
Perhaps her fashion designer character Jenny Humphrey is imitating the style icon. Or, given Ms. Humphrey's current financial situation, she probably had to sell the fingers to pay for her lunch.
Also, it's interesting to see that little Jenny is apparently palling around with Eric van der Woodsen. With Jenny a bad decision away from living on the streets, she can probably use all the friends she can get.

The 'Influence' Of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen
Teensy fashionista bag-ladies, as I like to call them, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are doing the rounds to promote their interview book Influence. The little women were just on Oprah talking about the candid interviews they had with their idols, who include Diane Von Furstenberg, Karl Lagerfeld and Terry Richardson.
I have to say that this Oprah interview really was a great opportunity to remember that these two 22-year-olds have been working since they were 9 months old. That's an even earlier start than Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and Drew Barrymore had.
Here they are at a book signing for their newly-published tome. I know I'm totally kind of gushing here, but this NY Times article about the girls reminds me that they don't exactly fit the mold of "the sisterhood of young women famous only for their professional apathy."
Gee, whoever could they be talking about? Perhaps any young member of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Panties.

Karl Lagerfeld Shields His Eyes From The Night Of Stars
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's BFF, Karl Lagerfeld put on his best Karl Lagerfeld costume for the 25th annual Night of the Stars and I gotta tell ya, he really nailed it. It's almost as convincing as when Roberto Cavalli did the same thing.
Debra Messing looks like she's almost back down to her Will & Grace weight, but hopefully she'll never get quite that thing again. Girlfriend's collarbone was always so worrisome to me. Speaking of too thin, Allegra Versace (bless her heart) standing next to Marc Anthony is like looking into a caloric black hole. To distract me, I focused on Kerry Washington's intense gaze.
And I never thought I'd say this, but Ashley Olsen actually looks kind of curvy. I totally watched her and her sister's interview on Oprah and kind of fell in love with the Olsen trolls, er twins. Sorry, old habits, you know.

Ashley Olsen Driving Toward Marriage?
The coffee table book that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have put together, compiling interviews with "people who have inspired" them, reveals some telling information about the twins.
For his interview with the girls for Influence, designer Karl Lagerfeld asked if the twins about their plans for marriage and babies. Mary Kate responded, "I don't feel the need to get married. But Ashley wants children. I'll be a great aunt or godmother."
With Ashley seen here leaving Orso with boyfriend Justin Bartha, it could possibly just be a matter of time before an Olsen wedding. Or the way the young stars are doing it these days, she'll probably have the baby first and then get hitched. Yay! Olsen wedding! I can't wait to see what a "bag-lady chic" wedding dress would look like.
