Not taking any chances after her nipple slip at the American Music Awards, Kate Hudson layers it up in Santa Monica. Kate wore a tank top under her loose fitting top on trip to a health and beauty store.

I'm assuming the police escort to her car was to make sure that she kept her nipples in check and not expose herself to the general public once again.

I'm not sure if Kate Hudson didn't think that because she has small breasts that she didn't need to use double-sided tape with her low-cut gown, but she did. When she leaned over to that microphone, she gave the world a view of her right nipple.

She also got a BIG kiss from Alex Rodriguez backstage at the American Music Awards. According to People, after the pair palled around with Fergie in the chilly outdoor backstage area at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, "A-Rod gave Kate a big squeeze to keep her warm," says a source, "and a sweet smooch."

Hudson was, "beaming, glowing actually," adds the source. And perhaps feeling a bit nippy.

However Taylor Swift was not there, but she's apparently incredibly popular. She beat out Michael Jackson to win Entertainer of the Year and took home a total of five American Music Awards.

The highlight of the night for me was Whitney Houston's performance of "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." While the rasp was present throughout the performance, the girl knows how to command a stage. She belted out the performance until she was almost out of breath. It was a powerful moment.



Michel Jackson ended up with four awards. Other multiple winners included hip-hop acts Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas, with two each.

The Black Eyed Peas were named favorite group in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Jay-Z won favorite male artist and favorite album in the rap/hip-hop categories.

Punk rock trio Green Day was named favorite alternative artist. Rascal Flatts won favorite country group for the fourth year in a row.

While on the set of Nine, Kate Hudson watched son, Ryder, become a man, admired Sofia Loren's many talents and brushed up on her maternal banter. 

Director Rob Marshall set up a green room for the ladies to hang out in.  They bonded, bragged talked about their children and formed friendships to last until someone a bit more famous comes along.

Hudson witnessed a very proud moment when Ryder recognized the very essence of beauty.  "I saw Penelope (Cruz) in the lobby today," he told her. "You could see that he recognized what a beautiful woman she is.  He's so cute!"  she gushed to Extra.

One person in particular who caught Hudson's attention was screen legend, Sofia Loren.

"'She's just incredibly elegant and beautiful,' Hudson says. 'And the work she's done, and the people she's worked with. It's like a living legend, an icon!'"

You know what would really jazz up Kate Hudson's casual ensemble for a trip to Raw in Santa Monica, California? How about a $40,000 pink sapphire and diamond ring?

That's what Alex Rodriguez thought when he purchased a pricey Louis Vuitton white-gold ring encrusted in jewels for his girlfriend. The gesture is supposed to be an expensive thank you to Hudson for supporting her main man during his journey to the World Series this year with the New York Yankees.

A source dishes to In Touch magazine, "He has a World Series ring, and now she does, too. It's a beautiful piece of jewelry and very unusual...He clearly knows her style and has great taste...She thought it was such a romantic gesture."

Ooh, you know what would be even more romantic? A painted portrait of Kate as a centaur.

Once again, Kate Hudson has busted out the mascara and pensive poses for a photoshoot for Elle magazine. Dressed in a black one-piece swimsuit and racer gloves, Kate shows off her muscular build in this pictorial. 30-year-old Hudson tells the mag that she had to shed 20 pounds from her already thin frame, in order to play the role of a terminally ill patient who falls in love with her doctor.

As part of her weight-loss program, Kate confesses that she's had to give up alcohol. Hudson tells the mag, "I love my glass of wine. I love tequila. To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage, I'm not sure I've ever done that!"

As for her views on altering her looks surgically, Kate admits that she would have no problem with getting some work done. She gushes, "The fact that women can avoid going under the knife and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I'm glad it's there for when it's time."

Hmm, maybe someone had a little chat with her Nine co-star, Nicole Kidman.

Bundled up and earnestly watching every move taking place on the baseball diamond, Minka Kelly and Kate Hudson are showing their love for the New York Yankees--most specifically, the players each happen to be currently dating.

Kate was there with her stepfather, Kurt Russell, keeping her company as she cheered on her Yankees slugger boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. As for Friday Night Lights actress, Minka Kelly, she was undoubtedly keeping a close watch on her man, Derek Jeter.

With chilly weather and rain drizzling overhead, this is assuredly proof of the devotion these two feel for their flames.

Game Four in the Angels/Yankees ALCS match-up ended with a third win from the Yankees (this means the serious is 3 to 1, Yankees). Third win, AND Alex Rodriguez's third home-run of the series! For all you non-baseball buffs like me, A-Rod was having a rough season, but with this onslaught of homers, has really been shining in the post-season. And like the cool chick she is, Kate Hudson was at every game to cheer her man on.

Kate is so down she even chills with her boy Jay-Z at Yankees games, and when Jay is busy, Kate offers up her spare ticket to her step-dad, Kurt Russell.

Oh well aren't you just the most fun girl ever, Kate Hudson. Guh, I know you (Kate, that is) are denying that you are impregnated with A-Rod's super-baby, but why? Look how fun and flashy your lives are together. On the other hand, as long as the Yankees keep up the good work, I don't care what Kate does.

It's shocking to remember just how many big names in acting are starring in the Rob Marshall movie-musical, Nine. In fact, I had forgotten that Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard, Kate Hudson, Fergie, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and the incomparable Sophia Loren all appear in the splashy, reimagining of Fellini's 8 1/2.

While the film stars Daniel Day Lewis in the main role of Guido, it's easy to get distracted by the gorgeous cast of ladies, all of whom lent their aesthetic talents to this lush photoshoot and interview for Vogue.

The leading ladies had nothing but good things to say about one another, with Penelope gushing about the enjoyable, long meals she shared with Kate Hudson. Nicole Kidman tells the mag, "I had no desire to work after I had my daughter, but to lure me back, this movie was the only way." Well, consider us lured! This thing needs to premiere already!
