To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Regis Philbin's stint on his morning talk show, former co-host, Kathie Lee Gifford, will be joining her old co-worker as a guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly" next month. Gifford hosted the show with Regis for fifteen years before leaving back in 2000. Since then, former soap actress, Kelly Ripa, was selected as Gifford's replacement.

"Our 20th anniversary is a huge milestone for the show," said executive producer Michael Gelman, who Philbin often likes to include in the improvisational Host Chat segment of the show. "Few television shows reach a year on the air, much less two decades. We're proud that we've been able to bring fun, laughter and a positive start to the day to millions of viewers for so many years."

Let's watch as the ladies attempt to out-perk one another, shall we? I have a feeling blood will be shed.

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa remain tight-lipped when it comes to reports that Philbin has plans to step down from the daytime talk show, which he co-hosts with the diminutive perky blonde. Additionally, Kelly has been keeping mum about any possible plans to have Regis pass the torch to her hunky husband, Mark Consuelos. Tommy Garrett of Canyon News reports that an anonymouse source revealed that Consuelos is actually against the idea. After having had spent nearly ten years working with Ripa on-screen on ABC's "All My Children," Mark is of the opinion that the couple's marriage would do much better without the added strain of having to work together. These two are so tiny and adorable, it's distracting to try and write about them without wanting to put them in my pocket and take them home and dress them up in various outfits. Did this just get weird? This just got weird. I'm going to stop typing now.

Daytime talk show host, Regis Philbin, needs to go in to the doctor to have his ticker repaired. In case you didn't know who he was, he's the leprechaun-looking man who's been on "Live with Regis and Kelly" for what feels like forever, and used to host "Who Wants to be a Millionaire." If I sound bitter, it's because he clearly has health insurance and I don't.

In all seriousness, it sounds pretty scary, since it's invasive open-heart surgery, that involves a bypass and cleaning of the arteries and stuff. Reuters reports on the reaction from his co-host, Kelly Ripa, when he announced his upcoming surgery on their daytime talk show.

Ripa sought to reassure her co-host on the air, recalling that her father and uncles had all emerged from similar surgery in fine condition, and she promised to dress up in a nurse's costume and give Philbin a sponge bath while he's recovering.

"That'll be funny. I'll look forward to that," he said.

Ewww...I hope that's not how she helped her father and uncles get over their surgeries. Or maybe I hope it is.

According to Barbara Walters that is.

On Wednesday's "The View," Walters said, "Rosie O'Donnell is one of the kindest, most sensitive people I know. And so is our friend Kelly Ripa. And Rosie and Kelly talked yesterday after the show. Rosie and Clay Aiken have talked. And all is well with the world, and all is well with them."

In case you have been living in a hole for the last week, here's what happened when Clay appeared on "Regis and Kelly" as a cohost:

Aiken covered Ripa's mouth with his hand during an interview on Friday's show. Ripa, 36, pushed his hand away.

"Oh, I'm in trouble," said the 27-year-old "American Idol" star, to which Ripa responded, "No, I just don't -- I don't know where that hand's been, honey."

O'Donnell said Tuesday on "The View": "If that was a straight man, if that was a cute man, if that was a guy that she didn't question his sexuality, she would have said a different thing."

Ripa said O'Donnell misunderstood her remark.

"He's shaking hands with everybody in the audience. I mean, it's cold and flu season. That's what I meant," she said. "And to imply that it's anything homophobic is outrageous, Rosie, and you know better."

"I understand cold and flu season," O'Donnell replied. "I'm just saying from where I sit as a gay person in the world, I have to tell you, that's how it came off to me."

I think we can chalk this up to two people looking at something from a different perspective: as a gay person, and as a mother. Simple as that.

Kelly Ripa wasn't thrilled with Clay Aiken's rolling up on her on her own show last Friday, according to Showbuzz.com

The talk show host went off on Aiken this morning on "Live With Regis and Kelly," saying "I don't think he was respectful in any way." She says Aiken was hostile toward her when they shared co-hosting duties on Friday's show.

She especially took issue with Aiken putting his hands over her mouth during an interview. She says you don't do that, even if it's for a laugh.

Kelly would be even more distressed if she took a look online and read some rumors about where that hand has been, and who it's been up. Ugh. Break out the moist towelettes.
