Jake Gyllenhaal was conspicuously absent for The Cinema Society's screening of his film, Brothers, in New York City. However, in his stead, his co-stars, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire made their way along the red carpet for the event.
Tobey looked sleek in a trim black suit and wife, Jennifer Meyer, on his arm while Natalie opted for a brighter look in a deep violet, short poofy dress, a bright yellow clutch and purple peep-toe pumps.
Of course, the busy actress already has another project lined up. Recently, it was announced that Portman would star in Thor. Natalie explained her reason for considering the role by saying, "I just thought it sounded like a weird idea because Kenneth Branagh's directing it, so I was just like, 'Kenneth Branagh doing Thor is super-weird. I've gotta do it.'"
Speaking of super-weird, I'm still not used to Katharine McPhee's blond hair.
