Oh yes, it's just a quiet night at out the Balans restaurant in SoHo for the always demure Lady Gaga, who stepped out for the evening in a full-body black lace catsuit.

The singer's penchant for the dramatic is never more apparent than in her upcoming Gossip Girl guest spot, according to the pop star herself. Gaga tells MTV News, "I am the narrator behind what is going on with the characters and make the song part of the moment." She adds, "We used these ladders, and I'm falling off ladders. Ladders are kind of a monster symbol about bad luck. And I have this 35-foot-long dress on and these X's, very gothic-inspired."

Gaga claims she was heavily involved in the process of developing her guest role and adds, "They let me do whatever the hell I wanted. It was amazing." She's describing it as a "crazy performance-art piece."

Would we expect anything less?

OK, so maybe the use of "BFF" is premature, but Lady GaGa has admitted that she forged a friendship with pop icon, Madonna--one that she still can't believe exists.

The twosome may have duked it out in a skit on Saturday Night Live, but in reality, the musicians hit it off behind the scenes.

GaGa told Grazia Australia, "I love her, she's always been an idol of mine and she's been so nice to me--I think I can say now that we're friends, which feels a bit weird." Let's hope she can dethrone boring Gwyneth Paltrow from the top slot on Madge's speed-dial.

This woman is seemingly unstoppable. Last night Lady GaGa joined a throng of New York fashionistas at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards, where she accepted the Stylemaker Award, presented by Marc Jacobs. And the singer made an extra special effort not to be outshone on the red carpet.

While her outfit of a black button down shirt worn with bullet bra over the top, hot pants and vertiginous mint-green shoes were outrageous enough, it was GaGa's headwear that really took her look from seriously kooky to absolutely extraordinary.

Remember fashion is not about comfort. Not only did she win an award last night, but she set a record. Lady Gaga became the first artist in the 17-year history of Billboard's Pop Songs chart to notch four No. 1s from a debut album, as "Paparazzi" rises 3-1.

Such a fierce little diva.

Although the lavish Fame Kills tour planned for pop star, Lady GaGa, and hip hop artist, Kanye West, was cut short unexpectedly, fans of the style-obsessed singer shouldn't get too down. That's because GaGa is hard at work on putting together a new tour, for her upcoming album, The Fame Monster.

The Monster Ball kicks off next week and according to the blond popstress, "The theme of monsters is certainly going to be an influence, as well as the theme of evolution and change. It's going to be a truly artistic experience that is going to take the form of the greatest post-apocalyptic house party that you've ever been to."

As for clearing up why her tour with Kanye ended so quickly, GaGa explained, "We're real friends, real friends can make decisions like that, and we wanted to keep the momentum going in terms of pop music staying innovative with hip-hop and R&B, and we really wanted to do it, and it just wasn't the right time."

Can't wait to see what that's going to look like. The wigs alone should be fascinating.

Remember the gay kiss we were teasing on Gossip Girl between Ed Westwick and Neal Bledsoe? Well, Leighton Meester has more details on the upcoming lip-lock, orchestrated her character, Blair Waldorf.

To answer the obvious question on all our minds, Leighton tells MTV News, "No, it's not tied into a threesome...I sort of make the kiss happen. I can tell you that much, and that's it."

If that weren't enough excitement for one season, Meester also divulged some details about Lady GaGa's upcoming appearance on the CW series. "She just makes a cameo performance, and we talk about her for awhile. But, yeah, we all have a storyline where we put on a cabaret with her songs. You'll have to wait and see," Leighton explains.

Can't wait to see what outlandish outfit GaGa puts on to make sure she's the trendiest-dressed character on-screen.

What a perfect way to start off the week. Check out Lady Gaga's new single "Bad Romance."

The song is part of Ga's upcoming album The Fame Monster. It's an expanded rerelease of her debut album. It will be available in stores on November 23.

The inevitable pairing of pop mistresses, Lady Gaga and Beyonce Knowles, has finally taken place and under the shroud of secrecy. Life & Style reports that earlier this month, the two ladies met up for a highly covert meeting at a studio in NYC.

Their mission? To film the music video for Beyonce's upcoming single, "Video Phone." An inside source dished to the mag, "Beyonce wears a feathered dress. And of course Lady Gaga wears something wild. The fashion is sick and insane."

I'm not a math whiz, but I do know know this. Sasha Fierce + Lady GaGa should definitely = fabulousness.

Lady Gaga performed Saturday night at the Human Rights Campaign's 13th Annual National Dinner. The singer performed John Lennon's "Imagine" for the gay rights group after an address by President Barack Obama.

President Obama joked to the crowd "It's a privilege to open tonight for Lady Gaga. I've made it." Lady Gaga acknowledged Obama's acknowledgment and stood up to applause.

Earlier today, Ga addressed the crowds in a speech at the march's rally on Sunday (see the video of Lady Gaga at the march after the jump). The rally was carried live on C-Span and cable channel Logo went dark in honor of the march.

If Lady Gaga can battle it out with Madonna, then Lady Gaga can do about anything. The singer will be hitting the streets of Washington D.C. this weekend to lead the National Equality March in Washington, slated for Oct 10-11 and has called upon all Americans to join her in the struggle against inequality.

"On October 10 and 11 I will be in Washington, D.C. to lend my support to the National Equality March. This march is a call to action for all people from all over the country to gather to march to be visible as one and to speak out and demand full equal rights for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered citizens in all 50 states.

"If we see ourselves as free and equal people, then we need to act as free and equal people. Now is the time to act so get your ass to D.C. and lend your support. Lend your voice and demand to be heard. I hope to see you there."

I can't wait to see what she wears. I'm thinking we probably won't see her in one of these outfits from this Markus Klinko & Indrani photoshoot.
