It was a windy day at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, but if you were a celebrity, or had a really good publicist, this is where you were at last night. The premiere of Michael Jackson's This Is It was where all of Hollywood was.

Director Kenny Ortega said the film's goal was to "tell a story for the fans."

Creating the film "was powerful. There was laughter, there were tears," Ortega said. "This is not the journey that we thought we'd be on, but we had to do this for the fans. This has been very healing."

Michael's brothers -- Marlon, Randy, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie -- walked the red carpet to support the film, which they said they had not yet seen.

"This is what Michael would like to share, his work. He'd be most proud," Jermaine said. "I want the film to show that with hard work and dedication you can achieve anything."

Everybody remembers when Anna Nicole Smith died of drug related complications shortly after the birth of her daughter, and the huge custody battle over the little girl, but it seems that little Dannielynn Birkhead is doing well and a happy little girl with daddy Larry. OK! Magazine got an exclusive interview with the Larry right after Dannielynn's third birthday on September 7. Kinda brilliant on Larry's part, right? As they put it, Larry and Dannielynn "are living proof that love can triumph over tragedy."

On 3-year-old Dannielynn: "It seems only weeks ago I was bringing her home and now all this time has gone by and she's bigger and wiser and such a great kid."

On how she's like mommy: "I have photos where they look exactly the same. She loves posing for the camera like Anna, too. And she's going to be tall like her mommy."

On daddy life: "It's hard work and time consuming but it's worth it when I hear her laugh. All my friends are out in bars, but I don't miss it. In fact, I'm morphing into my parents -- I've become corny and sensible."

On missing Mommy Anna: "She misses her mom so much. Right now she's at the age where she's noticing that other children in television and in books have moms. She said to me the other day quite seriously, "Where's my mom?" It was sad but I explained to her, "Your mommy is in the clouds and you'll see her again one day." She knows who her mom is, though -- I make sure of that. Our home is filled with photos of Anna and recognizes her straight away."

From the looks of it, she is quite an adorable little girl and she looks incredibly happy with her dad. Larry says that he wants to be her shield and keep her from worrying about the nasty things. Aww cute. As the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, I'm pretty positive that she's going to have to deal with a lot of nasty. I'm just hoping she stays off the celebrity path. That very rarely works out well.

Ah, the Kentucky Derby. I could care less about horse racing. It's the celebrities in their enormous decorated hats that have captured my imagination. Of course, everyone's supposed to look ridiculous, but my personal favorite is reality TV star Bethenny Frankel. The hat itself is the most mundane part with her wearing a strange pantsuit, a lollipop in one hand and a smile.

Brooke Shields wore a fetching, white dress with a plunging neck line and a what looks like a layer of blue cake atop her head. Effing fabulous. Of course, there had to be a representative from Team Kardashian in the house with Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner dressed in complementary black-and-white mother-and-daughter ensembles.

But the best is always seeing Larry Birkhead. He met Anna Nicole Smith at this event so many years ago and damned if he isn't determine to find someone new to impregnate.

Larry Birkhead's little girl earns her keep by looking cute while he once again offers to spill his guts to the highest bidder. Entertainment Tonight and The Insider will be showing an interview with Larry talking about Dannielynn's first visit to her mother and brother's grave in the Bahamas. According to Larry, the tombstones aren't yet finished because he wasn't happy with the artwork he was given, "A rough draft came back with a sketch of a picture I didn't care for. I could just hear her hitting me over the head saying, 'Why did you let that picture go down!?'"

I like when Larry channels Anna. I wonder if he ever jokingly says, "If she saw me right now, she'd probably smile and say, 'You sonofabitch, I thought I told you to stay away from Dannielynn.' That was just her way of telling me she loved me and wanted me in our baby's life."

How did one half of Details magazine's Father of the Year for 2007 (or whatever the title was) spend his New Year's Eve? It would appear he was searching for his future baby-mama at the LAX nightclub in Vegas. Or at least that's how it would look to suspicious eyes like the ones in my head. I know some might argue that even a single dad like Larry would deserve a night off from the tiny little piggy-bank he's raising oh-so-stoically, but seriously, does he have to be such an obvious publicity whore? Also, it looks like he was at the same soiree as Paris and Nicky Hilton, along with Kevin Federline. Oh lord, you just know those two men were probably running after the Hilton girls like men possessed, desperately trying to figure out ways to very discreetly impregnate them with tiny little dividends. It's only fair--they have lifestyles to which they have grown accustomed, dammit!

"Oh my gosh! How EVER did you guys figure out that I was going to be here?" Larry Birkhead sat down with ABC to do an interview for Barbara Walters' annual "10 Most Fascinating People of 2007" special, unaware that he was only a candidate and wouldn't necessarily end up on the final list. And when the names of the top ten--minus the number one spot--was released, Larry simply assumed he was the remaining fascinating person. A source revealed to the New York Daily News, "Larry even let the paparazzi know he'd be out shopping in L.A. on Thursday for Dannielynn [his daughter with the late Anna Nicole Smith], because he thought the papers were going to need fresh pictures of him." It seems that having potent sperm simply isn't enough to make a person worth interviewing. Just ask K-Fed or Flavor Flav.

How come he carries the little one like he wants to make sure the photographers capture her image totally? That's weird. Is that part of the deal? Or several deals? I'm not saying you should go full on Michael Jackson baby in a burka but hold the kid like a human, weirdo. Here's Larry Birkhead taking his daughter Dannielynn out for some shopping on Robertson Blvd. in LA. and then posing in front of their house. As you'll recall, Dannielynn is the daughter and half-sister of the deceased Anna Nicole and Daniel Smith. And she was the Wonka golden ticket in a paternity squabble between Birkhead and Anna's shady lawyer/pill carrier Howard K. Stern (whom it was alleged had actually banged Birkhead at one point). Kind of a sordid story, huh? Birkhead's DNA won out, and now he's got his daughter and what appears to be several lucrative photo deals with the rags judging by the way he's practically adjusting the lighting on her himself.

Larry Birkhead is close to signing a deal to bring a reality show about being a single Dad of a dead mess' baby to the TV screen. He already got 1.7 million for pictures of this little kid, how much more does Redken cost?

"I don't want to give away something yet," Birkhead told us yesterday. "It's basically the 'day in the life of daddy duties.'

"The truth is, people came to me with pitches, and I haven't accepted anything. It's something they continue to talk to me about. It's multiple networks. I'm listening to what they have to say. I turned down ["Celebrity Rap Superstar"].

Can I interrupt to say that I won't be watching "Celebrity Rap Superstar" even if they get Lil' Kim to host it? God, much too much. They'll put any old shit on TV nowadays. The only way I'm going to watch is if Remy Ma gets to pull a gun out of her bag and shoot the losers. End digression. Birkhead was also asked about reports that he didn't deposit all the money from "OK!" into Danni's account like he said he would. He basically said mine your P's and Q's, bitches. And probably ran his fingers through his sassy cut, and gorgeous highlights.
