The Avon Foundation for Women Awards Gala attracted a host of well-dressed Hollywood ladies for the event, including the always impeccably-dressed and longtime Avon supporter, Reese Witherspoon.

My girl Suze Orman was looking fabulous with her signature blonde do and blinding white smile in her tuxedo-style suit. Looking good, Suze! Courteney Cox also wore black, in a layered, strapless dress.

Fergie opted for an interesting look, with her now dark hair and a serious expression on her face. I'm not sure how I feel about the feathers, but it is certainly an interesting look.

Expecting mother, Paula Patton, looked the most striking in her bright yellow, toga-style dress and high-heel, gold gladiator sandals.

OK, so here's to hoping that Pamela Anderson was simply attending the 6th Annual Hollywood Life Style Awards and not being recognized for her fashion choices over the past year. The blond pinup showed up to the event in what looks like a giant, light-pink satin sheet that was attacked by a gang of alley cats.

Other starlets in attendance opted for a more classic look. Heroes stars, Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto were appropriately stylish with the on-screen cheerleader donning a fetching lavender mini dress and the Star Trek star looking dapper in an all-black suit and blue tie.

Kim Kardashian showed of her curvaceous figure in a clingy, white dress. In a black, 80s-retro mini-dress, Disney Channel star, Selena Gomez looked polished and pretty. Katie Cassidy from Melrose Place looked regal in her up-swept hairdo.

Having left The Hills behind, Lauren Conrad is squelching any talk that she plans to return to either the big or small screens. When she was asked by People magazine, whether or not she would consider starring in a movie version of her book, L.A. Candy, Conrad scoffed at the idea.

The 23-year-old reality TV star confesses, "I think my acting is offensive!" The fledgling designer adds, "I'm an awful actor, I'm not super comfortable with it. In fact I was just trying to do lines ... and they'll tell you, I cannot memorize lines." However, she does admit she'd consider making a brief cameo.

And the production company producing the movie is none other than Temple Hill Entertainment, who also does the Twilight movies. However, she confesses she has yet to meet Robert Pattinson. As for a set visit, LC says, "That hasn't been discussed...yet. I feel like I need to wait." For what? An engraved invitation? Get on that, girl!

Although Kristin Cavallari might be receiving the focus of MTV's "The bitch is back" marketing campaign for the latest season of The Hills, it's actually Audrina Patridge, Lauren Bosworth and Heidi Montag who are taking home the biggest bucks.

According to The Daily Beast, the three ladies is making $100,000 per episode, almost equal to Lauren Conrad's rate of $125,000 per episode. However, Cavallari isn't far behind, with a reported $90,000 per episode listed as her fee.

One comforting fact is that Spencer Pratt is only making $65,000 per show. You know, ONLY.

It was sparkles and glamour on the red carpet at this years young crop of Diva's at VH1's Divas Live concert. The ladies showed how there is no age limit for a diva. Kathy Griffin gave some advice to the up-and-comers.

On-the-way-up stars "had better grow a nice thick skin -- and also stay thin," comedian Kathy Griffin suggests. "That's essential in Hollywood: thick skin and thin bodies."

Does America really embrace crap that easily? Lauren Conrad's debut novel, L.A. Candy, has topped the New York Times Best Seller list two weeks in a row.

She told People, "If someone said to me five years ago when this all started that I would one day make the New York Times Best Seller list I wouldn't have believed it. I am so honored that it is now a reality. It was such a compliment to be included in something with such established names."

Good news for all of you that purchased her novel which is loosely based on Lauren's own life, this is the first book in a three-book deal.

Bookstress Lauren Conrad is celebrating the launch of the first of three books as a result of her deal with Harper Collins.

The reality TV star unveiled her tome, L.A. Candy, at an event sponsored by Sunglass Hut and Vogue Eyewear. The pivotal character is Jane Roberts, whose personality is typified with a charming innocence and trusting nature. She and her outspoken best friend since childhood, Scarlett, move to Los Angeles and quickly find themselves the focus of a reality TV show.

Sound familiar? Well, it should, since the whole thing is based not-so-loosely on Lauren's stint on Laguna Beach and The Hills. I'm wondering how many phrases exist to express "staring off absently into the distance." Guess I'll just have to read the book to find out!
