There were numerous memorable performances of the evening, but probably my favorite would be "All in Love is Fair" between Stevie Wonder and youngun, Jennifer Hudson. Pared down with a simple piano and microphones, the duo delivered a goosebump-inducing rendition of the song.
Additionally, Kanye West,Kid Cudi, the Virgins and Janelle Monae also performed along with DJ Mark Ronson taking his place at the turntables. It looks like it must have been quite the shindig.
Kanye and his fellow futuristic fashionista girlfriend, Amber Rose, showed up together, both wearing all-black. Amber made herself look like a Cosmo magazine "don't" with her solid black sunglasses.

The marquee spelled out Lola (Anthony's nickname for Lopez) in gold embossing, the first hint that a fete was in store for the diva. After climbing from their car, the actress burst into tears of surprise as barricaded fans shrieked for her.
Jennifer looked stunning in a Grecian dress as she signed autographs before entering her own party. Alex O'Loughlin, Gayle King, Guadalupe Lopez, LA Reid, Leah Remini, Lisa Lopez, Liza Minnelli and Ricky Martin were among those helping Lopez celebrate turning 40.

The 63rd annual Tony Awards opened with a bang! It was a star-studded musical number that starred Dolly Parton, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, the casts of West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Pal Joey, Shrek, 9 to 5: The Musical, Next to Normal, Rock of Ages and Billy Elliot and finished off with a love-in: a rousing rendition of "Let the Sun Shine" from the new best-revival production of Hair.
There was one big glitch during the telecast, Rock of Love reality star Bret Michaels - who performed with his band Poison along with the cast of Broadway's Rock of Ages - ran into a piece of scenery when he missed his mark after performing Poison's hit "Nothin' But a Good Time." He was knocked to the ground. Oops.
Billy Elliot, composer Elton John's adaptation of director Stephen Daldry's 2000 film about a boy who lives to dance, sweeping the night as best musical and winning 10 Tonys in all - while French dramatist Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage was named best play. Other winning highlights from the award show were when Liza Minnelli beat Will Ferrell for Best Special Theatrical event, she referred to the funnyman as "her lovely man."
"I'm crazy about Will Ferrell," she told us in the press room. "He's so charming and so talented. I watch his films all the time. They've taken me all over the world."
Angela Lansbury, who won for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Blithe Spirit, felt "about two feet off the ground" upon winning her award, she told the press room just before joking that the fifth Tony statuette would finally fill a void on her shelf.

On Thursday, Amy Poehler returns to television in her primetime series Parks and Recreation. They 37-year-old former Saturday Night Live cast member recently chatted with The Advocate about her love of all things gay.
On a recent night out with some buddies from SNL including Rachel Dratch and Kristen Wiig to see Liza Minnelli perform in New York, Amy insisted that Liza bless her pregnant friend's baby to be gay friendly. To this, Liza responded by singing to the unborn child, "What good is sitting alone in your womb? Come hear the music play!" Can we just have a moment of silence to recognize how amazing Liza is and always will be?
Amy also joked about being confused with another famous, petite blond. When she was asked whether or not she'd run into any drag performers impersonating her, she sadly replied no.
However, she did say, "I just hope people keep mistaking me for Lady GaGa. Christina Aguilera may steal a lot of Lady GaGa's style, but Lady GaGa steals a lot of my jokes, and a lot of people don't know that."

Everyone's always talking about "young Hollywood" and throwing lavish parties for the young, naturally wrinkle-free starlets who look as if they had just walked out of the womb right onto the red carpet.
Well, to give props to those celebrities who have a lifetime of experience under their girdles, we're taking a moment to salute them. So many of these young whippersnappers have forgotten that even though these stars all qualify for Early Bird Specials, they're still kicking!
So while the flashes in the pan come and go, we'll just be here loving on Liza Minnelli.
