Celebrtities Rocked The Kasbah [PHOTO GALLERY]

Share

We posted photos of Lindsay Lohan attending Richard Branson's Rock the Kasbah event already, but there were many more celebrities in attendance.

Rock The Kasbah was held at the former Vibiana Cathedral in downtown LA and was described as an evening of 'exotic Moroccan meets old Hollywood glamour'.

Guests such as Paula Abdul, Kristin Cavarlli, Gavin Rossdale, Jenna Elfman, Sharon Stone, Richard Branson, Daisy Fuentes, Lindsay Price, Matt Goss, Charlotte Ross, Steven Strait and Lynn Collins were treated to a lavish dinner, auction and a performance by Estelle and Natasha Bedingfield before dancing until the early hours.

Proceeds from the night go to Branson's Virgin charities and the Eve Branson Foundation, run by Richard Branson's mother, which helps Moroccan women set up small businesses to support their families.

Tickets for the event went for between $750 per person to $15,000 for a V.I.P. table for ten.

Green Celebrities Celebrate NRDC's 20th Anniversary

Share

Leonardo DiCaprio has made no secret that his number one passion is (besides acting, of course) saving the environment. The Prius-driving actor stepped out to help the National Resources Defense Council celebrate its 20th Anniversary.

On a side note, the actor will soon be teaming up with Batman film director Christopher Nolan in his new project Inception. But DiCaprio claims it's just a small part, "I think I'll work about three days. It'll be extraordinary, wait until you see this one. I think if I say another word he's going to kill me!"

Another usual A-list suspect at these types of environmental events is Cameron Diaz. The actress is eagerly awaiting rewrites for the Tom Cruise romantic comedy tentatively entitled Wichita, but is keeping herself busy in the meantime with a legal comedy, Bobbie Sue. Can't wait for her courtroom pratfalls!

Gallery Info: Leonardo Dicaprio, Cameron Diaz, Tom Ford, Jon Hamm, Leah Remini, Heather Graham, Heather Thomas, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gloria Reubens, Lisa Kudrow, Christine Lahti, Sharon Lawrence, Rosanna Arquette, Natasha Bedingfield, Poppy Montgomery, Amber Valetta, Amy Smart, Ed Begley Jr, Maroon 5 and Chelsea Handler at the National Resources Defense Council 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Natasha Bedingfield Marries Matthew Robinson In Fairytale Wedding

Share

So low-key about her relationship with her boyfriend, Natasha Bedingfield pretty much tricked me into forgetting that she was even engaged until I learned that she'd married the guy this weekend.

Accompanied by 150 guests, four bridesmaids, one flower girl, and about a hundred roses, the British pop diva wed businessman Matthew Robinson on Saturday. Our sometimes fashion-challenged bride wore a strapless Vera Wang gown and a crisp white veil. So there is hope for her after all!

The 30-minute ceremony took place on a grassy hill overlooking the ocean just before sunset, which basically sounds like the best wedding ever. Except for the absence of bungee jumping.  Taking the plunge isn't complete without a little added adrenaline boost.

Z100's Jingle Ball Concert Roundup

Share

Along with music golden couple Rihanna and Chris Brown, there were plenty of artists to make this year's Z100 Jingle Ball rock pop. While Lady GaGa, Katy Perry and Natasha Bedingfield had fun onstage, it was the boys who got the night going.

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta was all innocent, boyish grins and awestruck gratitude over how much fans love him. Which, judging by shrieks and declarations of love, is a lot. Had there been a scream meter, 21-year-old Jesse McCartney would have broken it.

The night ended with Ne-Yo, who capped off the night's festivities with an ultra-smooth set. He performed his hits "Because of You," "Single," and the fan favorite "Closer."

Featured in the gallery: David Archuleta, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Kanye West, Katie Couric, Natasha Bedingfield, Jesse McCartney, Nick Lachey, Ne-Yo, Katie Perry, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Origliasso, Lisa Origliasso, Brody Jenner, Brandy, Lady GaGa and Hayley Williams.

2008 American Music Awards: X-Tina Kicks Off Performances

Share

As promised, Christina Aguilera busted out her medley of hits to open the American Music Awards. Starting off with "Beautiful," the petite singer quickly launched into her dance-track "Keeps Getting Better" and the rest of her biggest hits. The tiny singer somehow managed to launch into a costume change for each new song. She's another one with enviable energy. Her lipstick is made of espresso beans.

Dressed simply in a long, fitted black dress, Mariah Carey looked glamorous as she performed and accepted her award for breaking Elvis Presley's record of most number one hits. The singer crooned "I Stay In Love," wind machine and all.

Annie Lennox, old school popstress showed the young ones how it's done with her short white-blonde pixie cut, looking like Pink's fairy godmother in a long black dress. Those two need to collaborate.

Birthday girl Miley Cyrus looked as if being on stage is exactly where she wanted to be on her special day and as always, Kanye West did his futuristic bit on stage.

Featured in the gallery: Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Natasha Bedingfield, Pink, Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Sarah McLachlan, Kathleen Battle, Alica Keys, Queen Latifah, Leona Lewis, Ne-Yo, New Kids on the Block and Miley Cyrus.

Red Carpet Ladies: 2008 American Music Awards

Share

It was clear from the dresses being worn by the female talent on the red carpet for the American Music Awards last night that metallic prints are very big right now. Leona Lewis looked like a human cocoon in her reflective, ivory-colored gown sparkling with beading. Ashley Tisdale rocked a mini-dress that appeared to be the silver companion to Miley Cyrus' gold sleeveless sheath dress.

However, Jordin Sparks and Alicia Keys opted instead for bright, rich colors for their gowns. The American Idol winner looked flirty, yet age-appropriate in a short yellow frock. And Alicia Keys struck a dramatic pose in her purple, one-shoulder gown sparkling with details all along the bodice and shoulder.

All in all, everybody--except for the usual suspects of Bai Ling (who looked like a Power Rangers villain) and Phoebe Price (whose dress was actually kind of sweet, except seriously, what is her purpose there???)--looked pretty good.

Even the Pussycat Dolls were dressed pretty demurely in short, but appropriate dresses. They were probably wearing their church clothes.

Featured in the gallery: Jordin Sparks, Brigitte Nielsen, Sarah Chalke, Natasha Bedinfield, Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Silverman, Christina Augilera, Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, Rachel Zoe, Pink, Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Ann Inaba, Ali Landry, Nicole Scherzinger, Toccara Jones, Shailene Woodley, Leona Lewis, Candis Cayne, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Kat Von D, Alicia Keys, Phoebe Price, Demi Lovato, Bai Ling, Omarosa Stallworth and Queen Latifah.

Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield & Chris Brown Rehearse For AMAs

Share

Keeping it stylish yet casual for rehearsals, stars who will be performing during the American Music Awards this weekend got in their first day of practicing their acts at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Rihanna looked like a sexy Greaser, with her shiny black pompadour, sunglasses, plaid shirt and tight dark-wash denim jeans. Natasha Bedingfield was being taken away, a wind machine making her hair go flying.

As for Chris Brown, he was wearing argyle and keeping it simple.
