Toni Braxton kept it simple yet sexy in a simple black dress that showed off plenty of leg and gave a sneak peek of torso. Star of V, Morena Baccarin, also looked super-sexy in her patent-leather black heels and curve-hugging dress with a plunging neckline and all of it with a sweet pixie haircut and mysterious smile.

That is a whole lot of furry-looking turquoise Phoebe Price is wearing to the American Music Awards and I'm just wondering how many ostriches had to die for that coat of hers. I'm also not a fan of the black ankle boots Melody Thornton chose to pair with her clingy white dress.

Holy crap! Petite former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, is wearing a dress that is almost as big as she is! The pop star selected a strapless, black dress with a mermaid-tail that trailed behind her as she made her way down the red carpet.

While she kept it simple with her medium-length, wavy curls, she showed off a hand completely covered in sparkly bandles and rings. Is that actually a fingerless glove of jewels? Interesting.

It certainly looks like the premiere of Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire was the place to be last night, with Mary J. Blige singing to celebrate the event. Oprah Winfrey looked tickled pink as she mixed and mingled with director, Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry and Gabourey Sidibe.

I have to admit, Star Jones, actually looked damn good in her jewel-toned, deep blue dress. Another lady stepping out in a bold color was Garcelle Beauvais, whose frock matched the red carpet, as well as the gown worn by the film's big star, Gabourey Sidibe.

Gabourey's co-star, Mo'Nique looked fabulous in her sparkly gold, strapless gown. The actress is getting rave reviews for her performance in the film and will most likely be walking down the red carpet for the Oscars. She better keep her calendar free this awards season.

We posted photos of Lindsay Lohan attending Richard Branson's Rock the Kasbah event already, but there were many more celebrities in attendance.

Rock The Kasbah was held at the former Vibiana Cathedral in downtown LA and was described as an evening of 'exotic Moroccan meets old Hollywood glamour'.

Guests such as Paula Abdul, Kristin Cavarlli, Gavin Rossdale, Jenna Elfman, Sharon Stone, Richard Branson, Daisy Fuentes, Lindsay Price, Matt Goss, Charlotte Ross, Steven Strait and Lynn Collins were treated to a lavish dinner, auction and a performance by Estelle and Natasha Bedingfield before dancing until the early hours.

Proceeds from the night go to Branson's Virgin charities and the Eve Branson Foundation, run by Richard Branson's mother, which helps Moroccan women set up small businesses to support their families.

Tickets for the event went for between $750 per person to $15,000 for a V.I.P. table for ten.

Not only is the Twilight movie still being enthusiastically pored over by obsessed fans and now the film is getting critical recognition. Well, at least the music is. The tween vampire flick's soundtrack is one of a list of nominees for the 37th annual American Music Awards.

And who better to take to the stage for such an occasion than the raven-haired American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert? This will be the first time the singer will be performing since his appearance on the reality TV competition show yet before his album is prepped to drop.

Michael Jackson has received five post-martum nominations and Eminem has snagged four. As for the most nominated performer, Taylor Swift has six to her credit meaning that Kanye West probably has a busy night ahead of him.

Well Paula Abdul can rest a little easier knowing that it wasn't Chuck Liddell who went home last night on Dancing With the Stars. Paula sat in the audience next to Lance Bass the other night, and ET's Marie Osmond chatted with her.

Her days of criticizing Simon Cowell are behind her, but the "Dancing" panel is fresh blood for Paula. She told Marie, "I don't understand the scoring system. I think things were a little blurry and out of whack tonight."

She expressed her support for Mark Dacascos and his partner Lacey Schwimmer. She said, "I think to set the stage, this was one of the best numbers I've seen and I'm going on record saying that."

Is Paula interested in competing on a future season of Dancing with the Stars? She expressed concern that if she were partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, he would make fun of her dance technique from her background in cheerleading.

One thing I will make fun of is that Paula is shown her in these photos carrying a bottle of BORBA which is a drinkable skin care product. You wasted your money sweetie.

Former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, reminded the audience at the 2009 VH1 Divas Live special that she's still got it, launching into a medley of her greatest hits (check out that video after the jump..

During the performance, Abdul wowed the audience with a splashy dance number, showing off her fit figure. In addition, at one point during the evening, Abdul shimmied through the audience, doing a spot-on impersonation of Ellen DeGeneres up to the stage.



As for the rest of the performers who made their way to the event in their finest evening wear, it was a powerhouse of a lineup with Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Melissa Etheridge, India.Arie, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Leona Lewis, Cyndi Lauper and Miley Cyrus.

As for young Jordin Sparks, she showed off some lighter, wavy locks on stage. Someone's lightening up for the summer.

The former American Idol host has landed a hosting gig. Paula Abdul will be hosting cable network VH1's concert special VH1 Divas.

VH1 is reviving the Divas brand after a four-year hiatus. Performers include Adele, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus and American Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks.

It's a start I guess, but I don't think this is they kind of job Paula had in mind when she left American Idol.

I love the Jonas Brothers. I kind of love American Idol. I guess this is a match made in television ratings heaven. It was confirmed today the middle brother Joe Jonas is going to be hitting the Idol trail as a guest judge during the auditions round for American Idol season nine.

Joe is going to be just one of the many guest judges lined up to fill Paula Abdul's place that was left suddenly vacant when she decided not to return to the show. Other celeb judges include Victoria Beckham, who we are told has finished up her stint after two cities, Katy Perry and possibly former Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. Although the details on Kelly are a little sketch.

Personally, I don't know why they picked Joe to be the guest judge. I fee like they should have picked Nick Jonas since he is really the brains behind the whole JoBro operation. They probably picked Joe cause he's kinda the "lead singer." See that would make sense. Plus he's pretty to look at. And he's single now, so all the teenage girls can watch the episode and pretend that he is talking to them. I wish Kevin Jonas would talk to me. Damn him for being engaged!

I'm kinda really excited about this episode though. I'm not even that into Idol anymore and I know for a fact that I will be sitting in front of the television with my bowl of popcorn ready for Joe to pop up on my screen. Anyone else excited about watching Joe and Simon Cowell attempt to banter? Or Joe and Randy Jackson? At least I hope they do. Or Joe and . That could be really funny as well. Ahh, gotta love the Idol.
