The hunky Eric Bana and the exquisite Rachel McAdams play star-crossed lovers whose lives intersect across a lifetime in The Time Traveler's Wife, based on the best-selling Audrey Niffenegger novel. They hit the red carpet in New York City for the premiere of the film.

Rachel talked to Entertainment Tonight about time travel being a crucial element of the plot, but it was the timeless romance of the story that hooked her.

"I love 'Back to the Future' -- if I had to pick a time-travel film that was pretty great, that would be it. But I didn't have an intense fascination with time travel [before making the movie]. It was more that I read the book and time travel was just a unique element of a really great love story."

"I just saw it as a device to arrange these two characters [who are] apart who are really wanting to be together," agrees Eric, "and it was very moving as a result."

It's been quite some time since Rachel McAdams filmed The Notebook with Ryan Gosling--in fact, here she is working on a new movie with 50 Cent. The two are filming scenes on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for their movie, Morning Glory.

But Rachel recently heard news that the movie that helped launch her career will be revisited on the Broadway stage as a musical. When Access Hollywood chatted with the actress, they informed her of the news.

McAdams reacted with surprise and said, "I would go see that. I'm curious. I can't imagine how that would work out, but I would love to see it." Ooh, maybe Fiddy could somehow get involved. That would be wonderfully weird.

I would personally like to thank the person that decided to make a film with Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams that is directed by Guy Ritchie. I guess the person I should be thanking is the producer of the film Sherlock Holmes, which has all of that!

The producer, Robert's wife Susan Downey, tells Starpulse, "[Guy Ritchie] did an amazing job, on a scale that no one's seen him work on before. He delivered. I think it's going to surprise people." Surprise me! I'm so ready to be surprised.

Guy Ritchie is mostly known in America for his violence and camera work in films like Snatch and RocknRolla, as well as his marriage to Madonna. That was a fun marriage while it lasted. Susan also says, "You'll see the flare and you'll see Guy's touch on it, but it's a whole different canvas."

Warner Brothers is getting ready to show some never before seen footage at San Diego's Comic Con this week, with Guy, Robert, and the rest of the cast there for a panel discussion. The film opens this Christmas, so I think we all know what Santa is bringing for the world! A sequel!

In Morning Glory, hitting theatres July 30, 2010, Rachel McAdams plays a hotshot producer trying to save her failing morning show anchored by Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton. No idea who Jeff Goldblum plays, but really, does it matter?

And from what I can tell from these pictures, it looks like there will be plenty of arguing between Harrison and Rachel. Yay!!!!!

A trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes displays all the trademark elements of the filmmaker's directorial style. A fast pace, exchanges of clever quips and silly situations typify this video clip for the upcoming film.



The genre-defining character of Sherlock Holmes is played by a quick-tongued Robert Downey Jr. who is at various points engaged in shirtless hand-to-hand combat, infuriating his buttoned-down cohort Watson (played by Jude Law) and getting himself handcuffed to a bed by a sexy vixen Irene Adler (played by Rachel McAdams).

All in all, the movie looks like a fun ride and quite possibly a triumphant on-screen return for Ritchie, who could use a pick-me-up after a several months of divorcing from Madonna.

Spotted on the streets of New York City, Rachel McAdams and Josh Lucas were spotted heading back to their Midtown Manhattan hotel this morning after apartment shopping together, leading to speculation that they're looking for a Big Apple pad to share.

I guess Rachel has truly moved on from Ryan Gosling.

Taking home the prize for Breakthrough Performer of the Year at ShoWest, Zac Efron took it upon himself to explain exactly why he had chosen to back out of starring in the Footloose remake.

"I'm sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge, but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That's what's always going to appeal to me: the unknown," the High School Musical star told Entertainment Weekly. No big surprises there.

Rachel McAdams, who stars in State of Play, was awarded Female Star of the Year and Dennis Quaid was her male counterpart, winning Male Star of the Year.

But before you get too excited over the recognition they received, keep in mind that Sorority Row cast mates Audrina Patridge and Rumer Willis were presented with the Stars of Tomorrow awards. So that kind of makes it sound like you can probably find these trophies in the 99 cent store discount bin.

Here's a look at the couples who just couldn't make the love last in 2008.

Crackheads (let's not mince words) Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil seemed like two junkies that had it all. But when Fielder-Civil decided not to inform his beloved that he would be spending the remainder of his 27 month prison sentence in a rehab facility, the crack rock split. A German model also allegedly had something to do with the end of their drug love. Winehouse reportedly refused to pay for his rehab, and began telling people that they were over. Fielder-Civil failed a drug test and was sent back to the pokey.

VD factory Paris Hilton and the less charming of the Madden brothers (and that's saying something) Benji ended their nine-month relationship last month because the general public public just couldn't take having to stomach the image of the two of them having sex anymore.

Brooding actor Ryan Gosling and his go-to girl Rachel McAdams ended it AGAIN this year. The Notebook stars got back together this summer for another try and were photographed having a kissy breakfast in Canada. Apparently they can't get their schedules to gel, or they realized that after the sex is over they really hate each other.

Boring piece of toast Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood, and the young actress he transformed into his ex-wife Dita Von Teese, ended whatever the creepy Lolita/"I can't get over my ex-wife" thing they had going on. Supposedly, he was too controlling, but Wood said that wasn't the case.

Anne Hathaway had to jettison her boyfriend of four years, Rafaello Follieri, after she realized the Feds were on to his highly illegal investment scheme. She did it right before he got pinched because dumping a guy in an orange jumpsuit seems kind of cruel.

And the biggest split of all this year had to have been between Madonna and Guy Ritchie in October. The public at large saw it coming. They were married for close to eight years and you could see how much living with her was slowly draining the life out of him. The 76 million should serve to rejuvenate him, though.

Rachel McAdams had some off time from the set of divorce champion Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes so she bundled up in cute coat/horrible hat ensemble and took some time to explore London.

McAdams is playing the female lead Irene Adler in the flick, and photographers captured her exploring the shops in the West End.

The hat looks like it's warm but she looks like a turtle caught in an oilslick with it on. You can't blame her, London looks freezing. And she doesn't have this keeping her warm anymore. Screw fashion. She's smarter than these other broads out there with a spaghetti strap dress and the coke keeping her warm.
