It must be true love, right?  Why else would Katy Perry write her boyfriend's name on her ass during her hosting duties at the MTV Europe Music Awards, which, side bar, was held in Berlin to commemorate the fall of the Berlin wall 20 years ago?  Glad to see Katy understands the gravity of world politics.

Anyhoosie, the costume in question, one of a billion Perry donned that night, was a matching corset and knickers bearing the colors and emblems of the West Ham United soccer team (that's football for you sticklers out there).  Needless to say, West Ham happens to be Russell Brand's favorite team.

Brand wrote Perry a very private and tender missive inspired by performance that evening.  Just kidding, he tweeted the following short phrases publicly,"Wow. Now MY GIRLFRIEND has worn a West Ham basque while hosting the EMA's.  What a day!"

He added,"Yes, I will be taking her to a game - West Ham Vs Everton."

Is anyone else here suspicious?  These two are a little too open with their relationship and are caught by photographers on the daily.  This smells to me more like a relationship between publicists than actual people.  And it's working!  These two have gotten more press in the last couple months than in their respective lagging careers combined.

J'accuse, Hollywood!  You don't fool me with your poorly planned publicity stunts!

Well-known for his love of the ladies, comedian Russell Brand recently admitted that his skirt-chasing days might be over.

Of his blossoming romance with pop star, Katy Perry, Brand tells The Times, "I am living in a different way at the moment. Regardless of what happens in my current situation, I am unlikely to be satisfied with the calamitous promiscuity of the preceding five or six years."

Despite this admission, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star is working hard to protect the privacy of their relationship. "She's lovely and I don't want her to read anything about herself." As for whether or not he believes monogamy is possible, Brand replies, "It is if you want it, and value something."

Well, well, well, sounds like someone's ready to do some settling down.

Settle, people.  Important things are happening.

Like Katy Perry turning 25 and throwing a giant party for herself.  Apparently, said par-tay had a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory theme and was held at L.A. restaurant The Beach.  Katy asked all her guests to wear white and then got a bit silly with some brightly-colored paint.  Naughty celebrities!

Katy unsurprisingly showed up with her love-buddy Russell Brand, and lovey-doveyness ensued.  I don't have much to say about these two.  They are a steaming cup of 'who cares?' in my book.

But on the bright side, look!  Oompa loompas!  I hope they got overtime for this gig.

Katy Perry showed off the girls at the Palladium in Holllywood where she attended the Mika concert last night. She took time to sign autographs and pose for fans with photos.

The singer must be on a love high. The rumor is that Katy and Russell Brand are looking for a home together in Los Angeles. The couple was said to be eyeing a 5000-square-foot apartment in the Hollywood Hills, with an open-plan kitchen, hot tub and a dog yard.

"Like a lot of celebrity romances, Russell and Katy have totally dived in at the deep end, but they've completely fallen for each other," the Mirror quoted a friend of Brand as saying. Katy's just the girl to keep Russell on his toes and he's completely head over heels for her. He keeps telling us he's never met anyone like her and he knows she's the one for him.

"He's 34 now and has been playing the field for years now and he's thinking this could be the time to settle down and maybe think about starting a family," the friend added.
