Michael Phelps & Ryan Lochte Embrace The Return Of The Speedo

A multitude of world records were broken on the first day of the world swimming championships, sparking discussion by international swimming governing body, FINA, that new regulations will eliminate performance-enhancing swimsuits.

What exactly does this mean? Well, a possible return to the teeny, tiny Speedo suits. And Olympians Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte think that's a great idea.

Phelps told reporters at a news conference, "Swimming will actually become swimming again. We're all going to have the same exact suit." In addition, Lochte tells Reuters, "I wish it went back to the old school, like banana hammocks. Jammers, I mean, I'm cool with that."

I think we're ALL cool with that.

News Bites: Ladies And Gay Gentlemen, Ryan Lochte

It's that time of the day for some gratuitous hot dude. Here's Olympic gold medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte. Why have we all been wasting time with that Michael Phelps person? Medals, schmedals. This is America. It's all about the face. Lochte appears in a GQ spread in the Jennifer Aniston covering her labia with an artfully tilted leg and a necktie issue.

Sources claim that the re-imagined Melrose Place that will follow in the footsteps of the terrible 90210 remake (seriously, it's like Ambien and Shanae Grimes just seems like she's an ass in real life, doesn't she? Does anyone else feel like she should be back in Canada somewhere, working at the Ferris Wheel at Niagra Falls and smoking a lot while she tries to seduce her married boss?) has a writer. The dude who created One Tree Hill, Mark Schwahn, is in negotiations to write the pilot. So yeah, enjoy the two episodes that air. Perhaps there will be a special DVD with the unaired third episode as a bonus feature.

Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl is NOT engaged to actor Sebastian Stan. Stan's rep says ""He is not engaged." Wow, creative. And apparently the "secret" Facebook pages that announced their engagement were fakes. So return your wedding gift. Oh, like we were all invited anyway. I bet Blair Waldorf's maid was, though.
