Celebrities Celebrate 2009 Emmy Awards In Style

Representing for the Twilight contingent, Kellan Lutz showed up at the Chateau Marmont post-Emmy party in a slick black suit, complete with a skinny tie and a new dark do.

Also hitting up the Chateau Marmont is young Hayden Panettiere, whose long-lasting bright red lipstick managed to remain intact throughout the course of the evening. Impressive.

HBO hosted its Primetime Emmy Party at the Pacific Design Center, where Grey Gardens star, Jessica Lange, proudly accessorized her green gown with the trophy she won earlier in the evening. At the same event, young 90210 star, AnnaLynne McCord showed of her legs (and almost much, much more) in a confounding, short black dress and bright pink heels.

At Vibiana, Entertainment Weekly and People magazine held their awards show after-party at Vibiana, where Emmy winners, Jon Cryer, Jerry Bruckheimer and Toni Collette happily posed for photographers while proudly clutching their brand new statuettes.

Emmy Nominees Share Their Reactions

As the 2009 Emmy nominations were announced this morning, television celebrities everywhere were either super happy or super upset. Luckily, we've got some reactions from the Emmy nominees who were super happy brought to you my E! Online. Check them out and let us know what you think!

Sally Field, whose is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the ABC show Brothers & Sisters said "As Brothers & Sisters enters its fourth season, it still is and always will be a great honor to be nominated. The only hard part is finding a dress...and a date." She's adorable. I hope she wins and makes a speech similar to one she made the second time she won a best actress Oscar.

How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the ceremony, and he is nominated as well for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He probably had my favorite reaction. "I love being in the mix again this year, but am absolutely over the moon about HIMYM's best comedy series nomination. The only multicamera show in the mix! This kind of recognition is huge for us. Just huge. It should be quite the night. Being asked to host the show--terrific. Getting a third nomination--fantastic. Having the ability to scribble my name in the envelope backstage when no one is looking--priceless." Do it Neil!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for The New Adventures of Old Christine, is quoted as saying, "I am truly delighted to be nominated, and I'm really looking forward to kicking Tina Fey's ass." Good luck. We'll just have wait until the Emmys to see if Tina Fey's lucky streak is broken.

Sally Field Backstage at the Emmys

If you watched the Emmy Awards, or read Lisa's live blog of the Emmy's, or saw the video of Sally Field's speech, you know how Sally spoke out on the war in Iraq. She addresses the "censorship" of her rant.

There's A War On But The Network Brass Doesn't Want Sally Field Telling You About It

Sally Field won an Emmy and then tried to protest the war, but she got her ass censored. I'm of two minds about this. Part of me is wow, actual free speech. And - like god forbid anyone talk about anything real - you might upset Ryan Seacrest and the one 80-year old World War II veteran in Biloxi who thinks we should still be over there doing god knows what and losing American soldiers daily for oil and defense contracts and because our President is a Jesus freak retard. Why are you censoring her ass? Isn't that what the country is all about? Real problems and not "American Idol"? But the shallow part of me thinks that damn, Sally, I just want to hear people read badly off a teleprompter and bag on ulgy dresses and watch closeups of shattered faces when certain names aren't called for the win. Oh, and hope for a shot of Joey Fatone's butt. Why you gotta make everything all heavy and stuff, Sal? The shallow part of me is one of the reasons our country is going to hell and the world hates us, by the way. Multiply my apathy by the population of North America.

"That's too bad," the Lead Actress in a Drama winner said afterward (and matter of factly) of the uproar. "I wanted to say something about the mothers who wait for their children to come home. I wanted to acknowlege them and what they do. I said at the end there is no question, that if mothers ruled the world there would be no war."

Pressed to elaborate on Fox's bleeping, Field again shrugged, "Oh well. I've been there before. Good. I don't care. I said what I wanted to say. I really think that if mothers ruled the world we wouldn't be sending our children off to be slaughtered. That's what Nora Walker is [about], she's this mother and she sees life through that."

I'll get off my half a soapbox now.
