Money is no object for legendary party host, Sean "Diddy" Combs and his 40th birthday bash held at the Grand Ballroom at the Plaza Hotel in NYC was no exception. The rapper is well-known for his lavish white parties, for which attending guests bust out their most blinding whites.

However, black was the theme of the evening with most attendees--including Estelle, Cassie, Jimmy Fallon and Shannon Elizabeth, Martha Stewart and Bono, just to name a few--showed up wearing black. The decor included a black chandelier and matching dance floor. The theme for the evening was "Garden of Eden" and included a $30,000 arrangement of orchids, according to Page Six.

But the best anecdote of the evening was relayed by a witness who claims that rapper Lupe Fiasco spent the evening flirting with Rachel Hunter. What can we say? Stacy's mom still has it going on.

My favorite bitch-face, Martha Stewart, sidled up to Nightline this past Thursday to purse her lips and throw some shade!

After complaining that her prison stay cost her over a billion dollars (but gained her much street cred, y'all) and claiming that the loss was a detriment to mankind (stop rolling your eyes or they'll fall out), Martha took a catty swipe at fellow egg-smasher Rachael Ray.

Martha claimed that Rachael was more of an entertainer with a bubbly personality, rather than a teacher like herself.  She also said that she couldn't bake.  Them be fightin' words!

The best part of the whole affair was Rachael's response, which was to essentially agree with Martha.  She couldn't deny Martha's superior skillz!  And besides, nobody wants to mess with Martha post-hoosegow.  Was I right about the street cred or what!

Speaking of street cred, here's Martha looking FABulous at Sean Combs' birthday party on Friday night.  Don't touch him Martha; you'll have to find some homemade remedy to get the stench of sell-out off your hands.

Hip hop mogul, Sean Combs, had a good time playing dress up in this black and white photospread for VMan magazine, donning several pairs of shades, a studded leather vest and a vinyl raincoat. It's obvious from the ease with which Combs slipped into each different look that he's comfortable changing his style as he is adopting a new nickname.

Getting personal, the entrepreneur confesses his feelings on love by saying, "It's my strength, my weakness, my kryptonite. It's the thing I am always in search of--and I am the type of person that if I love you, I love you hard."

Diddy tells the mag in his interview, "We're the Obama generation and it's not all about where we are at and where we are from, but also, where we can go." I like it--it's vague, but mildly inspirational. Just how I like my fortune cookie fortunes.

Per usual, most guys were decked out in suits and dress shirts. Except since it's MTV, there were hardly any ties to be found, with top buttons undone. Of course, there was also lots of leather to be seen.

Jack Black really took it to the next level, with his fake giant arm muscles and giant battle axe. Joe Jackson had the nerve to show up to the event, most likely taking the opportunity to promote his record label. He's a real class act, that one.

And as always, Sean Combs was probably the most impeccably dressed guy there, accessorizing with one lady on each side.

It's that time of year again. Sean Combs threw his White Party yesterday, but this time it was in Los Angeles and not it's typical haunt The Hamptons. The theme of this year's bash is "We are Family" as a benefit for Malaria No More with Ashton Kutcher.

The party attracted an interesting mix of celebrities. Everyone from Mariah Carey to Tara Reid to Russell Brand to Tom Green to Chris Brown. Yes, Chris Brown was there with his poor man's Rihanna, Teyana Taylor. Brown looked liked he was having a great time, and even posed for pictures with Sean Combs.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was in Las Vegas partying with Jay-Z and her new rumored boyfriend LeBron James. Let's throw rumored out the door. Rihanna was seen sitting on James' lap throughout the day. Good for RiRi.

Thoughts?

Most of yesterday's BET Awards were dedicated to remembering late pop superstar Michael Jackson, but as they say, the show must go on. And a slew of stars crossed the stage Sunday evening to accept their prizes for the year.

Beyonce Knowles, who brought the audience to tears with an emotional rendition of "Ave Maria," snagged video of the year for "Single Ladies, as well as Best Female R&B artist. Best Actor and Actress went to Will Smith and Taraji P. Henson, respectively. Best Male R&B Artist was Ne-Yo, who performed a cover of Michael Jacdkson's Lady in My Life during the evening's festivities.

Best Male & Female Hip-Hop Artists were Lil Wayne and M.I.A. and we're not sure if Lil Mama won some kind of fashion award for her interesting hair and outfit combo, but she should have.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys was all dark, wavy ringlets and beading in her mini-dress. The singer was one of many stars who mentioned the King of Pop during the evening's festivities. Sean Combs said simply that Jackson "made [him] believe in magic.

As queen of all that is fake and lame, Paris Hilton takes offense at the existence of the MTV reality series The Hills. At the Fragrance Foundation FiFi Awards, where Hilton took home the prize for Female Celebrity Fragrance, she told Us Weekly, "The show is, like, so lame and fake. [Her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt] doesn't even want to be a part of it."

Ha! Clearly, Paris is not a fan of the show, on which Doug was dumped by Lauren Conrad and then accused by Brody Jenner of pursuing her friend Stephanie Pratt.

Paris continued, "They make up relationships when they're not there, and he just thinks it's lame. I've never seen the show in my life. I have no idea what it's about. But he just thought it was cheesy."

On a completely unrelated note, the second season of Hilton's reality show Paris Hilton's My New BFF airs June 2 on MTV and is a bastion of authenticity and class!
