2009 American Music Awards: Ladies

Selena Gomez was sparkly and short in her silver toga dress and gladiator sandals. Cute. Her buddy, Demi Lovato, also stepped out in a short, flirty dress looking simple and elegant at the 2009 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater Los Angeles Live. Good job, ladies!

Toni Braxton kept it simple yet sexy in a simple black dress that showed off plenty of leg and gave a sneak peek of torso. Star of V, Morena Baccarin, also looked super-sexy in her patent-leather black heels and curve-hugging dress with a plunging neckline and all of it with a sweet pixie haircut and mysterious smile.

That is a whole lot of furry-looking turquoise Phoebe Price is wearing to the American Music Awards and I'm just wondering how many ostriches had to die for that coat of hers. I'm also not a fan of the black ankle boots Melody Thornton chose to pair with her clingy white dress.

Presenter Selena Gomez arrives at the 2009 American Music Awards all jazzed up.  The Wizards Of Waverly Place actress shimmered on the red carpet in a metallic mini and strappy sandals.  Well done, Gomez.  Looking all grown up, yet age-appropriate.

TV Guide Hot List Party: Cougars, Vampires & Aliens, Oh My!

Sporting a super-short hairdo, striking star of V, Morena Baccarin, took to the red carpet for TV Guide Magazine's Hot List Party in Los Angeles in a sleek, black dress. She's so gorgeous, I almost believe her when she tells me that all she wants is peace for this planet.

Going for a decidedly more vampy look (appropriately so), star of Vampire Diaries, Kayla Ewell donned a fitted fire-engine red dress and bright lipstick for the occasion.

Representing for the Cougar Town ladies, Busy Phillips and Courteney Cox, showed up to the event as well. Busy was all California sunshine with her long blond locks, a sea-foam green curve-hugging dress and peep-toe heels. One would hardly guess these two were in the same climate, with Courteney all bundled up in a gun-metal gray jacket and black dress underneath.

But Adam Lambert takes the cake with his tight jeans and black porcupine do standing straight up in the air. I wonder who had that hairstyle first, him or Kate Gosselin?

Selena Gomez Chats for Good

Selena Gomez encouraged her fans to help her raise $1 million dollars for UNICEF via a live  webchat yesterday. Gomez was recently named the youngest ambassador for the program ever and already visited Ghana and West Africa on the organization's behalf.

The Wizards of Waverly Place star took to USTREAM to share some of the details from these trips with fans and to promote the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign, where fundraisers trick-or-treat for donations. Selena and her fans have raised $45,000 for UNICEF, but the 17 year old is aiming for $1 million by the end of the year.

6th Annual Hollywood Life Style Awards Good Taste

OK, so here's to hoping that Pamela Anderson was simply attending the 6th Annual Hollywood Life Style Awards and not being recognized for her fashion choices over the past year. The blond pinup showed up to the event in what looks like a giant, light-pink satin sheet that was attacked by a gang of alley cats.

Other starlets in attendance opted for a more classic look. Heroes stars, Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto were appropriately stylish with the on-screen cheerleader donning a fetching lavender mini dress and the Star Trek star looking dapper in an all-black suit and blue tie.

Kim Kardashian showed of her curvaceous figure in a clingy, white dress. In a black, 80s-retro mini-dress, Disney Channel star, Selena Gomez looked polished and pretty. Katie Cassidy from Melrose Place looked regal in her up-swept hairdo.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are spotted leaving the Selena Gomez show at The Roxy in West Hollywood with their guest through the backdoor. Nicole, not surprisingly is still looking as thin as she was before she became pregnant.

The Hills star Lauren Bosworth was seen outside of the concert as well. The poor thing was alone.

Taking some time off shooting Eclipse, Taylor Lautner took time out of his busy schedule to attend the The 7th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party held at Milk Studios on Friday, September 25, 2009.

Taylor was joined by former rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez and a slew of young Hollywood hotties. Of course AnnaLynne McCord was there. She's show up and walk the red carpet if you laid one down at a murder scene. Can't stand that woman. She's actually the reason that I refuse to watch 90210.

Eva Longoria Sparkles At 2009 ALMA Awards

Looking very much like a teensy silver trophy herself, Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria sizzled in a sparkly silver sheath dress at thie year's ALMA Awards.

The event took place at Royce Hall on the UCLA Campus in Westwood, host to such Latin stars as Salma Hayek, Edward James Olmos and George Lopez.

New mom Salma was stunning in a pale purple, backless mini-dress in a roaring 20s vibe that included dark red lipstick and oversized jewelry.

Her buddy, Penelope Cruz took home a prize for her performance in the Woody Allen flick, Vicky Cristina Barcelona but was a no-show at the event. Hmm, maybe someone didn't have the energy to find a dress that would conceal her baby bump?

Selena Gomez won an award for her series, The Wizards of Waverly Place, for which she recently received an Emmy.

Tina Fey & Selena Gomez Triumphant At Creative Arts Emmys

The cast of the Wizards of Waverly Place rejoiced with a win in the category of children's programming, resulting in an Emmy trophy for its young star, Selena Gomez.

The event, hosted by multiple Emmy award-winner, Kathy Griffin, took place Saturday evening. Tina Fey took home yet another statue, but not for her critically acclaimed prime time television series, 30 Rock.

Instead, the former head writer for Saturday Night Live was awarded for her Sarah Palin sketch, while Justin Timberlake was recognized with a win for hosting the NBC sketch comedy show.

As for the red carpet, everyone looked gorgeous--especially Mary Steenburgen in a strapless, purple dress with cascading layers of fabric and Mary Lynn Rajskub whose elegant blue dress was perfectly accessorized with a seriously hot husband.

Selena Gomez Is Helping The Children

Wizards Of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez is on a mission. That mission? To use her star persona to help reduce the rate of preventable death of children. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF announced today that Selena is the UNICEF's newest Ambassador.

Selena said of her new role, "Every day 25,000 children die from preventable causes. I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero. I know we can achieve this because every moment, UNICEF is on the ground providing children with the lifesaving assistance needed to ensure zero becomes a reality."

Selena is now the youngest UNICEF Ambassador and her first act will be to travel to Ghana to see the conditions of children in the country who lack clean water, food, education and healthcare. Out of 195 countries, the UNICEF ranks Ghana 30 in relation to the highest death rates of children.

Everyone seems to be quite excited about Selena joining the UNICEF team. Caryl Stern, the President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF said in a statement, "UNICEF Ambassadors have a wide range of talents and achievements, but they all share a commitment to saving the lives of children worldwide. We're very pleased to have Selena join the UNICEF family, as a longtime supporter, she will continue to capture and engage an audience of millions of young people to help ensure the health, education, equality and protection of every child."

All of this goodwill and Ambassador work is definitely a far cry from people wondering whether or not she's dating New Moon's Taylor Lautner. Good times. Good times.
