Never one to shy away from the spotlight, Kate Price has very publicly dumped her boyfriend, Alex Reid, on live television. The two first connected shortly after Katie and ex-husband, Peter Andre, ended their marriage amidst accusations of infidelity and a messy custody battle. Just hours after the cagefighter had arrived in Australia with the intent of proposing to Katie during her stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! the relationship came to an abrupt end.

Shortly after Price brought Reid back to her hotel room, she took to the confessional to explain that she was sick of Alex "making money from her" and that "a lot of reflection in the jungle" had brought her to the following conclusion: "I just realized I wanted to be on my own, I don't need a relationship. I hope we can remain friends."

The 34-year-old reality television star confirmed the end of the relationship by telling the show's hosts of Alex, "I'm not with him." Ironically enough, it was on this very same program that Katie's relationship with her ex-husband, Peter Andre, first blossomed. I guess that's just how love goes, in the jungle--at least when Katie Price is involved.

Sorry; bit of fun there!  These two are entirely too depressing.

Anyhoosie, Jon Gosselin, seen here on a quick layover at LAX on his way home from the wedding of Philadelphia Phillies' Shane Victorino in Hawaii, met with estranged wife Kate Gosselin yesterday at the courthouse for divorce arbitration.

Jon's lawyer, Mark Heller, opened his big fat mouth to People with all the details.

"It was a positive move in the right direction for us to bring them together to the mediation table," says Heller. "Obviously before two warring parties can smoke the peace pipe, they have to sit down at a table and address the issues that brought them to the skirmish."

The good news: the divorce may be final by the end of the year.  Thank Jeebus!  I don't know how much longer any of us could stand hearing about this mess.

I wonder if Kate will go back to her maiden name once they are divorced, whatever that is.  I'm going to guess 'Deathbringer.'  It has a lovely waspish ring to it.

Another one bites the dust. Adam Lambert has split from boyfriend Drake LaBry. First reported by Just Jared, Usmagazine.com has confirmed the Adam has split from his interior designer boyfriend.

"They're still friends, and it's totally mutual," the source tells Us. "They will still talk and see each other."

And there's very little drama behind the split, the pal says. It's all about timing -- and Lambert's on-the-launchpad career. "Adam is crazy busy right now getting the album done and squeezing in rehearsals," the source tells Us, referring to Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, out Nov. 23. "They both felt this moment is too important for Adam to focus on anything else but getting this album out and having it be a huge hit."

"They're taking a break," an insider told Extra, adding that it may not be permanent.

After meeting with famed Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (who also advised Michael Jackson) for regular study sessions and counseling, Gosselin "apparently decided he needed to spend some time on his own," the source says.

Oh dear. I hate to say this, but look at what happened to Michael Jackson. Jon may want to find another spiritual advisor.

Director, Paul Haggis, has ended his 35-year membership with Scientology and Gawker has obtained the resignation letter drafted by the Academy Award-winning filmmaker. Citing the church's support of Proposition 8 and its distaste for homosexuality as his reasons for leaving, the director of Crash labels the organization as behaving in a manner that is "cowardly."

In the letter, Haggis also points a finger at the church for its custom of completely cutting off members who have chosen to leave the organization,  spokespeople for Scientology--a practice representatives for the group consistently deny is standard practice.

The legitimacy of the letter has been confirmed by former Scientology member, Marty Rathburn. Haggis summarizes his position by writing, "Frankly, I had to look no further than your refusal to denounce the church's anti-gay stance, and the indefensible actions, and inactions, of those who condone this behavior within the organization."

Can someone get Tom Cruise for an interview on the matter? Matt Lauer, perhaps?

The romantic relationship between T.R. Knight and his boyfriend of almost two years, Mark Cornelsen, has come to an end. A source dishes to In Touch, "It just came to a natural end, no hard feelings."

Reportedly, it was Knight's busy schedule that slowly drove the wedge between the two. While Knight has asked Cornelsen to move out of their apartment, the insider adds, "They still care about each other very much."

However, it seems that this split from his boyfriend, 16 years his junior, isn't keeping T.R. from hoping for a baby. The snitch tells the mag, "When the time is right, it will happen." Well, the two of them were cute while they lasted.

In the wake of rumors that the romance between Jamie Kennedy and Jennifer Love Hewitt has been hitting a rough patch, the Ghost Whisperer actress is denying any talk that the two are splitting.

While out at the Children's Institute Hosts Poker for a Cause event, the buxom star tells People magazine, "I'm not going to lie--it's not annoying, it's hurtful." She goes onto say, "I really hate that people would make it seem like he's not really a good guy, and not treating me well. He treats me very well."

As for Jamie, he asserts, "I am lucky to be with her. And I love her very much." See guys? Even the beautiful, busty gals have their troubles.

Although they are no longer dating, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are reportedly doing their darnedest to remain friends post-breakup.

A snitch tells People magazine that the two have been hanging out as friends after their most recent and seemingly final split. The source claims, "They've been talking for a while--they're very friendly."

Last month, the couple were spotted at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. A witness reports, "She was in casual clothing as was he, and she seemed very comfortable around his crowd of friends."

Just don't ask him about politics. It's kind of a touchy subject with that one.

During the course of Maksim Chmerkovskiy's breakup from Karina Smirnoff, his dancing partner, Debi Mazar, acted more like a mentor than someone who was receiving instruction.

While Maksim was the expert on the ballroom floor, it was Debi giving out the relationship advice when the cameras stopped rolling. Maskim tells People magazine, "My family is in New York and I don't have anybody here in L.A. so when [we split] Debi would call me and say, 'If you need a home cooked meal, come over.'"

It was Mazar's maternal side that took over, a drastic departure from her on-screen persona of Shauna on the HBO series, Entourage. I can only imagine how psychologically shattered Maksim would have been post-breakup, if that weren't the case.

Reality TV starlet, Kim Kardashian, recently accepted the Style Siren award at the Hollywood Style Awards last night. However, when the pinup was chatting with press on the red carpet for the event, she was willing to chat about subjects extending beyond her fashion sense.

In fact, the starlet confirmed that she and her football player ex-boyfriend, Reggie Bush, spent the entire week together before he headed back to New Orleans on Sunday. Here are pictures of the couple, enjoying a meal out together at the The Cheesecake Factory in Brentwood, California.

Kim admitted that her sisters were doing a good job of deflecting attention at the moment, telling Extra, "I think I'm just going to lay low and let them shine and let them do what they are going to do.
