Tina Fey Covers 'Harper's Bazaar'; Talks Lasers & Botox

Gracing the cover of Harper's Bazaar, Tina Fey shows off a more glamorous side than her 30 Rock alter ego, Liz Lemon, could ever hope to achieve. While Tina's frequently revealed that she can hold her own on the red carpet, rubbing elbows with Amazonian goddesses of Hollywood, she claims that she would never succumb to pressure to have Botox.

Fey tells the mag, "You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don't think Botox is for me. I think it is bad." The former head writer for Saturday Night Live describes people who have had the procedure one too many times as looking like "faces are full of candles--a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle."

As for Liz Lemon, it's hard not to think about another television New Yorker, Carrie Bradshaw. Despite their differences, Fey asserts, "Liz has little to no style and little to no sex drive. Carrie would be very encouraging of Lemon and help her have more confidence." And to wear more hats.

2009 Emmy Awards Red Carpet: Ladies

Padma Lakshmi is a reality television siren in a flirty, figure-hugging purple dress accented with what I'm going to refer to as a red garnish on her hips. Stunning Ugly Betty star, Vanessa Williams, also opted for a brightly-colored ensemble and was gorgeous in turquoise.

House star, Olivia Wilde, is a vision in a sheer, white lace gown that flaunts her trim figure. Just as radiant is her co-star, Lisa Edelstein, whose midnight-blue and white frock really brings out her eyes.

It's hard to tell whether or not Alyson Hannigan's strapless, A-line number is a dark, dark blue, or black. One thing is for sure--it's very flattering in the many layers, much like her hairstyle.

Looking angelic, with long, blond hair, Saving Grace star, Holly Hunter looks fabulous. Her critically-acclaimed series is one that sadly won't be returning to TV for another season. Hmm, this seems to be a theme these days...

Tina Fey & Mariska Hargitay: Ebony & Ivory At 2009 Emmy Awards

Sometimes, deciding what to wear on the red carpet can be quite black and white, as NBC stars, Tina Fey and Mariska Hargitay have demonstrated at the 2009 Emmy Awards. Both actresses are up for awards, with Mariska up for Best Actress in a Lead Drama for her role on Law & Order: SVU and Tina's award-winning series, 30 Rock, is once again up for Best Comedy.

Sisters and reality TV stars, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, have also opted for contrasting gowns while Heidi Klum and Seal are matching in black ensembles. Similarly, estranged couple, Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette appear surprisingly affectionate on the red carpet. Good for them!

Chandra Wilson, Glenn Close and Jenna Fischer each opted for the classic black dress, while on the opposite end of the spectrum, Chloe Sevigny, Leighton Meester and Kara DioGuardi prove that white isn't just for brides.

Tina Fey & Selena Gomez Triumphant At Creative Arts Emmys

The cast of the Wizards of Waverly Place rejoiced with a win in the category of children's programming, resulting in an Emmy trophy for its young star, Selena Gomez.

The event, hosted by multiple Emmy award-winner, Kathy Griffin, took place Saturday evening. Tina Fey took home yet another statue, but not for her critically acclaimed prime time television series, 30 Rock.

Instead, the former head writer for Saturday Night Live was awarded for her Sarah Palin sketch, while Justin Timberlake was recognized with a win for hosting the NBC sketch comedy show.

As for the red carpet, everyone looked gorgeous--especially Mary Steenburgen in a strapless, purple dress with cascading layers of fabric and Mary Lynn Rajskub whose elegant blue dress was perfectly accessorized with a seriously hot husband.

Meryl Streep To Guest Star On '30 Rock'

YES!

We can't imagine a better way to top off the comedic stylings of Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin than a guest appearance by the award-gifted Meryl Streep. Meryl will show 'em how it's done.

We were thrilled to see photo-ops of Tina and Jon Hamm, and now we can multiply that happiness by, like, 100. (Jennifer Aniston had a much, much milder effect)

Alec supposedly cornered Meryl after her Best Actress SAG award win and sweet-talked her into a role on 30 Rock when she was high on life.

"Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show," a well-placed insider told the New York Daily News. "She said yes immediately."

Tina and Alec better learn to behave themselves. No amateur actor squabbling when Meryl's in the house! (Bloggers beware)

Television: 2009 SAG Award Winners

30 Rock rocked all three comedy categories of the SAG Awards in a clean sweep. This is becoming a habit for Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, who both won for best actor and actress in a comedy series as well as best series.

The critically-lauded Mad Men snagged the best drama series cast prize, Hugh Laurie from House won for best actor in a drama series and Sally Field from Brothers & Sisters was recognized as best actress.

HBO's John Adams took the actor and actress in a miniseries awards, which were handed to Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney respectively. The stunt ensemble award went to Heroes.

Tina Fey Called Out Actual Haters

Comedian and Alec Baldwin keeper Tina Fey is a cool-ass chick (yes, I know the backlash is about to begin in T-minus....) and proved herself so by clowning on actual people who have hated on her on the Intenet during her Golden Globe award acceptance speech.

During her speech, which was pretty amusing she mentioned how whenever she gets too sure of herself, she goes online. She looks to see what the HATERS, sorry, H8ERS are saying about her. And then she called those dicks out!

Someone calling themselves "dianefan" has repeatedly been cutting up Fey on the LA Times' Envelope awards site with comments such as "This Tina Fey love fest is a bloody joke at this point. I am rooting for anyone else in that category" and "Tina Fey was simply like the pimple on my face - just there .... I think that the key issue here is the fact that when Tina is at her best, she's just not that great."

And Tina mentioned her and "babson lacrosse" out by name! She's brilliant! Fey logged on to namedrop H8ERS and prove herself even more down to earth. She's just like one of us - vindictive and cruel!

Tina Fey Needs To Give Alec Baldwin A Beatdown

All is not kosher on the set of 30 Rock, which is probably the funniest show on TV. So if these two wreck it, I'm back to watching Golden Girls reruns on Lifetme. Oh, who am I kidding, I watch them religiously anyways. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin got nasty on the set of a photoshoot with each other recently. Did he call her a "rude little pig?"

"Get ready to do a lot of airbrushing," Baldwin commented. Fey wasn't about this, so she asked "Something wrong with my face?" and he told her it was her entire body!

Look, sexy or not, he better shut his child-abusing mouth! Tina told him he had a double chin and thought Sarah Palin was hot. Which means that he wants to eff Tina? Good one, Tina. But I so would have called him a "rude little pig" and told you were calling DYS on him.

Why Tina Fey Has A Scar

Tina Fey is the thinking man's pin-up girl. Droll, deadpan, brilliiantly self-deprecating and growing into her sex appeal as her show 30 Rock won multiple Emmys this year and her spot-on impersonations of losing vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin made Saturday Night Live relevant again. But did you ever notice she has a scar?

It's true, Fey has a scar running along her left cheek. If you watch 30 Rock, you'll notice Liz Lemon is always favoring her right side. When Tina was five, a stranger attacked the toddler Fey in the front yard of her home and slashed her face. What?!?! Her husband Jeff Richmond spoke about it to Vanity Fair for their recent profile of her.

"It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen," he told writer Maureen O'Dowd.

Fey acknowledges that she sought therapy during 9/11 when someone sent anthrax to Tom Brokaw's office at the real 30 Rock and she linked that crime with her attack as a child.

"It's the attack out of nowhere," Fey says. "Something comes out of nowhere, it's horrifying."

Fey doesn't really talk about it because she says that would be "seemingly exploiting it and glorifying it," but don't you kind of love her more now? Here she is looking gorgeous at the 2008 Museum Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
