Spike TV's Scream 2009 Awards Show




Johnny Depp and Keith Richards made a surprise appearance at this year's Spike TV's Scream 2009. The award show honors the best in sci-fi, horror, fantasy and comic-inspired movies and TV shows.

True Blood and Twilight took home four awards. Transformers won three prizes. One of the highlights of the night is when Star Trek won the Ultimate Scream Award and William Shatner stepped out onstage to accept the award.

"J.J., I'll handle this," Shatner said to J.J. Abrams, seated in the audience, who also won best director and best sci-fi movie for Star Trek.

"This movie was big," Shatner said. "Imagine how big it could have been with me in it? ... I'll be waiting for your call."

Tobey Maguire & His Family Stroll Past Paparazzi




Spiderman actor, Tobey Maguire, usually does his best to jog right past the paparazzi, but it's a lot harder to slip by quickly when you're saddled with a baby stroller.

Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, enjoyed a family dinner out at Madeo in Beverly Hills but had to do some fancy maneuvering in order to shield their children from cameras.

While the couple's son is only a few months old, he's already getting a crash course in being famous.

A best friend is obviously one of the most important people in a person's life and that's why today we are celebrating Best Friends Day. I have a best friend, you have a best friend, he has best friend, she has a best friend... even celebrities have that one special person in their life.

Celebrites Love Going To The Park




Continuing the theme of holidays and celebrations most people never think actually exist, we present to you Celebrities at Parks in honor of National Recreation and Parks month.

The park is always a great place to hang out. There's toys, sand, swings, and come one, I can't think of anyone who doesn't love swings.

Most of the celebrities seem to have gone with their children, but no matter. The park is a great place to go no matter what your age! So go! Go park it up! Who knows, you might just see a celebrity while you're there.

Natalie Portman Joins 'Thor'




Thor's got himself a leading lady! The Hollywood Reporter has stated that Natalie Portman has been cast as Jane Foster, the female lead in Thor, Marvel Studios' adaptation of its comic books about the Norse god of thunder.

Kenneth Branagh is directing the film, which stars Star Trek hottie Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the god of mischief who serves as the film's villain. Natalie's character was a nurse in the early comics who became Thor's first love, although the studio says that the character will be updated for the film.

Thor will mark Marvel's first attempt at an epic fantasy adventure that spans from present-day Earth to the realm of Asgard. The film will center on Norse god Thor, who is cast down to Earth after restarting an ancient war in Asgard. On Earth, Thor becomes a super baller hero when Loki, the dangerous villain of his world, sends dark forces to invade Earth.

The film begins production in early 2010 and is set to be released in May of 2011. Safe to say I am uber excited for this film. Chris Hemsworth is so hot and just imagining him in the Thor is getting me excited. And Natalie Portman is pretty hot too. I'm only hoping for good things from this film.

Up next for Natalie is the film Brothers with Jake Gyllenhaal and Spiderman himself Tobey Maguire, which also looks pretty good. Yay good movies!

Natalie Portman Smooches Jake Gyllenhaal In 'Brothers' Trailer




So all the ice-skating pictures Natalie Portman on the set of her film Brothers are making more sense, now that we have the context of the trailer to go by.

Here's a video preview of the thriller, which has A-listers Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie starring in a love triangle. It looks pretty good, with Tobey and Jake pitted against one another for the affection of sweet little Natalie. Lots of chemistry between Ms. Portman and Mr. Gyllenhaal.

Meanwhile, Natalie's not yet in the mood to be promoting the flick, ducking the paparazzi during a visit to the Nobu Berkeley restaurant. But you can't really blame the woman, since there's not a red carpet in sight.

Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo Support The L.A. Lakers




Clearly, the couple consisting of Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo are Texas football fans. But we had no idea they were supporters of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. The twosome showed up at the Staples center yesterday to watch the Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 100-74, along with a host of other celebrity fans.

A more familiar set of famous faces included staunch Laker fans Jack Nicholson, Anthony Kiedis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Penny Marshall and Tobey Maguire. In fact, it's rumored that Nicholson's movie shooting schedules are required to accomodate the Lakers basketball season. And that's how he's had nearly perfect attendance at their games for over three decades.

Now that's a man who doesn't have a problem with commitment.

Tobey Maguire & Jennifer Meyer Welcome Baby Boy




Their 2-year-old daughter Ruby Sweetheart has just received a baby brother. Tobey Maguire's rep confirmed to Us that the actor's jewelry designer wife Jennifer Meyer gave birth.

The rep said, "I can confirm the Maguires had a baby boy today and the family is healthy and happy." The couple have been married since 2007 and this is their second child together.

Well congratulations to them. Can't wait to hear what the little one's name will be.

Celebrities Celebrate Lakers Win, Sean Combs Gets Booed




The hometown crowd at the Staples Center to see the Lakers play the Utah Jazz was treated to a victory the other night.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his longtime buddy Tobey Maguire took in the game with big smiles on their faces. Anthony Kiedis was rocking a variation of the Fu Manchu at the event and could barely stay in his seat during the sporting event.

Someone who maybe didn't have the best time? Sean Combs, who was booed when his face appeared on the big screen. The crowd was probably just disappointed it wasn't Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel sucking face again.

MLK Day Breakfast At Ballou Senior High: Celebs Encourage Service




So, we got caught up in all this inauguration excitement because come on, it's exciting! But keeping in mind that Martin Luther King Jr. Day was on Monday, here are some pictures of celebrities celebrating MLK Day with a special breakfast at Ballou Senior High School in Washington D.C.

Dr. King's son, Martin Luther King III, spoke at the event, where Hollywood power couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher showed up, along with California First Lady Maria Shriver and actor Tobey Maguire.

The event, titled A New Era of Service, took place in conjunction with the organization ServiceNation's campaign to encourage youth to volunteer. And all over breakfast, which makes sense because it is the most important meal of the day. Duh.
