Burger King is calling someone fat and FOX is apologizing.  Are pigs flying somewhere?

FOX aired a Burger King sponsored animated clip during their Sunday NFL show, which featured a rounder version of Jessica Simpson.  The fat rendering of Jessica isn't even the meanest part...  

The cartoon also portrays Dallas Cowboy Marion Barber exclaiming, "Man, I still can't believe Tony [Romo] dated Jessica Simpson, even AFTER she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!"  Ouch!  Other offensive remarks come from colorful characters, Jason Witten (Tight End) and Wade Phillips (Cowboys coach), who joke, "Unlike Tony, at least Jessica comes up big when it counts," and, "Say Tony, is Jessica around? We could use a defensive tackle," respectively.  That last one made me cringe.

Burger King and FOX have apologized for the mockery, and FOX has let Burger King off the line in a statement: "Burger King did not have any editorial input in the creation of the animation that ran last Sunday, and no one from Burger King Corp. approved it before it aired. Upon reflection, our poor attempt at humor was insensitive and we deeply apologize to anyone who might have been offended.''

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson were both unavailable for comment. 

I find the whole thing shocking.  I mean, the last thing you'd think Burger King would want to do is offend fat people, right?

Second in command at 'Sad Lonely Girl' headquarters Jessica Simpson (El Jefe is none other than Jennifer Aniston, duh!) has had a rough couple of months. First Tony Romo breaks her heart, then the tabloids can't stop talking about her weight and fashion sense, and most recently, her beloved pooch Daisy was kidnapped by a hungry coyote. Now it seems a nasty prankster is rubbing salt in the girl's fresh wound. Jessica's family and friends have recieved crank calls informing them Daisy is alive and well. Unfortunately, unless Daisy was some kind of super pooch, she was a coyote's main course weeks ago.

Jessica, understandably upset, tweeted "People who have been contacting my family and friends saying Daisy has been found...Untrue. People are so cruel...please respect her memory."

Let's give this gal a break. If she's pushed too much more we're going to have a Britney inspired meltdown on our hands and I'm willing to bet my first-born she cannot pull off the bald look.

No. But Star Magazine would like you to think so. Who wouldn't want to be dating the hunky Washington Redskin's quarterback Colt Brennan (what a perfect football player name). Here's what Colt had to say about his rumored affair with Jessica Simpson:

"My life coach Chris Cooley said I should neither confirm nor deny it," Brennan said after Saturday morning's practice.

Brennan first caught wind of the rumor Friday morning and immediately called Cooley. "I just told him, 'That doesn't sound like a rumor that I'd want to deny,' " said Cooley.

"Me being an honest guy, I have no idea what that's about," he said. He thinks it might be a prank that originated in Tony Romo's camp. "If it's Tony Romo who did that, it's absolutely hilarious," Brennan said. "And touche, Tony Romo."

I'm thinking this one is Jessica loss. Ladies anyone for some Colt?

Sure she just went through a hard break-up from Tony Romo, but that isn't stopping Jessica Simpson from still being happy, through and through. In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Jessica opened up about her life and how everything in it has affected her thus far.

On how she feels about her fashion line: "It's an incredible experience, creatively. I love to work with my mom; we're very hands-on. I get my inspiration from books, pictures, art. I might find a vintage scarf and say, 'I think this should be our color palette.' And I love that I can write off all my shopping! I love to [check out] people's personal style; I'll go into a Macy's in Dallas and watch what women pick up. I'm big-busted.... I can't always wear the cutest bras, and it makes me so mad. We make girls with bigger busts feel sexy under their clothes."

On her new TV show about what women do for beauty: "I fell in love with the idea when it was presented to me. They said, 'You were the first person who came to mind. We know the scrutiny you've been under, and we see the strong woman you've become.' I thought, Wow, there are people out there who aren't thinking I'm on magazine covers just because my weight fluctuates."

On female body image in the media: "I absolutely, 100 percent do not agree with how the media has made everyone [body] obsessed. And they do have the power to do it. Celebrities aren't perfect. It's amazing to me how much thought is put into a woman's figure on tabloid covers. No matter how much money you spend to make yourself beautiful--with all the products, the diets, the plastic surgery--in the end, women need to fall in love with themselves and realize they're beautifully and wonderfully made. There is no 'perfect' you. "

On relationships after the divorce: "It was hard to imagine I would ever walk down the aisle again. It was like a death in the family: You go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself. Once you do that, you feel complete--and that's the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person. "

The National Enquirer is claiming that during the course of their nearly two-year relationship, it was Jessica Simpson's pressuring Tony Romo to propose that ultimately caused the demise of their romance.

A snitch claims, "Tony pulled the plug because he couldn't stand the constant heat Jessica was putting on him to get married." Reportedly, it was Jessica's over-the-top Ken and Barbie-themed birthday bash that sparked their final argument. Tony wanted to celebrate the event with a quiet dinner-for-two and finally exploded, allegedly telling her, "I hate this stupid stuff and your whole fake Hollywood life!"

While Jessica is licking her wounds, her family is concerned for her because she fears being judged for going out in public. A family friend tells People, "The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee [Simpson]. Now they are fully confident in Ashlee's choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica."

I'm going to go ahead and put the theory out there that she and Nick Paves get back together.

In an attempt to help their buddy move on after dumping singer Jessica Simpson the day before her birthday. Tony Romo's friends tried to cheer up the Dallas Cowboys quarterback by taking him out at West Hollywood's Key Club.

Sources tell New York Daily News that Tony had been looking to break things off. The snitch reveals, "Jessica was ready to settle down, and Tony was not." Another adds, "He travels a lot for his games, and having a full-time girlfriend is a big commitment."

In fact, Tony spent the night of Jessica's birthday out until 2 a.m. at MyHouse, flirting with the ladies while the pop star enjoyed a quiet night in with family. Saturday evening, the professional athlete was out at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles and these pictures reveal a reveling Tony at the Key Club in West Hollywood.

Let's just hope Jessica doesn't somehow find herself back in the arms of John Mayer.

Adding insult to injury, Tony Romo not only has ended his relationship with Jessica Simpson, but the split reportedly happened the day before the pop singer's 29th birthday.

A source dished to Us Weekly that Simpson has canceled her Ken and Barbie-themed birthday bash as a result, but is "doing OK." In addition, a friend of Romo's said the break up didn't come as a shock. "They go from one fight right into another, without a second break," the snitch tattled.

With the festivities canceled, Romo opted to spend his ex-girlfriend's birthday at the L.A. club My House. As a fan of the Newlyweds series, I can only hope it's no coincidence that both Jessica and her ex-husband Nick Lachey are single at the same time. Lord knows, they were much stronger with their powers combined.

Who doesn't love a lovey rendition of the Nation Anthem? Jessica Simpson treated all those at the opening ceremony of the Tiger Tourney, an event put on by Tiger Woods, to a performance of it on Wednesday morning.

Jessica posed for pictures before the performance and was asked by some if she needed boyfriend Tony Romo, a participant in Tiger Tourney, to win a Superbowl before she married him. Jessica responded with, "He'll win. Tony is playing with Tiger tomorrow. That's all I'm thinking about." Wasn't that nice question evasion technique. You know papa Simpson isn't let her marry Tony until he brings home the Superbowl trophy.

Jessica's latest project is a reality show for VH1 called The Price of Beauty, which follows her around the world as she finds out what people find beautiful. Are we trying to get some beauty advice?

Tony Romo, the current love of singer Jessica Simpson, was in New York City yesterday on behalf of Starter for the New York Yankees batting practice.

Romo is the spokesperson for Starter, an affordable line of clothing and shoes that is sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. Romo said of Starter, "My family, we needed to have stuff that was durable and would last a long time and still felt good. That meant a lot. It's high-quality stuff I wear now."

The event Tony attended was to benefit the Starlight Foundation. Romo took a 10-year-old boy, Ben, who has leukemia, to batting practice to fulfill his wish of meeting the Cowboys quarterback as well as some Yankees.

"Most of the time I think I'm unimportant in a lot of ways so when you feel like you can influence someone and allow them to be happier, that really hits home," said Romo, who is in the process of setting up his foundation. "I think that's one area that many of us, myself included, who are in a position in the public eye need to help out more."

Well played Mr. Romo, well played.

The fact that Jessica Simpson has blossomed into an ardent sports fan has certainly helped her romantic relationship with Dallas quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo. When asked to describe the ideal night out with his lady, Romo told Entertainment Tonight, "Probably get a little bite to eat and probably watch a football game; that's our perfect evening."

And here's Jess, putting her money where her mouth is, as she supports the Los Angeles Lakers courtside. Tony adds, "It's exciting for both of us because I found someone I get to hang with...and she really embraces the game and really wants to see our team do well, and it's great to have someone like that."

As for the couple's future plans, Tony laughed off any news of a "baby bump" by saying, "None that I can think of, but I'm sure you guys'll tell me something new soon enough." We promise to keep you posted, Tony.
