Gorgeous funny lady, Sofia Vergara, and statuesque host of So You Think You Can Dance, Cat Deeley, took to the stage along with other presenters at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills for the 2010 People's Choice Awards nomination announcement press conference.

As for nominees, Twilight snagged a toothsome six nods including individual nominations for Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, as well as Favorite On-Screen Team. Both Pattinson and Stewart have been singled out for Favorite Movie Actor and Actress, respectively, and the film is also up for Favorite Movie.

Television vampires are also getting their due with HBO's racy True Blood up for three nominations. Star of the series, Anna Paquin, is up for Favorite Drama TV Actress and the series is also a contender for Favorite TV Obsession. Additionally, its competition in the Favorite TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy is none other from fellow bloodsuckers, The Vampire Diaries.

There won't be a dry neck in the house.

ENTER: Kayla Ewell, who plays Vickie Donovan on the CW's new hit series Vampire Diaries. In real life, Kayla may not be with the Twilight Saga's, Kellan Lutz after their two-and-a-half year relationship ended, but she is still one of the luckiest girls in the world for having been able to make hanging out with Kellan, and cast-mate Robert Pattinson, a regular occurrence.

I remember the first time I met him [Robert Pattinson] -- I was like, "Oh, hello!" And then he starts talking and that makes it 1,000 times hotter. I'm a sucker for accents and any man who can actually sing and serenade you. He'd do open-mic nights in random bars in Portland, Ore., while they were filming Twilight. I was dating Kellan then and we'd all hang out sometimes.

Get this ladies, not only did she get to hang with Kellan and Robert, but she also gets to go into work everyday with mega hotties, and co-stars, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley? Let us all say it together now, "YOU NEED A SANDWICH AND A SWEATER, 'CAUSE YOU'RE TOO SKINNY FOR THOSE TEETH."  Hmph.

Now that is quite a gorgeous foursome. How interesting that Rutina Wesley, the only human among the bunch, is the one comfortable baring her teeth.

Famed Vampire Chronicles author Anne Rice is in the midst of promoting her new book, which focuses on angels. Now that the author has moved on from her bloodthirsty pursuits, she's been tuning into some vampire stories by other people. Rice admits, "I really enjoy the HBO series True Blood." When I was writing my own, I wouldn't have wanted to be influenced."

While she hasn't read any of the Twilight books, Anne did watch the movie and sounded off on it as well. She adds, "I think many girls mature much earlier than boys, and they are frustrated when they approach young boys for love or protection.  Hence the fantasy of a wise and protective vampire coming into the life of a young girl who, of course, appreciates him in a special way."

I like them both, but there's something about those vampires from the Bayou that really get me going.

Sam Trammell and Rutina Wesley from the television series True Blood, and actor Kellan Lutz and actress Ashley Greene from the Twilight movie series hosted the Veuve Clicquot's Yelloween at the Tao Nightclub at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino October 31, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ashley went with a peacock costume while Kellan donned a Robin (as in Batman and Robin) costume. Ashley was happy to be wearing something different than a vampire costume. "It's definitely very fun to dress up in something different. Don't get me wrong, I love the costume - but everyday for two hours, it wears on you a little bit."

They joined the True Blood cast members and other partygoers in a night of drinking and dancing. Let's hope they had fun and don't feel like they got the short end of the stick. At one point Kellan yelled "let's do a massive amount of shots."

Kevin Williamson may not be a familiar name to you, but he's made billions torturing teenagers, so now's a good time to get familiar.

Williamson is the writer/ producer responsible for the Scream movies, Dawson's Creek, and more recently, The Vampire Diaries.  Now you're paying attention, right?  The Vampire Diaries is fast becoming the most popular CW show since the networks inception, and has officially been picked up for another 9 episodes.  Bloodsuckers, rejoice!

He recently sat down with the LA Times to discuss exactly what those silly-billies in vampire land will be up to in the upcoming season.

Williamson talks about Vicki's metamorphosis into a vampire (possibly a not-so-nice one), his anxiety over Twilight and True Blood comparisons, the crummy job Nina Dobrev did during her audition (Has Degrassi taught her nothing?!), and his very accurate assertion that "high school is a horror movie."

My favorite part is when he compares The Vampire Diaries with Dark Shadows, a show made practically 30 years before his core audience was born.

It just goes to show you just how out-of-the-loop I am that I know more about Dark Shadows than I do about The Vampire Diaries.  In my defense, the show must be confusing because the stars are always trying to explain it.

Also, I just have to say that the vampire over-saturation is reaching critical mass here, people!  Doesn't anyone care about sea-monsters anymore?  I like my godless mutants well-hydrated.

It was a good night at Spike TV's Scream Awards 2009 for Alexander Skarsgard. The True Bood actor took home the Best Villain award.

On top of that Alexander received his award from his Straw Dogs co-star Kate Bosworth.

HBO's True Blood was a four-time winner, taking honors for best TV show, along with best villain and best horror actor and actress for co-stars and real-life couple Steven Moyer and Anna Paquin.

Look for the award show to air on Spike TV Tuesday, October 27 at 10pm ET/PT.

Co-stars of True Blood and real-life couple, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, are planning a wedding in which Moyer's pet dog will be taking on an integral role. The actor--who plays Southern gentleman vampire Bill on the series--tells People magazine, "Splash, my alpha, will be the ringbearer."

Despite the fact that this particular detail has been settled, the couple have yet to set a date for their nuptials. Moyer continues, "People say, 'You are engaged to be married,' and I'm like, 'Really? I thought we were just engaged.' "

Despite Stephen's casual attitude, Anna is actually wearing an engagement ring with a "rustic diamond." Really? No vial of her partner's blood? Cause that would actually seem appropriate for these two.

The finale for the second season of HBO's vampire series, True Blood, is right around the corner and one of its major stars, Ryan Kwanten is hyping it as "the amalgamation of pretty much the entire season."

The 32-year-old actor is obviously well-known for obligingly popping off his shirt and pants when his role requires it, but claims his physique isn't the result of grueling workout sessions.

According to Kwanten, "I don't have trainers or anything like that...I just pretty much keep myself on my toes and try not to get bored. I probably do an hour every day."

As for whether or not there's a lucky lady in his life, Ryan says he's single, but not exactly ready to mingle. "Unfortunately, I just can't devote enormous amount of time to women right now. I'm concentrated right now on working but I like a woman who's not afraid to be herself."

You hear that ladies? If you can wow Ryan with your authenticity, he might find a way to squeeze you into his busy schedule...and tight pants.

Eric and The Queen are getting it on!

Lainey Gossip is reporting that True Blood co-stars Evan Rachel Wood (she dumped Shane West) and Alexander Skarsgard are dating. The couple obviously met on the set and have been dating for weeks.

Wood flew down to Shrevport, Louisiana where Alex is filming Straw Dogs to see him. The couple is seen here in New Orleans.
