Man, those Twilight kids are pretty "love 'em, and leave 'em" when it comes to film directors. Recently, Robert Pattinson expressed a desire for Gus Van Sant to direct the final Twilight installment, Breaking Dawn.

Similarly, New Moon vampire, Jamie Campbell Bower suggested that Tim Burton would be a good fit to helm the film, telling MTV News, "I think he'd screw around with it quite a lot, and aesthetically, I think it'd be incredibly different." Nikki Reed agrees and suggests, "Tim Burton, Woody Allen. I'm aiming high right now."

Ashley Greene, agreed with the Burton suggestion by saying, "The fourth one's a little odd, a little weird, and I definitely think that Tim Burton would put an amazing spin on it." Am I the only one rooting for John Waters? Don't look at me like that--it could be interesting.

Movie critics haven't been nearly as excited about The Twilight Saga: New Moon as fans. Roger Ebert says of the film's characters, "Their charisma is by Madame Tussaud." The Los Angeles Times laments that lack of chemistry between Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart while USA Today thinks that KStew and Robert Pattinson's relationship is the one that suffers the most.

Regardless, fans have flocked to the theater, effectively breaking the record for most advance sales of any film ever. New Moon is expected to earn more than $85 million for its opening weekend. Meanwhile, Kristen and Rob are doing their best not let the sparks fly off-screen, seen here leave a lounge in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan separately.

While celebrities seemed to shy away from the Los Angeles premiere of New Moon, this was not the cast at the The Twilight Saga: New Moon screening hosted by The Cinema Society & D&G in New York City.

It was a pretty hip crowd. Jessica Szohr, Katie Lee Joel, Taylor Momsen, Howard Stern, Jessica Stam, Kenneth Cole, Alison Mosshart, Ivanka Trump, Amber Rose, Patrick Wilson, Natalie Portman, Lydia Heast, Agyness Deyn, Rachel Roy, Justin Tuck, Veronica Webb, Beth Ostrosky, Sarah Winter, Ed Westwick, Joan Jett, Justin Kirk, Abigail Breslin, Dan Abrams, Emma Roberts, Fergie, Eric Mabius, Trey Songz and Alexa Chung all joined the New Moon cast for the screening of the film.

Well, tonight is the night. New Moon is finally here! A least we don't have to wait another whole year until Eclipse debuts in theaters.

The last major U.S. event for New Moon is taking place tonight in New York City with a screening of New Moon. Although Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart (check out Kristen's green dress in the gallery) and Taylor Lautner do have a few more talk show appearances yet to air.

"Divide and conquer" has been the theme for how The Twilight Saga: New Moon stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been taking on the talk show circuit to promote the film's premiere in Los Angeles.

Kristen has been making the rounds, as well as Taylor Lautner and now Rob is up to bat. The star made his way to chat with Regis Phibin and Kelly Ripa on their morning talk show, where he did a great job making the Twilight moms in the audience swoon.



When Rob visited Ellen DeGeneres on her show, the 23-year-old confessed that as a joke, he once suggested to a female fan that she "take [her] clothes off" to get his attention. This took place at a signing, where RPattz had just finished penning 500 signatures.

As he tells Ellen, "She stood there and frantically started taking her clothes off and got dragged out of the room by security. I never felt more terrible...I sound like I'm actually just abusing my position." It's OK, Rob, I can guarantee she I...er, SHE was totally into it.

We're not even done with the promotion of The Twilight Saga: New Moon and already, the film's star, Taylor Lautner, claims that he is ready to get to work on the fourth installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn.

The actor was practically mobbed by fans on his way into Live With Regis & Kelly and once he was finally inside, he told the talk show hosts, "I'm looking forward to the whole pack splitting up, that could be cool." And then he threw a football at a plate. Kidding! It's too early in the morning for those shenanigans!

While I'm sure that Taylor will enjoy the filming process, it's still sad to think that it will mean the end of Twilight as we know it. Parting is such sweet sorry.

Those stars of The Twilight Saga: New Moon have been hitting the talk shows and HARD. Kristen Stewart is a very busy woman, hitting up Jimmy Fallon's talk show to show off her football-throwing skills and talk about New Moon, as well as her role as Joan Jett in The Runaways.

While her spirals might not be as tight as those of her co-star, Taylor Lautner, Kristen was able to successfully throw the ball accurately enough to destroy some plates Jimmy held up as targets. And all while wearing a tight black dress and some serious high heels. Nicely done.



Kristen also made her way to Live with Regis & Kelly, showing off a fetching little ponytail and yet another cute little black outfit to chat with Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin. Sadly, no balls were tossed during the interview. Not even little ones.

His dry sense of humor has certainly been helping Robert Pattinson cope with his overwhelming fame. And the Twilight star employed it in his interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show. Laughing, RPattz confessed, "I actually come up with these rumors myself." Pattinson agreed to every gossip story Lauer mentioned, a big smile on his face. In answer to whether or not he was engaged, hit by a cab and had a drug overdose, Robert jokingly confirmed each one.

Matt said, "You're dating a costar whose name rhymes with Tristan Blewart." To this, Rob replied, "Tristan Blewart ... there was a Liston Hewitt last year. That would be true, yes."

Pattinson recently demonstrated his fake American accent to David Letterman on his talk show and followed up by telling Matt, "I speak in an American accent when I speak to the crowd,. I feel like it's acting. I mean, I think it's the only way I don't go completely mad."

Well, I know talking in American accent always soothes my nerves.

In the round of talk show appearances for the New Moon cast, Kellan Lutz paid a visit to Ellen DeGeneres. He talked about being a part of such a huge phenomenon and how his dogs keep him grounded.

However, in what would have been the highlight of the interview, Kellan lets us down a little.
