Kimora Lee Simmons Returns To Judge 'Top Model'

Ratings are the worst that they've ever been for Tyra Banks' reality TV series, America's Next Top Model, and so the CW is looking to shake things up in the upcoming season.

Former judge and Tyra's rumored frenemy, Kimora Lee Simmons has reportedly been tapped to act as judge for next season. A snitch tells the New York Daily News, "Tyra is obsessed with people's perception of her and was not happy when [Paulina] Porizkova and [Janice] Dickinson said they didn't get along."

In order to dispell this appearance of diva behavior, the snitch says Tyra asked Kimora Lee to return to the show. A rep for the CW, of course, denies this is the case.

Personally, I like to believe that the show simply lacked a certain fabulosity and we all know Kimora Lee has it in spades. In fact, I hear she stores her leftover fabulosity in the freezer, lest any go to waste.

Tyra Banks And Her Smiling Technicolor Eyes

In case you forgot, while Tyra Banks makes most of her big bucks these days by being an award-winning reality television mogul, she had very humble beginnings as a supermodel.

This photoshoot of the curvaceous fashion industry superstar reveals that she clearly hasn't forgotten the fine art of smeyeing. For those of you not in the know, this means smiling with your eyes.

In fact, in many of these pictures, Tyra is even smiling with her pinkie toes. That's the mark of a true professional.

Tyra Banks Makes Unengagement Announcement

Model-turned-talk-show-host Tyra Banks has reason to celebrate, but it's not because she's getting ready to tie the knot. The recent Emmy winner was rumored to be engaged to her longtime boyfriend, John Utendahl, news which Banks quickly dismissed.

However, Tyra claims that the ring on her left ring finger was not of the engagement variety. Banks cleared up the rumors via her Twitter page on Monday.

"Hearing about crazy rumors that I'm engaged. Well, I'm not," Ty-Ty explains. "The 'RING' is my high school class ring. It's 10k gold, and has zero diamonds. Ha!"

Trust me, if Tyra were engaged, we'd see an entire episode of her talk show dedicated to it.

36th Daytime Emmy Awards Red Carpet Displays Evening Elegance

A slew of elegantly dressed soap opera stars and daytime talk show hosts hit the red carpet for this year's Daytime Emmys, looking like they were ready for a long night of celebrating.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres showed off her trademark tomboyish style in a crisp white dress shirt, suspenders and black tuxedo pants while her partner, Portia de Rossi wore a midnight blue off-the-shoulder dress.

Tyra Banks kept it simple and elegant in a pair of neutral-toned heels and matching clutch, simple straight hair parted down the middle and a very flattering coral-colored, asymmetrical sheath dress. Girlfriend was on point.

But Brenda Dickson took the cake, with her flowing red locks, and body-hugging snakeskin dress. Her low-cut, black-lace plunging neckline says, "Welcome to my bosom!"

Tyra Banks & Rachael Ray Triumph At 2009 Daytime Emmys

Tyra Banks has won herself yet another Emmy at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards, as well as Rachael Ray, who snagged the prize in the "entertainment" talk show category. Because our girl Ty-Ty likes to get all investigative reporter and shit, she won the category of "informative" talk show.

Queen of talk, Ellen DeGeneres, has won the award for best talk show host for the past four years, but was unseated from her throne by the ladies from The View, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters. Really?

Speaking of hosts, star of Ugly Betty, Vanessa Williams, took on hosting duties for the evening at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Other awards went to The Bold and The Beautiful for best drama, best male lead to Christian LeBlanc for his role on The Young and the Restless and best female lead to Susan Haskell for her part on One Life To Live.

Tyra Banks To Strip Down To Her 'Real Hair'

In an effort to as real as she can be, talk show host, Tyra Banks, will be remove all traces of her trademark, long and luxurious hairpieces in an upcoming episode The Tyra Show.

As Tyra tells Us Weekly, "For the season 5 premiere, I will be doing just that--no fake hair, I'm rocking my REAL hair. This will all be going down on September 8, 2009, which we're declaring National Real Hair Day!"

This sounds exciting and all, but I can't wait for National Fat Suit Day to roll around again! I just got mine back from the dry cleaners.

2009 BET Awards Winners Remember Michael Jackson

Most of yesterday's BET Awards were dedicated to remembering late pop superstar Michael Jackson, but as they say, the show must go on. And a slew of stars crossed the stage Sunday evening to accept their prizes for the year.

Beyonce Knowles, who brought the audience to tears with an emotional rendition of "Ave Maria," snagged video of the year for "Single Ladies, as well as Best Female R&B artist. Best Actor and Actress went to Will Smith and Taraji P. Henson, respectively. Best Male R&B Artist was Ne-Yo, who performed a cover of Michael Jacdkson's Lady in My Life during the evening's festivities.

Best Male & Female Hip-Hop Artists were Lil Wayne and M.I.A. and we're not sure if Lil Mama won some kind of fashion award for her interesting hair and outfit combo, but she should have.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys was all dark, wavy ringlets and beading in her mini-dress. The singer was one of many stars who mentioned the King of Pop during the evening's festivities. Sean Combs said simply that Jackson "made [him] believe in magic.

'Melrose Place' Cast Turns Up At CW Network Upfronts

Officially stepping out as the newest members of the CW network family, the cast of the new Melrose Place had a coming-out of sorts on the red carpet. Leading the pack was former Seventh Heaven star Ashlee Simpson, who's returning to the network in this new iteration of the 90s TV soap.

Also, the original redheaded vixen from the first version of the series, Laura Leighton, was flanked by her younger costars who she'll end up teaching a thing or two about devilish plotting.

If someone doesn't end up in the pool in her sister's wedding dress by the end of season one, I'll be sorely disappointed. Let the scheming and double-crossing begin!
