The Iron Man actress has been spotted traipsing around Europe in super high heels and the influence of these photos has been made most apparent by the rise in sales of that style of show. Various British retailers have reported an increase of consumer purchases in high-heeled shoes for women. In fact, the difference has been so noticeable that the result is being loosely called the "Gwyneth Effect" and has earned the Hollywood actress a commercial endorsement for Italian shoe designer Tods.
I love her dress and the shoes are quite striking, but seriously, is it worth risking breaking a bone to be walking around on cobblestone in those crazy foot daggers? If this keeps up, we can look forward to more pictures like this. It's all fun and games until someone loses and eye.

It's easy to forget that Gwyneth Paltrow dated her Se7en costar Brad Pitt back in the 90s -- in fact the two were even engaged at one point.
And up until now Gwyneth has always wished him well, and she even admitted once that she was lucky to have been with him because she was "such a mess" at that point in her life.
But for some reason this weekend when OK! Magazine caught Gwyneth at the Iron Man premiere, Gwyneth wasn't quite as kind.
Reporters asked Gwyn if she had any well wishes for Brad and Angelina, who are expecting twins. According to the article, "The Shakespeare In Love star twisted her mouth and pertly pronounced 'No!'"
Perhaps she didn't realize that the baby has been confirmed, and didn't want to give anything away. She probably is stuck in that mode after having to be so mum about Jay-Z and Beyonce's wedding.

Gwyneth Paltrow is showing off some skin here in her get-up for the Iron Man premiere in Los Angeles. I have to admit that I've been something of a chronic hater of this woman because of some things she's said in the past that I've found obnoxious when she was trying to appear intelligent, worldly and cultivated. But I want to try and clear my head of any of those prejudices of mine, an view this outfit of her as objectively as I can.
Now, this ensemble strikes me as being very "classic JLo," if you know what I mean. It looks pretty decent in these pictures, but I just don't think Gwyneth quite has the curves to pull it off. It is a really good color on here, though, and I'm loving the hair and make-up.
However, there were plenty of other goofballs on the red carpet to distract from Gwyneth's jumpsuit. Sean "Diddy" Combs reminded us why he always wears sunglasses, even indoors. Those beady eyes need protection. And Billy Corgan was there dressed like a little Frenchman who is wondering if we've seen his goat, Pepe, wandering anywhere.

Thanks for throwing us a bone this time, Gwyns. How come we can only get your picture when you're shilling a movie? Hypocrite! Here's Gwyneth Paltrow showing some skin at the Iron Man premiere in Tribeca. She plays Pepper Potts in the movie. Hopefully the Mandarin or the Titanium Man takes care of her ass. Yeah, I know Iron Man villains, Shut up!
Gwyneth has been stepping out in heels a lot lately, despite an injury she suffered on the set.
"I'm a capable heel walker but I had trouble with my knee while I was making the film and sometimes on stairs it hurts," she says.
Everyone was on hand for this one, from the newly gay Michael Stipe (*eyeroll*) to Zac Posen (still the only fashion designer I'd get with) to Miss Diana Ross wearing galoshes and a couch! Ok, I'm lying about Zac Posen. I'd totally get with Michael Kors, too if I had enough drinks. I like leathery round men who sound like cockatoos being beaten with clubs.

Gwyneth Paltrow's husband Chris Martin is a bit of a git and has this whole thing about them never being photographed together out in public. Jesus, she's not that busted. Here they are making a rare public appearance together in London. At least, we think it's them. Why don't they just wear bags over their heads if it's that crucial?
They dined together at Zuma restaurant after the UK premiere of Gwyn's new flick Iron Man.
The Coldplay frontman has a serious bug up his ass about being seen out with his wife. I think that's weird. I applaud them for being the opposite of fame-whoring but lighten up. It's not that serious
Paltrow has been quoted previously saying Martin enforces this rule stringently.
"You will never see us out publicly. We just don't want to be one of those couples. He gets furious if I say something about him," she told Glamour magazine earlier this month. Jesus, concentrate on making less boring music, dude.

Iron Man, Iron Man, does whatever a....guy in a big metal suit...can. Ugh. Here are some snaps from the Iron Man UK premiere. Robert Downey Jr. stars as billionaire inventor Tony Stark, who creates and dons a crazy advanced battle suit to fight crime. Kind of like when I get my keyboard to fight...good taste. Right.
Robert gets props. This bitch was toe-up some years back when he was all kinds of high and breaking into houses to take naps and saying drugs were the shotgun he was putting in his mouth but he couldn't stop. Now look at him! He got clean and got on the success train!
And his greatest challenge? Working with Gwyneth Paltrow. Jesus, imagine working with her pale, mildly dissatisfied passive aggressive ass? I'd want repulsor blasts in my gloves, too! She plays the villain right? Stankula? Moue of Disgust Woman?
Do you think Simon Pegg would consent to some sort of relationship with the boyfriend and me? He can bring Nick Frost, too. It can be a like a sit-com with two Brits and two Americans, but with lots of pale guy flesh.

Here's Gwyneth Paltrow starring in a movie about a superhero she's probably never even heard of. She wouldn't know Iron Man from Rainbow Brite. She just wanted to be able to remind people that she's still alive and working despite all the adversity she's gone through. Like seaweed shakes, Madonna-friending, oddly named babies and hating America.
When she's not insulting comic book nerds everywhere with her obvious disdain for the material, she's giving. Gwyneth recently appeared at a gala for the Food Bank of New York City and donated $75,000. Hey big spender! Her friggin' shoe-shopping trips probably cost more. Damn, way to give, Paltrow. You sure you can spare it?
Why didn't you just give them the scraps from one of your macrobiotic vegan food orgies and call it a day? Here's a thought - why don't the assorted rich bitches donate all the food served TO the hungry? Seriously, load up a truck. It's not like the anorexic and manorexic twigs in evening finery are actually going to tuck into anything at one of these things. It's all for the open bar, the publicity, and the networking, anyway.

These are some serious heels that Gwyneth Paltrow is sporting and my first instinct when faced with something that looks unfamiliar and strange is to judge harshly. However, I must admit that I really love her coat, hair and actually now that I think about it, I actually like the whole look.
Occasionally, I do appreciate a bold addition interjected into everyday fashion. I mean, celebrities have the money to do it. Plus, she's in Paris. And if you can't wear crazy shoes in Paris, then dammit, where the hell are you supposed wear them?

Who isn't? It's national status quo. Oh wait, she's British. Kind of. Here's Gwyneth Paltrow at the birthday party for her son Moses Bruce at Centrico restaurant in NYC. Doesn't anyone go to Chuck E. Cheese anymore? Throw that child into the ball pit and let him live a little.
Gwyneth's interviewed in this May's Vogue and she reveals that she suffered from postpartum depression after Moses was born. Maybe it was that name she chose. Because that's sad.
"You know, I had postnatal depression after [my second child] Moses," she says. "I didn't know I had it until after it was over. I just didn't know what was wrong with me...I felt really out of my body. I felt really disconnected. I felt really down; I felt pessimistic."
Gwyneth thinks that she was depressed because she had to cut down on her usual treatments, like acupuncture. It also might have been because she works out with Madonna on a regular basis and Madonna only allows them to eat raw seaweed and human souls. That would depress anyone.

Am I seeing this right? Did Madge wet em'? Look, I know she's older, but she's not at that age when you lose all bladder control. I've seen that happen. It isn't pretty. The first drop of incontinence and Ri-Ri Harvey's going into a home. Don't gasp, she's well aware. Here's Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna after a workout.
Madonna has revealed that her husband Guy Ritchie was on the trendy Cookie Diet. This sounds ridiculous. You eat cookies. Are Pepperidge Farm Orange Milanos included? They bring you bliss.
"My husband went on that Cookie Diet and it was such a turn-off because he didn't want to have sex. He's not on it at the moment, thank God. He did [lose weight] but he didn't really need to lose that much weight. I think he did it because all his friends were doing it and he wanted to see if he could do it," she told a radio station.
I need to see these cookies. Are they like Snackwells? Ugh. I doubt Gwyneth's had any. It's all vegan soups and escorting Old Lady Ciccone around for her.
