You would too. She used to be able to rest her head on Ryan Reynolds' rock-hard abs. Then they broke off their engagement last year. Alanis Morrisette and his abs, I mean. And now he's engaged to Scarlett Johansson! That bitch can't sing! At least not about giving head in a theater! Alanis Morrisette says that she "hit rock bottom" last year.
She says she had to take a break due to "a personal unraveling of significant relationships in my life." Oh honey, just say it. Ryan took off and you were devastated. I would be, too. Look at that body.
Her new album, Flavors of Entanglement, hits on June 10 (J. Harvey's birthday!), and it's how she worked through her issues she says. That, and everything from "pounding pillows" (with Scarjo's face on them) to "sharing with intimate friends." So she f*cked her way back. Good for her.
Alanis hasn't lost her faith in love, though.
"Oh yeah. My nature is always hope filled. It's more about values matching now. That's the foundation," she says. Oh shit, she joined EHarmony? Those bitches are homophobic and I'm disappointed in Alanis now.
The Canadian songstress says she's dating someone but declined to reveal who. It's totally George Glass.

The actress/pop star hopeful showed off the rock given to her by her beau Ryan Reynolds on the red carpet at the Met Gala that I've been writing about for the past few posts, dressed very much like a princess. Ryan doesn't look like he was there at the event to escort his lady-love. I'm guessing he was busy making some hokey romantic comedy or exercising his abdominal muscles.
I had actually completely forgotten that these two were dating when their engagement was announced. They've been dating since March 2007, not too long after Ryan and his ex-fiancée Alanis Morissette broke up. Well, Scarlett, you oughta know that if your engagement to Ryan starts approaching the three year mark, you should probably be concerned.

Scarlett Johansson can console herself over any lukewarm responses to her music video with the rock she's sporting from her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds. Ryan has decided to make an honest woman out of Scarlett and has proposed to the full-lipped actress. The two have been dating for over a year and Johansson is expected to be showing off her engagement ring tonight at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York.
Scarlett's rep Marcel Pariseau told People magazine, "They're both thrilled."

Here's Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock filming The Proposal in Rockport. Which is north of me. I could have been there. Have you ever seen anyone hotter driving a boat? Goddamn, he makes watersports look hot! That came out wrong. They're supposed to be transforming Rockport into Alaska? I've been there. There's no glaciers.
The movie is some piece of crap about Ryan marrying his boss so she doesn't get deported to Canada. This movie was hotter when it was about a fat Frenchman in NYC having the same experience. But that's Hollywood. The next thing you know, they're going to be remaking my childhood Super-8 movies.

On the third stop along their Whistle Stop Express tour to promote their film, Leatherheads, George Clooney and Renée Zellweger hit up the Historic Salisbury Station in North Carlolina for a down-home press conference.
George is rocking a look that I know is supposed to be retro and old-timey, given the tone of his movie and this press tour in general, but I can't help noticing that it's a similar look that his buddy Brad Pitt seems awfully fond of sporting. And sometimes, Ryan Reynolds.
Either way, my back-up boyfriend, John Krasinski, is in the movie and that might be enough to compel me to give it a shot.

Here's Ryan Reynolds gracing "TRL" with his "Definitely, Maybe" co-stars Elizabeth Banks and Abigail Breslin. Abby better enjoy it while it lasts, have you seen Haley Joel Osment lately? Awkward. There's word that Ryan and ladyfriend Scarlett Johansson aren't vibeing like they used to. Sources say the two of them are barely together due to their crazy schedules. Even though the two of them made appearances at the Berlin Film Festival, it was on different days and they missed each other.
A source says that "they haven't spent more than a day in the same city in months." I seriously don't know how the fiery hot ones date anyway. They're always on planes or on the set or at awards shows or film festivals. How do you have time to make sweet love? My off time would be spent napping and getting drunk. That's some stress!

Ryan Reynolds is enjoying a nice little walk with a friend of his through Soho. He's a big fan of that newsboy cap and I have to admit that he is cute in it. The scarf's also working for me as well. Critical reviews of Ryan's latest film, "Definitely Maybe" have been pretty lukewarm, saying that romantic comedy's not horrible, but not fantastic either. He's cute and all, and I've heard that his co-stars Isla Fisher and Rachel Weisz are pretty good in the movie, but that's not enough for me to bother going and seeing it. However, come Saturday, I'm DEFINITELY going to see George Romero's "Diary of the Dead" and MAYBE there won't be brains getting eaten, but there probably will.

That is one pretty man. Ryan Reynolds took his beautiful face for a walk at the premiere of "Definitely Maybe," hitting the red carpet with co-stars Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher and Rachel Weisz. These are a lot of hot people in a movie that I'm pretty sure I'll never actually watch. No offense to the stars or anything, but if there's a precocious kid in a movie--much less a romantic comedy--then I'm probably going to hate it. Every time the trailer comes on the TV, I remember to take my birth control, actually.
But that shouldn't detract from the red carpet hotness. Ryan is predictably stunning, in his gray suit underneath which I know out-of-control abs are lurking. Rachel and Isla both look fantastic and radiant and yes, I do think that Abigail is cute, of course. I just feel like the kid playing matchmaker thing has been done to death.

I know Hayden Panettiere is dating a 30-year-old (co-star Milo Ventiglimia) but she can still enjoy being 18 and not go slutty clownmouth. Tone that down and color within the lines. Here's pics from the Berlin Film Festival. Hayden and Ryan Reynolds are starring in "Fireflies in the Garden" with Julia Roberts and Willem Dafoe. The film, about a Midwestern family torn apart by tragedy (oh they saw Kelis' jacket?), premiered at the festival. Ryan Reynolds is working this J. Crew teacher's assistant Great Gatsby thing and I'm feeling it. If only an outfit like that could also include a half-shirt.
Also premiering at the festival was "Elegy" with Penelope Cruz and Ben Kingsley. Penelope doffs her clothes a lot for the flick but I gather doesn't feel like a sex symbol. She said this when asked about whether she's considered to be a hot piece: "I've had plenty of offers (for roles) since I was 17. When people ask that I ask, 'a victim of what?'" WHAT? What are you saying? She's like visiting a foreign country except the people speak a different language and are all mentally ill at the same time. You're never going to figure out what the hell is going on!

Ryan Reynolds is pretty. See? Here he is at the premiere for his romantic comedy, "Definitely, Maybe," which sounds an awful lot like my answer to any questions about whether or not I plan on going to see the thing myself. The premiere was at the Santa Barbara Film Festival last night.
He seems like an affable enough guy, and he's pretty pleasant to look at, so perhaps you should oblige him with his request. As for me, I'm much more likely to go see a movie with a title that practically guarantees I'll see what I paid for, like "There Will Be Blood."
