First Daughter Jenna Bush got hitched. She married Henry Hager, whom she met while work on her father's 2004 re-electiion campaign. Well at least something nice came out of that. Dick Cheney managed not to shoot anybody in the face during the wedding.
The couple were married just before sundown beside a lake at the President's 1,600 acre Prairie Chapel ranch in Crawford, Texas. The bride and her mother Laura Bush wore Oscar De La Renta, who is a personal friend of the family. The got married in front of a limestone cross and altar which will remain as a permanent part of the property. Jenna's twin sister Barbara served as the maid of honor.
Jenna's the first daughter of an active President to be married in 16 years.
"This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the happy life ahead of (Jenna) and her husband, Henry," the president said in his weekly radio broadcast Saturday morning. "It's also a special time for Laura, who this Mother's Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle."
Wasn't Jenna a crazy drunken slut when she was younger? Way to clean up, babe.

The White House has announced Jenna Bush's engagement to Henry Hager, a former aid of Karl Rove. From USAToday.com:
Sally McDonough, press secretary for Laura Bush, said she didn't know when or where the wedding would take place.
"I can tell you that they are happy," she said of the president and first lady. Jenna Bush and Hager became engaged Wednesday while in Maine visiting the Bush family retreat in Kennebunkport. They've been dating for several years.
Well I guess someone has finally tamed the Bush wild child, Jenna. Gone are the days of careless abandonment, sticking tongues out at photographers and violating state alcoholic beverage laws. Do I care that both of those incidents happened over six years ago? Of course not. Good journalism is about rehashing the worst at the best point in someone's life.

Some skeevy dude in Argentina is claiming he's dating one of the First Daughters.

For Jenna Bush, international diplomacy only went so far while she was in South America: The White House is denying an Argentine man's claims that he and the First Daughter are dating.
Argentine magazine Caras reported that the blonder Bush twin, 25, was planning to spend Christmas with her new boyfriend, public relations student Ramiro Gonzalez Palazzo.
Gonzalez Palazzo, 25, reportedly told the magazine, "All I can say is that I have a lot of fun when we are together," and described Jenna as "humble and down-to-earth."
But First Lady Laura Bush's press secretary, Susan D. Whitson, laughed off the report, telling PEOPLE, "We have found that young men who talk to the press and claim to be the boyfriend of Barbara or Jenna are just expressing wishful thoughts."
Oh please, didn't she once smoke a bowl with Ashton Kutcher? Being this guy's obvious drug mule is an upgrade.
